What a great place! Everything was as it should be and what I expected. We had an awesome time just relaxing with family. This is a cool spot and exactly what I wanted for a quick getaway with no distractions. We had fun seeing the deer, turkeys and the hummingbirds.
Nestled in the woods far enough to see decent stars, and relaxing to view them from a hot tub! Our son enjoyed exploring the creek running along the yard.
A great place for a quick getaway to relax. The house and property were very clean and host was easy to work with and accommodating. It’s in a nice quiet location.
It was amazing !!! Very family friendly and accommodated. It has everything and much more than what was expected. I enjoy it and my family as well . Thank you !! God Bless the owners that thought of every little detail.
My husband and I wanted a nice quite place to getaway over the Thanksgiving Holiday and this place was perfect. We enjoyed the hottub and the fireplace. We drove through the Shenandoah Valley and went to the Luray Caverns. We definitely want to come back and explore the the area around the house next time. Zeb was great at giving us suggestions.

We were looking for a place that isn't too far from everything and can accommodate my family of 6. This house worked out well for us, I just wish we could have taken advantage of all the amenities. We planned to use the fire pit the last day but a storm rolled in and rained all night.
We came as the leaves were changing and it was beautiful.
The only point if caution I would say is that the address is in Monroe, va it is actually about 20 from Monroe down winding roads. It wasn't an issue but did take us a little further than we expected.
Cozy cottage and property is very private. House was very clean and the host included so many extras like soap, shampoo, toilet paper and towels. Kitchen was well stocked, a fully equipped coffee bar and they even included a s’mores basket. I especially loved the swings by the stream. The host was quick to response to messages. Hope to stay here again in the fall.
Had a really enjoyable time staying here. Zeb and Ellen really put in a lot of work into paying attention to detail to make it as nice as possible. Our kids really enjoyed playing with the toys and looking at the creek.
I would recommend getting there while it is still light since the roads are really dark and challenging to drive especially when there is fog.
Overall, it was a great choice and would recommend it as a nice cozy getaway location.
Wonderful home. Plenty of towels, comfortable bedding, functioning kitchen, great space overall. We didn’t need the dinning room or items that would be convenient for a toddler, but they had them! High chair and pack n play! Would be a great place for a family to stay. My husband and I enjoyed our stay, easy check in, and basic needs are provided. I even found a first aid kit when I needed a bandaid. Hot tub is fantastic and relaxing. 10/10 recommend and will hope to stay again!
The house and outside of the property were just perfect! The swings and hot tub were the high light of our stay ( be sure to check the tire swing for any nests, made that mistake and ended up being stung by a wasp….nest fell with me off the swing so we carefully moved it away from the swing) Inside was cozy and comfy. AC unit was a little hard to understand at first but it works like a gem! Will definitely be recommending and would totally stay again
We chose this property for a getaway weekend because it was within an hour and had a hot tub and firepit. It exceeded our expectations and we wished could have stayed another night. Everything we needed was there...even condiments in the fridge! The coffee bar was much appreciated as well as towels for the hot tub. Just so many thoughtful details I can't list them all. My boyfriend and I both love old houses so it was fun to walk the property and explore the house while we tried to figure out what the original place may have looked like. All the details, old and new, added to the charm. A home away from home.
and so many extras
This property was the perfect place to unplug and getaway from the world. It was soothing to fall asleep to the sound of the creek right outside the main floor bedroom window.
The kitchen has almost everything you need for at home meal prep except I'd advise bringing your own set of knives. The ones provided were okay, but not the sharpest and there was no bread knife. I know this is minor to most people. Also, I would have preferred stainless steel cookware, but what's there is workable.
The hosts warned that the WiFi connection was slow, but for our needs, it was more than adequate. The goal was to enjoy the surroundings (nearby Blue Ridge Parkway was a lot of fun to do a kind of "hop on hop off" tour of our own), so this did not in any way affect our stay.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this property, especially if you are looking to be surrounded by amazing views.
