Enjoy walking distance to the AlamoDome & Hemisfair Park or a 3-minute drive to downtown/riverwalk. Wherever you're headed in central SA, Rosie's Casita is the place for you!

The Mesquite Retreat is a 1917 Craftsman Style home that has been thoughtfully remodeled from the ground up to accommodate you and your guests with all the modern amenities guest expect to find.

We have fully renovated the home from the ground up to make it an open floor plan while keeping each bedroom space separate from one another.
The floors are the original flooring installed in 1917. We were lucky the previous owners installed thick carpet to keep them in the best condition considering the age.

The master bedroom features a large walk in closet with an private master bathroom retreat designed to make you feel like you're visiting a spa.
The full size bedroom behind the kitchen is next to a shared bathroom with a single vanity and large walk in shower.

The double bunk bedroom (which used to be the kitchen) is perfect for friends who want to share a room or 4 children. Couples could bunk up, but that is up to you and your guests!

Enjoy your favorite cable television shows or stream straight from the smart TV while cooking or eating your favorite meals with the open living, dining and kitchen space.

The back yard has ample space to enjoy your favorite game of corn hole or just sit and chill while cooling off in the cowboy pool.

Guests have full and private access to the property.

We only allow dogs for a fee of $75 for the first pet and $50 for the second pet. A maximum of two dogs are allowed.

Pool will be filled and open from March through October.

Pool will be closed from November through February.

The Casita was a great location for everything myself and family wanted to do on our stay. The house was cozy and comfy and oh my the beds were amazingly comfortable. Im sure we will be back to stay on another trip back to San Antonio.

Close to Alamodome

If you have an event at the Alamodome, this property is only about a few minutes walk from the event center. It's great condition inside, very comfortable, but the absolute best part of this VRBO is the owners, they are very professional and are very responsive to any of your needs. The neighbors keep to themselves and noise levels quiet down at the normal hours, there is some train noise at night. House has both Keurig and regular coffee makers, all stovetop cooking implements, full fridge, great wifi, smart TV, comfy beds, offstreet gated parking, and easy access also to the riverwalk (we used uber).

Nasty, dirty house. Spider webs everywhere and does not look like the picture. Backyard and stock pool look nothing like the picture. We asked for them to send someone to clean and expected me to let them clean while we were there. House stunk and fridge and stove were disgusting. Never again will I book here.

House remodel

My house was being remodeled so we had to be out. We had originally booked a beach house in Galveston but it was cancelled because of Hurricane Beryl. I quickly found this location and the owners were flexible and allowed to bring 3 dogs instead of 2. We did run into a couple of small issues but the owners were very responsive, respectful, and followed up with us. I would suggest adding a can opener if possible, we made most of our meals but didn’t have a can opener. It’s a cute property, very well kept, and the area is quiet. I would absolutely come back to this property. Thank you!
