The location is great for getting away from it all. There is enough in town to keep your interest and plenty of nearby features including parks, breweries and shopping.
We passed through town on a long road trip. This spot was a wonderful spot to relax for the night. It has everything you need. The area is quiet and it was so comfortable for us. We will definitely look into staying again next time we're in town.
John and I were very happy to find this newly remodeled home so close to the Mon Forest and Cranberry Glades hiking trails. The house had everything we wanted and the bed was super comfortable. Loved the easy door lock system. It was a great place to stay.
Very nice little cottage. Super clean and all the amenities were in great condition. Love it. So peaceful for a little getaway for just my husband and I. Definitely recommend this place.

For the price I would have expected a little more amenities. Was no coffee, paper towels, or grill. Bare bones house with an odd layout and a semi fresh paint job to give the illusion of being remodeled.

Wow!! I guess you are the first person we couldn't please. I'm glad the hundreds of other guests(between VRBO and Airbnb) have given me a 10/10 and have appreciated the $40,000 "illusional" remodel that happened to this house 2 years ago. Complete new bathroom, paint throughout the interior of the house, new siding outside, new porches in the front and back, refinished floors throughout, new roof, and new appliances. Not sure what is "Illusional" about that. I guess you didn't see the book on the coffee table that had the before pictures of the remodel. The amenities are on the listing. If a grill were important to you, then that would be something you would need to look for on the amenities page. For the price, you saw all the amenities listed before you booked. There were two different coffees to choose from in the cupboard above the coffee pot. My very high reviews speak of what guests love about the cottage and what we have done for the community of Richwood.
This is our second visit to this house in Richwood because we love the close proximity to Mon Forest hiking trails. It is very clean and comfortable. The host was very responsive when an issue arose and check in is super easy.
Spacious home with everything one would need. Newly remodeled with great appliances and large bathroom. I loved the pleasant decorations and the furniture was comfy and perfect for the space.
We were very impressed in the comfy homely little cottage ! It was so clean and nice !!! I give 5 stars and would highly recommend !!!
Thank you,
Hogsetts
We have nothing but great things things to say about our stay. Your cottage was one of the best places we have stayed in our state. Beautifully furnished with everything you need for a comfortable vacation. Located in great area for exploring our favorite area of our state. I would highly recommend the property to others. We look forward to come back at our next opportunity. Thank you so much.
The pictures online do not do the house justice. Additionally, it was the cleanest rental that I have ever stayed in and the whole house has been renovated to like-new! Very cozy! It had everything that we needed for our stay. The area is great for fishing and hiking. The bonus was the friendly neighborhood dog that came to visit us daily. I would definitely recommend renting this house for those who love the outdoors, and who want amenities, but do not want to go camping.

Yes, the evening you came in a tree went down making all of Richwood out of power. I let you know the next morning that power was restored and you came back for your 2 additional nights. Glad it all worked out in the end.
This cute cottage was a perfect blend of old and new. The owners renovated an older home freshening it up with modern amenities without losing the charm of the vintage feel of the home. This was our first trip to WV and having this place to come back to after our adventures during the day was such a blessing. The hostess was easy to contact and responded quickly to any questions we had about the property prior to our arrival and since everything was well attended to prior to our arrival there was no need to contact her for anything during our stay. I would highly recommend this property for anyone staying in Richwood, WV. Top notch in my opinion!
