About this property

Rustic Family Farm House with Pool River, Sauna & More

A Haven for Family that Feels Like Home

This lovely Family farmhouse overlooks the River and is on a 16-acre property, a one-hour drive from Downtown Vancouver, British Columbia.

On the other side of the farmhouse is a working farm (accessible during the season), where we grow Seasonal Herbs, vegetables, and Livestock (chickens and Goats). This location holds significant cultural importance, as it is on the unceded traditional and ancestral lands of the Katzi, Kwantlen, and Matsqui First Nations. For centuries, this historic property has served as a sacred and healing space.

Spanning 16 acres, our garden is nestled within a grove of cedars along the serene banks of the Salmon River, providing a peaceful environment for families. We focus on cultivating a diverse range of natural healing plants, herbs, and flowers, thereby enhancing the beauty of the landscape. Additionally, our property supports a diverse range of local wildlife, including deer, owls, rabbits, coyotes, and eagles.

Adults and Children can learn about the benefits of herbal plants during multi-day family stays at our ranch. They can tour our herbal gardens, discover the different herbs we cultivate, and engage in farming activities. Furthermore, we offer access to 10 acres of untouched natural trails alongside the Salmon River, where individuals can learn about native plant species and the wildlife that inhabits the area.

We encourage home farming initiatives, and Families can purchase plants directly from our farm store.
(Please note from September - to March, only farm House is accessible - River ,Trail and Farm and tour is not accessible and closed to Family Members)

**Please note considering size of the property, we have Outdoor security cameras with 24hours video surveillance providing safety to our guests and property. Farm has 2 Livestock guardian dogs in farm area, please do not interact with any farm animals without a farm agent assistance.

Please note Pool is closed during winter season (October to March), if you need access to pool, please reach out to management 48hours before reservation date to see the possibility of getting access.

Langely Retreat

The house was perfect for a huge party, we had an amazing time at this place. Sky is the property manager and treated us all very well, there is a laundry on site, a huge kitchen, plenty of space to roam and relax. The property has so much potential to be even better with upgrades to the bedrooms and bathrooms. The additional bedrooms outside have a small bug problem but the estate team helped fix thay.

helpful manager, beautiful location, could use updates

Overall we had a very successful trip and had a lot of fun together. This was a working trip and we used the ample space to run presentations and hold group meetings. We also cooked together and ate together for several meals at the house. The house manager was very helpful and communicative. She managed to get us a whiteboard and projector, which was very useful. There were a few hiccups, like a broken toilet that she remedied quickly. The location is really beautiful. The nature in the area is really breathtaking and extremely photogenic. The house itself was outdated and honestly a little run down. My door to the outside didn't close all the way and the lock was broken. The toilet tank didn't fill without jiggling (which was fixed), paint was scuffed, the ovens (two of them) didn't quite work correctly. The foosball table was using a ping-pong ball and some of the little guys were loose. The grill didn't have a propane tank. The main TV was missing a power cord. All of these were minor things and ultimately we had a good trip. The house was also very reasonably priced compared to other options.

We were so excited for our stay, but when we arrived we found the house not at advertised. We were met by warning signs for dangerous dogs and a notification of building code violations from the Township of Langley on the front gate. The front door was "out of commission" per the host, so we entered the house on a side door. The inside was run down and dirty and there was a hole in the wall with exposed electrical wiring. The pool area was not as pictured, with broken tiles and decking supported by cinder blocks. There were also multiple surveillance cameras around the pool area! It was so bad we didn't stay there--we left immediately and contacted the host with our concerns. Unfortunately the host has not responsive to our concerns and hasn't responded to our messages.
