As snow begins to blanket the hillside and Porter’s Lake turns into a peaceful winter scene, Sunrise Vista becomes the perfect cold-weather retreat. Perched high above the water, this home offers magical views of snow-covered pines, shimmering ice, and the soft glow of winter sunsets that reflect across the lake.

Inside, warmth and comfort take center stage. Our brand-new workout room is now available, giving guests a dedicated space to stay active during their stay — complete with free weights, a cable machine, stationary bike, yoga mats, a smart TV, and more.

The lower-level speakeasy-style game room is the heart of winter fun, offering cozy evenings around the electric fireplace along with pool, shuffleboard, arcade games, a hidden bar area, and plenty of room for the whole group. The bright, heated sunroom captures beautiful winter light, making it the perfect place to enjoy a slow morning coffee or curl up with a book while watching the snow fall.

Outdoors, the steaming hot tub is a guest favorite during winter — relax under twinkling bistro lights as warm water and cool air create the perfect contrast. We had an amazing stay with two families and our dogs in this thoughtfully designed, activity-filled lake house that perfectly balanced fun family time and relaxing adult moments—highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back.

We stayed here with two families plus our dogs, and the house could not have been more perfect. It was spacious, comfortable, and incredibly thoughtful in every detail. The kids were obsessed with the hot cocoa bar, the adults loved the adorable coffee bar, and everyone was all-in on the waffle bar. We had such great family time—playing games in the basement, hanging out together—but there was also plenty of room for the kids to entertain themselves while the adults enjoyed quiet mornings on the porch with coffee, looking out at the lake. It was truly the best of both worlds. We had an amazing time and will absolutely be back. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic time at sunrise vista. Check-in was super easy and the place was even better than advertised. View in the mornings was amazing and access to the lake was great with all the amenities available and used. Kayaking, paddle boarding, boats. The entertainment room kept us busy in the evenings and we played games and watched movies every night. 10 out of 10!

A Sigh of Relief

As soon as your exit your vehicle you've entered a new world. A world that feels still and wraps you in a quiet, warm hug. The space is absolutely beautiful and more than I expected. There's so much attention to detail to create a home away from home feel. From lounging in the sunroom, having breakfast overlooking the lake, to hanging in the basement in front of the fireplace , you simply won't want to leave. Book this place fast!

Our family had a great experience staying at the Sunrise Vista house. The house was great and outfitted with everything you need for a truly amazing lake house experience. Highly recommend staying here if your looking to relax and unwind at a beautiful lake house setting. Host was great to work with. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Great Lakefront Property

We really enjoyed our stay at Sunrise Vista! Communication and check in/out were great. The property is remote and has direct access to the lake. We used the paddle boards and kayaks daily. We also took advantage of the pontoon rental and had fun swimming in the middle of the lake. A couple afternoons we had rain, so the adults and kids had a great time with the basement games (pool, ping pong, shuffle board, etc). Every night we ended with a bonfire! Thanks Eric and Becky for a great week!

Amazing Lake House!!

A very well maintained, clean, great location house. The owner has thought of everything you could possibly need/want for your vacation. The game room was awesome for a couple of bad weather days we had.

Awesome Place!

Not many places have amazing pictures that don’t come close to doing it justice. This place was amazing for my family and a friend’s family. If you want a place to relax and unwind, this is it. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to enjoy the lake life.

Spring break

Beautiful location! Super friendly and helpful hosts. Very responsive even came out to fix the hot tub for us! Loved the house and all the games and activities. Really loved the sitting area out by the fire. Only tiny negative is the basement floor must not be level (just how old houses are) cause rhe pool table isn't level. A tiny thing when you have all the other pluses!!! Would definitely stay here again! We loved that they had an old school Nintendo game for us to play!!! So much fun!

Porter Lake Retreat

We had a wonderful stay at Sunrise Vista on Porter’s Lake! The property was amazing big and everything inside was well thought out and organized. We enjoyed swimming, boating, kayaking, and fishing off the dock! We loved hanging outside around the bonfire pit and taking in as much fresh air as we could. The cottage is spacious, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed playing games in the basement on some rainy evening. Overall we had a great family vacation!

Beautiful home and property

We just stayed for 5 days with our 4 kids 8 and under and had a wonderful time even with some hit or miss weather. The home and property has literally every amenity you could need. Lots of baby stuff and dog items which was super helpful and eliminated the need to pack everything. I like to cook and the kitchen was well stocked and they even had a spice rack which was wonderful. We had some rain and we were able to play board games with the kids, used the stand up paddle boards and the paddle boat. Caught quite a few bass while we were there and the kids enjoyed catching and releasing turtles lol. The home is beautiful and the owners were so thoughtful. Definitely 5 stars

Super Relaxing, Beautiful, & Fun!

Polling our family of six, ages 21 through 65, here are our experiences at Sunrise Vista:The setting is peaceful, beautiful, and private. The house is clean with no cobwebs or odors, and the house rules are sensible, allowing for relaxation.There's fun for all ages in the well-appointed game room with billiards, ping pong, air hockey, and board games, perfect for family bonding. We loved the “Flapper Girl” theme!The no-wake lake is clear and calm, ideal for paddle boarding and kayaking. Our adult kids enjoyed swimming from the pontoon. There’s abundant wildlife, including turtles, loons, and eagles. Birdwatchers will appreciate the setting, bird feeders, and abundance of species - I did!The fire pit provided memorable evenings with plenty of wood supplied by the hosts. The hot tub and lovely yard enhance outdoor enjoyment.The beds are comfortable. The bunk room has four queen beds, perfect for both adults (plenty of headroom) and kids. The kitchen is well-stocked with essentials. We really appreciated the provided toiletries and beach towels to minimize packing.Overall, it was one of our most relaxing stays. Thanks to Becky and Eric for their thoughtful hospitality and quick communication!

Perfect start to summer!

We just left & all I can say is WOW! We just spent the week & had the most incredible time! This house is not only set up for fun outside, but has lots of things to do in case there is a rainy/chilly inside day. Our kids loved the basement so much! We had lots of good weather & soaked up the sun in the kayaks, the pontoon, the paddle boards, the hot tub & the peddle boat! Lots of amazing fishing, too! The house is set up for everything - lots of extra blankets, fully stocked kitchen, which was great considering we cooked every meal at the house, extra toiletries in case we forgot something, beach towels, etc! They really didn’t miss anything! PLUS, it’s adorable! Thank you for creating such an amazing space for people to enjoy, we can’t wait to come back!!

Peaceful getaway!

This location was perfect for our family get together. I love that there were no neighbors very close by and that I didn’t have to worry about my adult children making too much noise. There’s not a single thing that I felt we could’ve used or anyway they could make the experience any better than they did. Becky and Eric Had so many little extras that just added to the comfort of the weekend. We enjoyed the pontoon boat on the no wake lake. I think we were the only boat on the lake, it was beautiful. There were so many extra games that entertained every person of ever age. The kitchen was appropriately stocked. And big enough to feed a crowd. Thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise with our family.
