Fun
Was disappointed no p
ots and pans to cook with, outside tables should be cleaned off before guest arrive.
The pots and pans are very old, not good to cook with, the water is well water so it smells like rotten eggs extremely terrible. And there is no washer and dryer to use, so extended stays may stink to not do laundry, property was beautiful, clean, very well took care of. Very quiet and peaceful, neighbors are not close. Would definitely book a weekend getaway again

Lovely Cabin in a Secluded Location
This is our second time using Buckeye cabins for staying in Hocking Hills. We really enjoyed this cabin, it had all the amenities that we needed. It was out in the middle of nowhere but still just about 10 minutes from town. It was perfect for us. The only complaint we have is the water there. The water smells like sulfur, terribly, I am not sure if anything could be added to the water treatment system to reduce the sulfur. Nonetheless, it’s still a beautiful cabin. We will definitely return.
The cabin was so nice and the fire pit out back was super relaxing also. We were a little disappointed that there was no lights outside really. We could not see very well when we were on the decks. Also the pots and pans were a bit rough and no big bowels to use. But overall the stay was nice

Hocking Hills vacation
Great view from both decks, nice large hot tub, beautiful log home. But could have used more towels and adress number was hidden by another sign on street at bottom of driveway..
Nice little cabin, the water has a very strong sulfur smell. There are minimal cleaning supplies and supplies in kitchen to cook with. Host was very easy to connect with. You do share a driveway with another cabin so there is traffic you hear.

Very nice other than the water and the steep hill.
We loved the location, fire pit, hot tub, and layout of the cabin! Unfortunately the water smelled like sulfur so strongly we could barely even shower. Also the drive up the hill was so rutted and rocky two of our cars got stuck. Everything else was nice though!
Very nice property! Loved the cabin. The only issue was the drive up. Its a very steep gravel hill and unfortunately my and another friends car both got stuck in a rut, luckily we got them out after reversing and sliding down the hill a bit, which was a little scary. Other than that everything was great!

Hi Isabel, the hill in Hocking Hills can be quite tricky which is why we always recommend 4-wheel drive in our listings.
We had a good relaxing time. Just couple of issues- basement bedroom had a musty smell and the carpet was wet, so we just stayed upstairs. Hot tub probably needs replaced. Lights didn’t work, and the layout is odd. Thanks!

Great location to essential areas. Very minor improvements needed, would highly recommend.
Location to key hikes was great, 15ish minutes to all popular trails such as cedar falls, gorge trail, ash cave, old man's, devils tub, etc. Kroger not far down the road maybe 15min. You're away from everything, yet close to everything. Only things that would hold me back from a solid 5* would be: TV upstairs needs replaced, hot tub light out, HT cover needs replaced, no solid instructions for either fireplace so it makes you search, grill needs upkept. Would return in a heartbeat though! 4.75/5

Beautiful place, but have some recommendations
We had to buy batteries to replace in the remotes. The living room TV has issues, and I would recommend that you put a rug on the inside of the door coming from the hot tub. I fell there, and my mom also almost fell in the same spot the smell of water was really bad. I’m not sure how to fix that but if there is a way to soften that smell, it would be great . It is a beautiful cabin and we really enjoyed our time there

We were very pleased with out stay just very disappointed we could not use the hot tub.
The cabin is exactly as advertised. It's very remote and we enjoyed our time there, especially the pool table and the camp fires. The hot tub was not heated up and when we got there it was at 86 and it heated up to 94 by the time we left, thus we did not get to use it. We were really disappointed because it was one of the features which sold us on the cabin. We were looking for a hot tub, not a small pool. I know one of the ladies was really counting on it and she was very disappointed.

Corners were cut making it feel less comfortable.
When booking the cabin we liked that there was a pool table and enough space for our 3 boys.
The water had a strong odor when it ran. After running the dishwasher it smelt like sulfur/sewage. There were small changes that could have made the stay more comfortable. Spend the few extra dollars on better pillows, better quality towels, have a dish towel to use.
Something to be aware of is the stairs are open so you can hear everything from all levels of the home.

It wasn't what I thought it would be like.
There wasn't a lot about the stay that was very nice. The place was very unclean the floors were sticky in some areas the dishes were most dirty. There were insects in the cabin including a roach. The place was supposed to be a non smoking cabin but there were cigarettes buds in buckets scattered around on deck and porch and even more on the ground around the cabin. The showers didn't seem to be very cleaned either.

The pool table was great !
We stayed here for three nights. When we first got in reached out ti the number provided to let them know some things we found wrong and never heard back. The window in the first floor is broken so there is no way to lock it. The water smells like sulfur. The hand soaps in the bathroom were filled halfway with the sulfur water (I guess to save them
Money) the hosts never checked in to make sure everything was running smoothly. There is no washer and dryer .

Beautiful views with poor upkeep
The roads were a little scary driving in. The "driveway" WOW ...it really should be posted on the listing somewhere letting people know to make sure their driving a 4x4. Beware you sharp left to the cabin as well. Cabin is beautiful just needs better upkeep. Maybe some more deep cleaning is needed. The hot tub felt nice but definitely needs replaced. Only a few jets worked on it. Wood missing and broken around it. The hot tub cover was covered in mildew. Well water smell is a bit to much sometimes but not to bad. There was a bad water leak coming from the wall in the basement bedroom. Also living room fireplace doesnt work. Other then those things we had a great time!
Upon arrival both propane tanks were empty. We notified management at 3:30pm and didn't receive propane until 8pm. The smell of the hot water was terrible. We notified management, who checked the hot water heater. The gentlemen said he would return the following day to "flush" the tank, he never came back. This house is listed to host 8 but there is not enough dishes or cookware to accommodate. For families who prefer to cook a meal, there is one pan, that's it. We had to purchase cookware and dishes during our stay. Our family had to clean the house due to mouse droppings throughout the entire home. The house was NOT cleaned and prepared for our stay even though we booked it 4 months in advance. The hot tub only works when it wants too. We were very disappointed in this cabin. Upon speaking with management about our concerns and extra costs, nothing was done to compensate the extra expenses of cleaning products and cookware our family experienced. Management simply stopped responding to our messages.
