Hi, Gail! Thank you so much for the fantastic review! It means a lot to us. We'd love to host you again anytime.
Very clean beautiful home. Even though it was in a little community it was still more secluded than the other ones. The beds were very comfy. It was a great place to get away.

Excellent option if spending time in Mount Rainier National Parl!
If you are going to be spending several days or more in Mount Rainer National Park, Ashford is the best place to stay as it's just 5 min from the park entrance. There are plenty of restaurants and a couple general store / grocery mart options. Perch was tucked into a secluded, peaceful neighborhood with lots of wild life and gorgeous views. The inside was super nice with comfy furniture and beds. There's a charcoal grill on the back porch that was nice to grill up some burgers while watching all the geese hang out in the pond in the backyard. We'll definitely stay here again!

Beautiful house, right near a trailhead! Very quiet, with a lovely view. I've actually booked the same location a second time already. I had a lot of questions and some technical troubles with booking, but the property manager was very kind, patient, and helpful.
Great place to statue night if you’re biding Mt. Rainier or the area!
Great communication for self checkin and recommendations to restaurants and groceries. Wonderful time had around the campfire. We didn’t cook but used the wine glasses. 😁. Coffee was supplied!

Clean comfortable house in a neighborhood in Ashford. Easily accessible hiking trails from house. Close to the entrance of Mt Raini er National Park. Highly recommend! Grocery shop before you arrive in Ashford as there are limited resources.

Hi, Catherine! Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We greatly appreciate it and we'd love to host you again some time.
We had a great time staying - lots of space for our group to spread out, could see a family of deer wandering around from the back patio, a short drive away from Mt Rainier National Park, big kitchen with the essentials, surprisingly good WiFi, and comfy beds and couch. The TV in the living room did not have Netflix available as an App to download which requires us to connect a computer via HDMI to watch a movie to unwind at the end of the night. We thought this was a bit unusual compared to other places we have stayed so I thought I’d mention in case helpful to others when packing for their stay. Overall a great place and we are already talking about a visit next year!

The property was very clean (except for a filthy coffee maker) but it is definitely no frills compared to other places we've stayed. It's in a quiet neighborhood but the description of the property is a bit misleading. The "lake view" and "on a lake" means there is a small shallow pond filled with algae on the edge of the back yard. There are front and back porches but there is no furniture on either so they are useless. There is a fireplace but it didn't work for us. The biggest issue is the air conditioning - there is only one unit to cool the entire place and it's in the living room. There is no A/C in the bedrooms and they remained quite warm for us no matter how cold we made the living room. All in all, it's not a horrible place if you don't expect much, but it was quite cozy for six adults.

Hi William! Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you found the home clean and cozy. We’re very sorry to hear about the issues you experienced — especially with the coffee maker, fireplace, and A/C. We’ll address these right away and also look into adding furniture for the porches to make them more enjoyable .
We truly appreciate your honesty, as it helps us improve. Thank you again for staying with us, and we hope to have the chance to host you again under better circumstances.
Some friends and I stayed here for a couple nights in August, '23, to attend a wedding.
The property is in a nice, quiet location, which is as advertised
Overall I would give this property a 4.2. Here are the pros and cons.
Pros:
- Easy check in process.
- Property management is very responsive and friendly
- Mostly clean. Chip bag under the couch, and decent amount of dirt in the slider track. Beds, bedrooms, bathroom, and kitchen were all very clean.
- Comfy beds
- Big tv, with complimentary streaming
- Lots of labels and directions to know where things are, and how to run the heating/cooling.
- Covered, private deck. Great for morning coffee!
- Open floor concept allows people to socialize in one area.
Cons:
- Not enough cooking utensils.
- Only glassware to drink out of. Need plastic tumblers for kiddos.
- Tankless water heater needs to be adjusted. Water doesn't get hot enough when showering.
- Porch needs a light sensing porch light. It gets extremely dark out there, and its difficult to see the keyless entry buttons, if you dont remember to leave the porch light on.
- Minor house keeping issues (stated above)
- The house is in desperate need of hooks to hang things in the entrance, the bathrooms, and in the bedrooms.
The "cons" are little things that can be easily rectified. Nothing to stop you from booking this place, which I would do again if I am up in Ashford. Its a great little place in the woods!
