Would stay again!

We had a lovely stay at Fran’s Cottage! Extremely clean and inviting. A lot of thought has gone into this rental between little snacks, drinks, information about Fran herself, and even the local delivery menus! Highly recommend staying and we would stay again at Fran’s cottage 😀

Comfort and Community

We enjoyed our week in Ottumwa. The home was everything it advertised and more. There were all the comforts of home plus those added touches that make you feel like family. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood and especially liked Shiki carry out. The hosts were lovely.

Absolutely Charming

We traveled to Iowa for the Tulip Festival in Pella. This house is absolutely charming! It's an older home with so much character. The house is filled with antiques and paintings that belonged to the family. The house has absolutely everything you need... they thought of everything! There were even snacks/candy in many of the rooms and drinks in the fridge. It was also immaculately clean. It was the perfect size and needs for myself, my daughter, and my mom. The home is located on a quiet , safe street that is close to many restaurants and stores. The only negative thing was that the sink makes a gurgling sound quite often. It was not bothersome...we got used to it and affectionately named it "gargoyle". It is definitely not a reason not to stay here. I would recommend this house to anyone and would stay here again and again.
