Welcome to Villa Glorimer Lake House Retreat, a lovely home (brand new in the market) in the mountains of Guayama, PR overlooking and colliding with Lake Carite. The spectacular views and feeling of peace this place has to offer appeals to those who like the tranquility and aesthetic of nature and also those who are looking for some privacy and seclusion.

Villa Glorimer has a very open floor plan along with a very large and amazing terrace where you can sip your morning coffee while watching the mist clear from the mountains or sip wine with friends while watching the sunset and listen to the sounds of nature.

Eight lucky guests can be comfortably accommodated in our home. The space is also very kid-friendly as there are many things for them to do during their stay. This is a great place to disconnect and have an amazing time outdoors. Entertainment for all members of the family is guaranteed. From theaters, casinos, forests, parks and festivals there is no room for boredom. Walk down to the lake and fish in the dock.or enjoy our fire Pit .Go kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, sightseeing, the list is endless.

This place has a fully equipped kitchen and outdoor grill for those nights you want to stay in and enjoy a meal next to the indoor fireplace. It also has a 65in. flat screen TV and a huge jacuzzi .

To arrive, your will need to rent a car. This home is about an hour away from the San Juan airport. Once you book, I will send you a pdf Manual with directions, places to visit, entertainment options, safety information etc. Needless to say that during your stay, I am always a phone call or text away! Identification with required photo of each guest before check in

Check in process is super convenient! Property owner is very helpful and has great communication! This place is amazing!! Everything about it was perfect! If you are staying in PR, don’t bother looking anywhere else. Just book it!!!

Such a peaceful place

The whole experience was very relaxing and peaceful. We just wanted a place to decompress and that was achieved. The kayak and lake were wonderful, the hot tub was as hoped for and the kids loved the pool table. Thank you so much for a great time.

An amazing experience

A very unique and relaxing house. We just loved sitting out on the deck and admiring the nature around us. Kayaking on the lake was amazing, and our host was excellent with communication. It was the perfect temperature for our entire stay. We will be back!

A peaceful mountain hideaway

We found ourselves in a spacious, airy house with a beautiful mountain and lake view. The house has three kayaks for exploring the lake, which is quite extensive (look at it on the map). Plenty of options for places to hang out, including a huge attached deck and a lakeside firepit. Very comfortable and well-provisioned. We were there in mid-April and never had to run the AC.

Beautiful View

Lovely cabin retreat. The nature is beautiful and the house is well designed to enjoy the view. My family had many great days eating and cooking on the deck. The cabin's rustic and quirky space made us feel as if we were both in Puerto Rico while also in another distant place in the rural mountainous US mainland (or Europe?). Only drawbacks: the bathrooms and roads are very deteriorated with water damage and erosion... That will hopefully not be an issue for any of you since Efrain, the host, did mention he was going to renovate after our stay.

Outstanding Getaway!

I am writing to share our experience during our recent stay at the Villa Glorimer in Puerto Rico, booked through VRBO. Upon arrival, we were immediately taken by the villa's stunning location. Nestled amidst lush greenery, the property offered breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The villa itself was beautifully maintained, with tasteful rustic decor that perfectly complemented the tropical setting. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities, ensuring a comfortable stay for all of us. The outdoor area, with its inviting hot tubs and comfortable lounging spaces, were a particular highlight. It provided the perfect setting for relaxation and socializing. Gorgeous view

Really cool cabin with huge deck and fantastic views of Lake Carite. Good communication with property manager who immediately responded to any issues. All the bedrooms had fans and AC, and hurricane shutter can black out all light if you want to sleep in. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for my family of six. Only thing to be aware of is that the walls in the bedrooms don't go all the way to the ceiling, which means you can easily hear from one room to the next, so not much privacy if that's a concern. I'd definitely recommend an SUV if renting this house. The road down to the gate is not in great shape, and you'll want some clearance. A 4x4 would be ideal, especially if it rains a lot. We did lose power for about half a day, but that's to be expected in a remote area of PR like this. The owner said he was going to be installing solar panels and batteries to maintain power during outages in the future, so that would alleviate that problem. Either way, it wasn't a big deal, we were out and about anyway. The house comes with some nice kayaks which I definitely recommend taking advantage of, kayaking Lake Carite was really enjoyable. The kayaks are big and heavy though, and you have get them down to the lake and back though, which is about 200 meters, so just be prepared for that. Not far from the lovely town of Guayama where there's a great restaurant called Prime Market.

Esta propiedad cuenta con muchas atracciones distintas, incluyendo espacios variados para sentarse y admirar la naturaleza. Disfrutamos mucho del jacuzzi y los kayaks. El propietario nos envió toda la información que ibamos a necesitar de antemano y siempre estuvo disponible si teníamos cualquier duda. Magical country house

This was our second stay in Villa Glorimer this year. On both occasions, we have left reluctantly and wanting to hace stayed longer. The owner and administrator both are dedicated and available and keep the property at top shape. The views and ambiance are spectacular. This place will be on our regular rotation to come and stay again.

Family gets together in the mountains.

We had a wonderful time at this house in the mountains by lake Carite. It was spacious, very clean and full of kitchen ware. Lots of games for the kids to play and an outside barbecue on a beautiful porch with a gorgeous view of the lake and surrounding hills.From the house at a short distance on a steep hill we were able to launch our kayaks and paddleboars and enjoyed that very much. We highly recommend this house and hope to return some day.

Relaxing beautiful stay

We had an amazing stay. I literally forgot about everything while staying here. The view is simply mesmerizing. The house invites you to spend time together with your family and that was a plus for me because we are always so busy with work. We will definitely stay here again.

This is a beautiful property. The open floor plan house and wraparound porch give unrestricted views to the lake and mountains. The house is well cared for and has everything that you could need. The owner was very attentive and available. It felt like a magical place and we didn’t want to leave!!!

Wonderful time!!!

We had a wonderful time at Villa Glorimer!!! As soon as we walked in, my teens dropped their phones and couldn’t believe the view (Mind that they are seasoned travelers). We started walking around, exploring the property. We used the BBQ, made s’mores, played dominoes, etc. The view is simply unbelievable. The vibe of the cabin is unsurpassed. Everything we needed was available and the owner was very attentive and made sure we were comfortable. Will definitely be back soon!!!

Hidden Gem

I am so happy we rented this property. Due to COVID, I wanted to go to a place that felt like an escape, somewhere I didn’t feel like I was home, here in PR. Villa Glorimel did exactly this; we truly felt we were in another country, from the architecture of the house, to the views and the cold temperatures. My international travel woes dissipated with this property. Must and will certainly return.

Villa Magica en La Montaña!!

Totalmente recomendado!! La finca tan bien cuidada espaciosa, la vista del lago impresionante, la limpieza y la decoración De la Villa, totalmente equipada que solo tienes que llevar la comida y bebida. No hace falta nada más. También agradecemos a nuestro host, Junior, quien estuvo tan accesible en todo momento y dispuesto a acomodar todos nuestros pedidos, y a la Señora Gloria que dejó la casa impecable y con el fabuloso detalle de dejarnos la casa decorada de Navidad! Llegar y que reciban con vinos y frituras "homemade" como cortesía de la casa, fue simplemente mágico. La fogata dentro de la casa y la barbacoa en la mega terraza, son solo algunas de las dos maravillas que tiene esta villa en la Montana, donde pudimos despejarnos y estar en contacto con la hermosa naturaleza y paisaje de nuestra isla. Volveremos sin falta!! pero con muchos más abrigos, pues hace friiio de noche!! lleven sus mantas y bufandas, pues no es relajo! de noche con la brisa se siente como en 60 grados! Divino!!!!

Relaxing retreat to a cabin in the lake

This is a really nice cabin in the mountains of Guayama with an excellent view of Lago Carite. My wife and I stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed it. The owner and caretaker of the property were very attentive and accessible. The living room and kitchen are very open and have a fantastic view of the lake. The deck is huge and would be perfect for entertaining 10-15 people. The bedrooms are fine, but “no frills.” Two bedrooms with long-sized beds, and a third with three beds that would work well for kids or maybe 1-2 young adults. There’s no AC, but there are multiple modern fans - we were there during the hottest part of the year and did not want for AC. The two bathrooms are a bit rundown, but they serve their purpose. Getting to the cabin is a fun little adventure down a long, windy 2-lane mountain highway, followed by a short but very bumpy road. An SUV is highly recommended. The owner provided good directions with pictures, but if you’re not used to driving in PR, it may be a bit hair-raising. The cabin has electricity, wifi Internet (not fast enough to stream hi-def, but it works well otherwise), and running water (not sure if it’s potable or not). Sleeping with the coquis and rain at night was fantastic, and there are LOTS of flowers and birds all around the property - very relaxing. Note: kayaks are not available on the property, but if you communicate with the owner in advance you may be able to get something worked out. All in all, it’s a great spot, a bit rustic, but totally worth it as long as you’re not expecting to be in the lap of luxury. We’ll likely try to go back with friends at some point. 😊

The open feeling of this house is enhanced by the view from any part of the house via the balcony around the house. The patio has comfortable seating and a great place for quiet eating and conversations. The kitchen is ready for cooking and opens to a large comfortable dining/living room with large ceiling fans. The bedrooms has closet space, chairs, large ceiling fans and additional floor fans. The house can accommodate 6-8 persons.
