About this property

Sky's Creek Retreat Cabin on 7 acres with a creek BRAND NEW HOT TUB!

New listing as we moved to self management. We are Super Hosts, and a Guest Favorite on our listing at the other booking site.

Experience your mountain getaway in a genuine log cabin that features a private 7 acre mountain lot with a creek, waterfall running through the back yard and mountain views from the front including a
BRAND NEW 7 PERSON HOT TUB!
Located between Valle Crucis and DT Banner Elk. It's within 30 minutes to anywhere you want to go.
The cabin features all the high end amenities you will need to enjoy your stay to the fullest so you don't need to leave if you don't want to!
The cabin is 2400 sq ft with 2 king beds on the first floor, one with a master bath and the other with a shared bath to the first floor with its own entrance to the bedroom. Upstairs has a bedroom with a queen bed with direct access to bathroom, a bedroom for children with bunk beds and a shared bath. All the rooms have TV's as well!

The main floor has a beautiful stone gas fireplace with a Samsung “Frame” TV, leather reclining sofa (3 seats recline) and a reclining massage chair! The kitchen has a gas range and all the amenities you will need to cook anything you can think of (including air fryer and slow cooker).

We use a tankless water heater so hot water will never run out and a well with perfect water without chemicals.

Rain or shine you can enjoy the outdoors on either of the massive, covered decks. A gabled porch in the front with a view of the mountains, or the covered deck in the back listening to the waterfall.

The back deck has a BRAND NEW 7 Person HOT TUB!

The hot tub uses a salt system instead of chlorine which gives a better experience as it produces less chlorine.

The back porch also features a gas grill (propane provided) and a dining table that will sit 8 guests.

The home also offers a 220v EV charger for guests to use placed in the driveway for easy access.

There are 3 firepit areas; one in the backyard near the creek, a second outdoor fireplace is covered by a pergola sitting on an upper part of the property, and a third has been added to a wooded area at the front of the property which includes a tent pad for camping if guests wish to bring their own tent, sleeping gear and enjoy. This space is visible from the cabin so if young ones are using it, they can still be monitored from the front porch.

Book your family or multi family trip for a true mountain getaway experience in a completely private but less than 30 minutes away from all the attractions the area has to offer. Although once you get to the cabin you might not want to leave!

This property DOES NOT ALLOW PETS, if you bring a service animal there is an extra cleaning fee of $400. (our child is allergic to dogs)

Maximum Occupancy is 10 people, 6 adults and 4 children. Please do not use our cabin for an event space. Only guests who are registered with the rental are allowed to stay.

4 cars maximum for stay, you can request an exception in advance of a booking.

What to expect from the rental seasons in the mountains:

Spring: Typically runs from late March to early June. Spring is great as the attractions are opening back up, flowers are starting to bloom, and obviously temps are warming up as well.

Summer: Probably my personal favorite season to be in the mountains as the warm temps bring a warm summer breeze and 0 humidity. Rhodies are in bloom, fireflies make their appearances (which is an amazing experience at our cabin) and of course all of the outdoor activities the high country has to offer.

Fall: The most popular time of year to visit! The changing of the leaves is the star of Fall, and an amazing experience at our property.

Winter: Snow is the star for Winter which Snow sports and snow escapes are the most popular reasons to stay.

We enjoy going to our cabin all of these seasons. This isn't just a rental cabin for us. We enjoy time there very often and its more like our second home we share with guests. You will notice this as everything is upgraded to our liking such as linens, a kitchen that is a joy to cook in, mattresses etc. was put in place for us to enjoy too.

Highlighted amenities:
-hot tub
-linens/bedding/mattresses
-EV charger in driveway
-tankless water heater (hot water never runs out)
-perfectly clean well water without chemicals
-dishes/silverware/all cooking utensils
-all appliances are new
-3 dining areas
-3 firepit area
-perfect ratings from our guests

There is an alarm system, which is deactivated while guests are there but it controls the fire alarm carbon monoxide detectors so please do not try to disable. There is also a camera integrated with the alarm system which points at the driveway so we can monitor traffic coming in and out of the cabin. THERE ARE NO OTHER CAMERAS ON PREMISE OR INSIDE THE CABIN.
