A group of high school friends in their 50s gathered for a weekend. The home is comfortable and charming. Just be aware that an 1830s farmhouse comes with some quirks.
This is an old-fashioned house but if you are comfortable with that, it is an excellent place for a large group to gather. The kitchen is well stocked and the outside patio area can accommodate a large crowd. We spent most of our time there because it was a beautiful night and day in May. It’s in the country and very quiet (except for bird calls) and feels very private. If you are tall, some of the upstairs rooms and bathrooms might be a bit challenging. (I am 6’4” and still slept upstairs, so it’s not impossible.). Mike, the owner, was extremely responsive via text to the few questions we had. And he went above and beyond when we left something behind in one of the bedrooms — He searched for it, found it, and is mailing it to its very relieved owner.
Check in/out was super convenient and the house easily accommodated our group. Patio was relaxing to hang out on. Conveniently located between Red Hook and Rhinebeck in a quiet neighborhood.
A wonderfully comfortable, sunny home with a well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, nice artwork, hot tub, fireplace. Our group of 8 had plenty of space. It’s just a few minutes from town and the train station. We all loved it.
Charming house. Patio nice with fire pit. Location a short drive to lovely town of Rhinebeck. Good location to explore Hudson Valley tourism destinations. Extremely responsive owner.
Fantastic stay at this old, but in great condition, farmhouse. We had 8 adults that stayed comfortably. Mike was easy to reach and communicated well all the things we needed to know. Very close to the town of Rhinebeck. Make sure and bring your own washcloths.
The house was just right for our extended family. We wish we could have taken advantage of all the wonderful features but we were there for a short stay. The only thing missing was wood for the fireplace which we would have loved to enjoy! Mike is a very receptive host and was just great! Hope to stay there again in the future!
A fabulous stay with my 4 dearest friends! I live locally and needed a large place! My out of state friends were so happy with our warm and comfy farm house! We all love to cook together so we were so happy kitchen was so well stocked with cookware, lovely serving pieces, cloth napkins!! Lovely bedrooms, plenty of linens!! Fabulous location!! We could walk to pick our own apples!!
We stayed here for a girls getaway and attended a workshop at the Omega Institute which is an easy 29 minute drive. We had a great time and enjoyed the house and loved that we each had our own bedroom. The house is charming and has beautiful outside area. Very close to Rhinebeck for shopping and dining. Uber & Lyft services available and good WiFi too. Thanks for a great stay!
Had ten staying comfortably; the age of the house lends ambiance but it was built when folks were smaller. Our 6' 5'' guest had to duck through the doorways; took it in good humor.
This is a great place, close to center with easy access to Seward, Kenai or up to Fairbanks. Tony is a responsive host with a lot of info about area. Their are plenty of restaurants nearby and a great walking path across the street. 10/10
Mike was incredibly communicative leading up to check-in, throughout our stay, and even afterwards. We accidentally left some items behind, and he was kind enough to ship them back to us right away. I truly couldn't say nicer things about him--such a thoughtful, genuine host. Thank you so much, Mike!
Six of us enjoyed a getaway at this historic, cute, comfortable, roomy farm house! The house had plenty of rooms and beds for all of us. The grounds were gorgeous. We especially enjoyed the proximity to Rhinebeck and Hyde Park! We would stay there again and encourage others to do so!
The property is incredibly beautiful. Well-manicured with BBQ and a great Hot Tub. We loved the house. It has so many cool adornments that we were fascinated with. My grandson loved the basketball court, and we all played pickle ball. Bedrooms very comfortable and clean as were the bathrooms. Its close to the stores & to town. Just minutes away. Plus, the dog's lover the biggest back yard they have ever seen.
Our frilends loved staying at this warm and lovely farmhouse. The manager couldn't have been more helpful
Thank you for a memorable fall weekend in the Hudson Valley
The house was perfect for a weekend with friends. Cozy, beautiful surroundings, lots of space indoors and out, and comfortable beds. We didn’t have kids with us but it would be a great place for families-games, legos, basketball etc.
My family and I stayed here for Thanksgiving and we had a wonderful time. We felt at home. The location was perfect for exploring the Rhinebeck village . We received helpful communication and prompt responses from the host. The house was spacious, clean, and well maintained.
My family of 6 including my 95 years old mother really enjoyed our stay. Very cozy and comfortable surroundings. We spent a lot of time around the big kitchen table. My son finally got the best of me on the outdoor ping pong table. Plenty of room to walk and birdwatch on the big piece of property.
Six friends & I stayed here for a little weekend getaway, and we had a great time. Communication with Mike was excellent - he was easy to reach & gave us a ton of recommendations for local spots to visit as well as info & tips about the house. The house was cozy & comfy, and we loved the quiet location. The town was a quick 7 minute drive - we had fun eating, shopping, & walking around.
We would definitely visit again!
Had a great stay here, turning up to lights on, music playing and a warm house was perfect for the time of year, with ample firewood for the gorgeous open fire, and a quick easy drive into the center of Rhinebeck, everything we wanted. Communication was great, and all check-in & check-out was easy.
