FIRST thing was no electricity on in the house when we arrived. We immediately called host who did not know why electric was off. We were able to open outside breaker box & turn it on. The place was large & old. We did not see any bugs while there, ac & heat was good. However house was right on Hwy 59, & the traffic noise was LOUD. We had brought a box fan & it did cut down on the noise. It was pet-friendly for our dog. NOW although the house was basically clean, it needs a good deep cleaning, painting, etc. Its just an old house thats probably been neglected. We were comfortable with all the room & it had two baths, but the dryer did not get hot. We were very close to downtown Jefferson.
Was a great stay, you can tell the host put a lot of love and effort into their home. Super spacious rooms and fun games to playThe red fence is perfect to keep pets and family away from the highway. It does not go all the way around but there are smaller fences on the sides of the property
Difficult to get gate "unlocked",Bed was very cozy!, nice main bathroom, second bathroom not so great or warm; steep steps to get to.Very little comfortable seating for relaxing, one couch. Worst part was the traffic noise of semi trucks all night long.
The house is absolutely adorable! Very spacious- very furnished- COMFORTABLE BEDS! Everything was easy, smooth, and relaxing. Shopping is close- house is easy to find- and the host is so polite and so accommodating. We definitely would stay again at this home! Highly recommend staying here! Zero complaints about this property
It was very close to town and easy to find. It has a wonderful little porch with a rocking chair and porch swing. It had cute decor and an adorable woodstove. There was a bit of road noise because it is so close to the highway. The closets and basement/laundry room had a bad smell. The main bathroom doorknob didn't work very well and there was a broken window when we arrived. The beds were comfortable but noisy, it sounded like there was plastic under the sheets. There were some dead bugs and trash (tampon applicators) and almost all the dishes in the cabinet needed to be cleaned before using. There was plenty of counter space for everything. The appliances were nice. The couches weren't very comfortable and not enough for the number of people that can stay. The internet was very slow and made watching TV difficult and frustrating. We saw several deer multiple times and the trees were beautiful.

Overall the house has everything you need to help make you feel comfortable. I knew that this location allowed people with dogs to stay here but what I was not expecting was for one of the beds to be filled with dog hair and fleas. I had to remove all the bedding off of the bed and took it to the washer. I myself have traveled with my dogs in the past and have never let my dogs on anyone elses furniture. I wish the tenet had gone and inspected the beds and sofa to make sure they were clean for the next people to stay. Another thing that made me feel uncomfortable was that i was traveling with my kids and the front door does not lock from the inside. It has an automatic lock that will keep anyone out from coming in but the lock from the inside is installed incorrectly and does not keep kids from opening the front door. I had to put the piano bench in front of the door to make sure if my kids for any reason wanted to open it I could hear it. This was a bit scary as a mom and the fact that this location states it is kid friendly was not reasuring to me. This is a beautiful home and spacious. I hope that this will help others. If you are looking for a pet friendly home this is a gread space to stay in. If you are traveling with kids, not so much.

This place was close to Linden and they accepted dogs. This place should not be reserved again until it is cleaned. There were dirty clothes in the closet, no wash cloths, and it smelled like mold. The yard was unkept. The back patio was so filthy. I can tell someone is trying to fix it up. I wouldn’t waste my time with a sauna and inflatable hot tub that was bought. It needs to be fumigated and cleaned.
