We have lived in the area for 25 years and at this property for 10. We saw a derelict, run down, repo house and imagined the possibilities! We have turned this property into our quiet, peaceful lit bit of paradise! We originally build the guesthouse to use for our visiting family, but then saw how much we enjoyed hosting in general and decided to make it available to all. We absolutely love living in northern Michigan and are excited to share this year round beautiful area to any guests!
Why they chose this property
After living in Traverse City, close to all the hustle and bustle, we longed for more property and a quiet countryside….and that’s exactly what this is! There is not a single day that goes by without seeing some kind of animal in nature. Cranes occasionally hang out in our field as well as deer. (With the occasional black bear too!)
What makes this property unique
One thing that all our guests really enjoy is the outdoor covered pavilion. It offers a large fireplace, casual seating as well as dining seating for four. Our free range chickens love to make friends with our guest too!
