    Great location and space

    After we'd had another VRBO cancel last-minute on our group before ACL, we were very lucky to find this place. The location was excellent, the house was spacious enough and had all we needed, and the hosts were super kind and welcoming. Would stay here again if we had the chance.

    Great neighborhood and location proximal to Barton springs and Zilker park area. Lots of space and rooms and amenities. Only issue was the door jnob was a little hard to turn to u lock and lock. Good communication with Tom though. Very accomodating. Would recommend.

    High School Reunion Stay

    We loved staying at Zilker neighborhood gem steps to Alamo Drafthouse & easy walk to Barton Springs! If was so beautiful, clean and an amazing location! The hosts are incredible also and are so quick to respond and meet any request. This VRBO is perfect for hosting a group of people for an Austin get away because the location is unmatched. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a VRBO in Austin because it is truly the best one I have ever stayed in. Any time I need a place to stay in Austin I will be booking this VRBO. Additionally, it is a short walk to El Ama for a perfect dinner spot! I cannot say more good things about this VRBO and the outdoor patio space with the twinkly lights is so charming! Highly recommend this VRBO to anyone traveling to Austin and I can’t wait to stay in it again for another fun occasion!

    We've lived in Austin more than 15 years - love the city and love being in the heart of things. We're devoted Barton Springs swimmers + Alamo Drafthouse fans. I work in the music industry here + love to recommend venues and bands, always love sharing what our city has to offer and how to make the most of a visit.

    Why they chose this property

    Convinced this is the single best location in Austin - close to just about everything, with a neighborhood feel. We love to walk over to Medici for coffee in the mornings, love to head to the Alamo for a movie with no need to rush (we leave 3 min before movie begins!) and also no need to park - literally a 300 foot walk. We probably go to Barton Springs Pool 200 days out of the year - maybe more. Zilker Park is an easy walk & even ACL theater is just across the bridge, as is the gorgeous central library.

    What makes this property unique

    Not to be repetitive, but location is unreal!! We also love the feel of the home - airy, full of light, relaxed, remarkably private considering how close it is to the action. Also the home has so many usable gathering spaces -- the backyard is inviting, the living room with a fireplace and beautiful windows, the kitchen seating nook, the separate TV room / game room / reading room, PLUS the backyard cottage with its own screened porch.
