The floor plan was great for large families. The kitchen needs to be upgraded appliance-wise; another oven would be a huge benefit in a house this size. I just feel it could have been a bit cleaner, specifically the air returns

Overall a great stay, access to the beach and ocean view was amazing. The location can’t be beat. Pool table was in tough shape which was a disappointment. Overall would stay again.

Best House on the OBX

My wife grew up on the outerbanks and I used to live there myself. We have since moved away but come back twice a year to visit her parents. We have stayed in quite a few rental places on the outerbanks in the past 20years and I have to say, in comparison to other places we have stayed, this was the hands down absolute best OBX rental we have ever stayed in. The place was exceptionally clean and the kitchen was totally redone. The views of Nags Head pier are amazing, especially is you like to surf. There's nothing wrong with this property and you will be happy. Hope others get to enjoy it. We will be back!

Lovely quiet beach home

First time at the OBX, family of 6 adults. Loved this place, amazing location. Pool was way too cold to use but hot tub was lovely and warm ❤️ Our tiny pups were in heaven, lots of beautiful beach walks and long runs ( 5k every morning) on the pavement that runs along the front of the house. There were a couple of issues (house keeping) but they were resolved almost immediately with instant communication with the rental company. Super friendly town, we shall be back 😍

Great house and location!

Property manager was responsive to any questions we had while on the trip to make sure our stay was great. Property was great and as advertised. Heated pool, hot tub, direct beach access. Plus the house was walkable to multiple bars, restaurants, and groceries which made the weekend even better. Property was actually ready ahead of schedule but due to a tech issue we couldn't get in until right at scheduled check-in time. All in all next time we're back in OBX we'd definitely look at coming back!

Overall lovely stay

The Lazy Lizard was an overall lovely stay for our family (17 people). The location was central to anything needed, the beach access was perfect, and you can’t beat a fire pit. There is some room for improvement in general cleanliness (rug stains, etc.), modernization (out of date furnitures in all bedrooms make it feel dated, and communication with the agency was poor. The only true downside was for those who want to rest while others ‘play’ as the noise travels from the game room area all the way to the 3rd floor.

Also, with the pool and right on the ocean you don't ever really need to leave! The house has all the amenities you need; plenty of bedrooms & bathrooms, double washer & dryer, dishwasher, grills etc.. It is a quirky 80's decor but it is a fun place to vacation.

Reviewer Comments: Great ocean front location/a tavern right across the street-convenient for a quick bite/near many tourist sites/recommend Jockeys Ridge!1 dishwasher was broken and repair was never completed while we were there. Sofa fabric very stained/1 previously broken sofa leg was repaired same day that we reported it. Things we wish were there: waste cans in bathrooms/bedrooms/ fans/ vegetable peeler/more flat baking pans/additional stove and a broom! Loved the hot tub but pool was cold. Family enjoyed volleyball, pool table and other games provided with the property. All in all we had a great time and would rent again .

Beach view and access superlative. House is spacious and perfect for large family. Kitchen supplies need updating. It's the little things that make a difference. Almost every coffee mug is identical white - not ideal for 8 adults to tell apart. Too much mismatched kitchen supplies for my taste and no storage containers. The house was wonderful, the kitchen merely adequate. Some basic maintenance needed. Chairs repaired, etc. But overall, a WONDERFUL vacation!
