There has been so much work put into this condo, and the updates continue. Pillow top mattress in the MASTER BEDROOM is super comfortable after a long day at the beach. From the private patio which is open to both the living room and the dining room/kitchen you can keep an eye on the activities around the pool and the beach. The LARGE windows give the Florida sun ample room to enter this open layout. There is no choice but to be stunned when you get to experience the sunrises and sunsets of our Gulf Coast first hand from a place you can call home. Sit on the BISTRO HEIGHT furniture on your private balcony and sip your coffee every morning and enjoy some PEACE and RESTFULNESS. This is the best way to soothe the soul. The direct view of the beach and boardwalk from 4006 allows you to see the amount of traffic that's coming and going and how active the beach is! Notice the BEACH CHAIRS- you get one free setup with your rental so look forward to having those two chairs and umbrella set up for you on the beach in the mornings. LESS TO LUG THROUGH THE SAND! Plus this hot Florida sun will make you sweat the umbrella that comes with the beach service truly is going to be an asset!

Islander Beach Resorts have access to one of Okaloosa Island's largest gulf-side pools, a shuffleboard court, and a barbeque grill area. A quick stroll across the boardwalk puts you right on the beach! All guests have Free High-Speed Internet access in their unit, as well as wireless Internet access in our lobby.
Islander Beach Resort has a two vehicle limit.
The pool is heated the week of Thanksgiving and beginning the week of Christmas until March 31st.

Last minute 4th of July getaway

The unit was as advertised. We chose Ft. Walton Beach specifically to avoid the crowds you find at Destin during the 4th of July holiday. We were completely comfortable and enjoyed the beautiful beach just moments away from the condo. It was a nice surprise to get free umbrella and beach chairs for each day of our stay!

Pretty updates, but not everything was functional

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The updates to the condo were gorgeous and the kitchen design was genius. The guest bed was terrible, we ended up having to go buy a pillow top mattress pad to make it bearable to sleep on & it was wobbly. Then, one night the bed completely broke when getting up to go to the restroom. The couple staying in the room is about to have a baby so she went sleep on the floor at 8 months pregnant since the sofa is meant for looks and not to actually be sat on since it’s so uncomfortable, not wide enough to sleep on, and there’s also no pull out bed. Brooks and Shorey came to our rescue and replaced the bed frame quickly but I hope the owners get an actual bed. Atleast 3 of the electrical outlets did not work but it was the broken outside one that was the most inconvenient.

A few things about the room, there was not enough comfortable furniture, the kitchen table and chairs are un sturdy and the chairs feel like they will fall apart when sat on.

Loved the view

We loved the view for sure !!! The space was nice and bathrooms roomy and plenty of towels. We could have used extra pillow cases for the other pillows as we like to use two each. We decided not to rent a car and just used Uber and Lyft, which ended up saving us a couple hundred $, as the rentals were so expensive. We would stay here again.

Rooms weren’t as clean, bed sheets on inside out. Elevators didn’t work the last couple of days. We left item(expensive) in room, upon realization we contacted Brooks and Shorey and was unable to be put in contact with cleaning crew or anyone to help retrieve the item.
