About this property

Beachfront Cottage with Amazing Sunset views & Quiet Setting.

The rose covered cottage sits on the water's edge, overlooking Pocomo Harbor. You will feel as though you have stepped back in time. Everything seems to slow down. The Nantucket breeze wafts through the house, the smell of the salt air hits your nostrils and the sounds of the harbor lulls you to sleep at night.

Once you enter the cottage, the living room holds two captains bunks, which you will find the perfect spot to read or relax. Com-cast & Internet Wifi connection allows you to keep in contact with the outside world if you so choose to use it.

The kitchen is off to the left, with a high cathedral ceiling, large white porcelain farm sink, small dishwasher and hopefully most of the kitchen items you will need to prepare your meals.
The master bedroom is off the kitchen, holding a queen size bed, and has a lovely view of Pocomo harbor.

The second bedroom is also off of the kitchen, with its full bed, and a view of the water.

Off of the back of the kitchen you will find the closed in sun room, with windows that wrap around the cottage, allowing for the perfect dining room to watch the sail boats go by or the sunsets and sunrises, both of which are incredible.

Straight through the living room and sun room, to the right you will find a short hall way which leads to a twin bedroom. The bathroom has a very basic shower, sink and toilet, part of the charm of stepping back in time. Also down the hall you will find the screened in family room, with comfortable sofas, seating and a TV. This is a perfect spot to play games, watch TV or nap, as the gentle breeze comes through.

The large deck wraps around the back side of the cottage, allowing for sunning in teak lounge chairs, dinning at one of the two outdoor tables quietly, or entertaining your family. The large yard is perfect for playing croquet, or catching fireflies if you are here when they arrive mid summer.

Stairs from the lawn, lead down to the beach, where you can swim in calm waters and enjoy the tides calmly going in and out or, use one of several kayaks that are sitting on our beach to discover Polpis harbor inlets around the bend of Pocomo Point.
Ride or Walk to Pocomo Point to view the wind surfers or swim, and from there you'll have a View of Town.

After your day's end, enjoy an outdoor shower under the stars.

It's all there just waiting for your arrival. Come to our cottage on the water and leave with a vacation experience you will never forget.

Pocomo paradise

My wife and I have been renting in Pocomo many summers, but this Pocomo cottage is in a class of its own. Right on the shore, cute as a button, with all amenities provided. Considered it a privilege to be there.

Lovely Vintage Nantucket Cottage

In a word, perfection! Beyond charming, Aline’s cottage is like a warm, cozy Hug! My husband and I rented this cottage for our 50 th anniversary- sentimental as we spent our honeymoon on Nantucket! The vintage feel really took us back to the Nantucket of 50 years ago. The porch is all you need - views and breezes just beautiful! The beach is lovely. Aline was great to communicate with- we loved this retreat and hope to return next year! BTW, the lovely Wauwinet hotel is just a 5 minute drive and a lovely place for dining.!

Serene and beautiful

This cottage is a gem! This is our first time using Vrbo and this cottage. It is everything the reviewers said it is. We love that it feels so cozy and yet it has everything we would need for our stay. Aline is a wonderful host and very accommodating to us. Classic beach cottage with everything you need

Aline’s cottage harkens back to a simpler time and provides the perfect spot for a relaxing and fun filled Nantucket beach vacation. The screened in porch and backyard deck are the perfect spots for enjoying morning coffee and as well as evening cocktails with the sun setting in the distance. You are surrounded by beautiful views of the ocean, the coskata-coatue wildlife refuge, countless birds and bunnies and the kite surfers enjoying breezy days on the harbor. The lovely beach is just below the backyard and beach chairs are provided. The fully equipped kitchen and outdoor grill are perfect for cooking at home - but the lobster rolls and local oysters at The Wauwinet are only a short drive away if you want to go out. We truly enjoyed our stay and look forward returning.

This property was absolutely perfect for my family, it was exactly as advertised ... quaint, clean, very easy access to a calm beach (great for families with young kids) and the views were unbelievable. The owner was also very responsive and easy to work with. We unfortunately got very unlucky with the weather for the few days we were staying at the property but we will be back and hope the weather works out next time.

Family Vacation in August

A treasure in Pocomo

This treasure of a vacation rental gives the feeling of what Nantucket used to be----simple and unique with enough charm to last until your next vacation. Our family didn't want to leave this amazing location. One of our most cherished family vacations. The cottage is so welcoming with everything you need not to mention so spacious for a small cottage! The view and outdoor feel is something you must live to understand and fully appreciate---- a magical place for the lucky ones who find it. Heavenly Nantucket spot

As we reached the end of the driveway to the property, we were delighted to see the charming cottage, firepit with plenty of seating overlooking the bay, wonderful outdoor spaces and grill and stunning waterfront location. The outdoor shower is enclosed but open to the sky, with perfect water temperatures and pressure so it's wonderful to use after outdoor activities. The cottage has everything you would need, from cooking tools to books and magazines, maps, binoculars...We loved taking the kayaks out. We had a question for the owner, and were able to reach her immediately. This is a lovely cottage!

A Special Place in Nantucket

We have been visiting Nantucket for approximately 40 years and we have stayed in many places but this cottage is beyond compare. Located on Pocomo Beach in one of the premiere areas of the island. The view is spectacular. The privacy is unusually rare on the Island with no near neighbors. The cottage itself is cosy and fully furnished. It even has room air conditioners and WIFI. The cottage is near everything you want to visit: Sconset, Wauwinet, Brant Point, Bartlett Farm,etc. etc. etc. Town is a short drive away (10 to 15 minutes). We can not recommend it highly enough.

Cottage with amazing views!

As stated by the previous reviewer, the cottage is charming, well-stocked, clean, & comfortable. The bedrooms are a bit small. The backyard is flat and perfect for family outdoor games. The kayaks are great for a morning or evening paddle. A beautiful view with your morning coffee and plan to be at the house each night for the sunset! It's extraordinary!

Just Perfect

The LeMaitres cottage in Pocomo is absolutely beautiful. The cottage has everything you need and the views are out of this world. The cottage feels like an authentic beach cottage and had more room than you might think. We had a small catered party on the lawn and everyone came away so impressed. We are all still talking about the sunsets--all these years on Nantucket and I had no idea sunsets from Pocomo were this incredible. In addition, the LeMaitres were kind and responsive. 5 stars!
