Modern Lagoon View Steps from Beach Pool & Golf

Relax on the lagoon in this modern, high end cottage. This waterfront with two bedrooms with king size beds and two baths is the perfect getaway for families and couples. Fully stocked and only a five minute walk from the beach, this property is a must see!

This cottage can comfortably accommodate 4 guests. The master bedroom features a king size bed with direct access to one deck overlooking the lagoon. The second bedroom also has a king size bed.

This cottage features top of line appliances and furniture. The kitchen is complete with stainless steel, profile GE appliances, and full service for 8. The bathrooms are brightly tiled with a rainfall shower-head in MB.

Outside of the cottage, enjoy the lagoon views from either of the two private decks. The beach is only a five minute walk from the cottage, and the community pool is even closer. Tennis courts are available for use for a fee. Cougar Point Golf Course is located across the street. It provides a beautiful landscape for interested golfers or a place to enjoy a cocktail or coffee at the clubhouse overlooking the 18th hole.

With inexpensive direct flights from New York, Chicago, and Houston, and only 30 minutes from Charleston, this is a perfect location for long weekends any time of year. We had a great stay in this comfy home. The sofas and beds were very comfortable. Everything was exceptionally clean. The host was very agreeable and accommodating. The sunroom was a real plus, since we had several rainy days. We were able to sit out there and view the lagoon with its wildlife. We hope to return!

Everything looked great upon arrival then we noticed mold n mildew on the skylights the windows in back could use a good cleaning also the couch needs to be cleaned. Beautiful quiet place just needs a good deep cleaning the crevices need cleaned in the bathroom.

Great Stay at Kiawah Isalnd

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, clean. And updated cottage. We stayed with another couple- the cottage was the perfect place to stay! Highly recommend! Beach walks, dolphins, quiet, and close to Charleston!

Great Retreat Yet Close to Charleston Attractions

Kiawah Island is a beautiful island with top notch golf resorts and great beaches. We loved the porch overlooking the lagoons. The property was as described & we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much.

Beautiful Property

Very nice property. Beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well out fitted. We ate in most evenings and ran out of the two dishwasher pods provided quickly. When we called and asked for a few more we were directed to go ahead and purchase them ourselves, so bring extra with you! Over all a very nice experience, close to tennis and the beach.

Great stay for my family that was close to beach. Sun room was nice place to read a book and relax. Clean, well stocked kitchen. Easy checking and out. Recommend for small family or couples.

Great location/Great accommodations.

Wonderful place to stay while attending a tennis tournament in Kiawah. The property mananger/owner was very accommodating and attentive when needed. The unit was comfortable, clean and the sunroom's view of the lagoon made the unit exceptional. Would stay again if we were to go back to Kiawah. Be sure to rent bikes and ride all over the island and especially on the beach!!!

Great West Beach Location

We have traveled to Kiawah Island several times and this is, by far, one of the nicest rentals we’ve had. The layout of the two bedroom unit allowed four adults to move about freely and comfortably all week. The sun porch was an added bonus and was by far our favorite spot! We loved watching the wildlife. I really liked the close proximity to Freshfields and the beach was just a short bike ride away. Additionally, our communication with the owner was prompt and helpful. We will definitely book again!

Nice size villa, large kitchen, awesome sunroom, & comfy beds…. But for our particular week-the villa was very dirty. This place needs a deep clean. In my experience, owner was condescending and rude.

Fabulous Cottage with an amazing view

We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage over the Christmas and New Years Holidays. Visiting family on Kiawah, but wanted our own place instead of staying with them. Ultra clean, VERY well equipped (a grill!) and nothing that we said “wouldn’t it be great if they had thought of this?” Had a Christmas Day gathering with about 10 friends and the kitchen bar was the gathering spot. Perfectly laid out and easy to both live in, and entertain. Overall, quiet and peaceful. We already plan to return for Christmas next year!

Rescued by great owners response!

Upon arrival we found the living area tv was not working. After letting the owners know they ordered an even larger flat screen tv from the local Walmart for us to use. This was awesome considering it was a guys weekend with plans of watching a lot of college football. The owners really rescued our weekend by stepping up and doing the right thing. Beautiful cottage, great fishing and a wonderful weekend getaway! We will be back!

Peaceful Retreat

The cottage is very comfortable, perfect for two couples, with king beds in each bedroom. We had everything we needed for our stay. The sunroom, overlooking the lagoon, was an added bonus. The area, in West Beach, was close to Freshfields Village, where you will find a grocery store, several restaurants, and shopping. The beach is a short walk from the cottage. We rented bikes for a week and the bike paths on the island are awesome. Riding on the beach was extra special. The Charleston historic district is about a 50 minute drive from the cottage. Always a great time exploring this beautiful city. Magnolia Plantation is worth a visit. Be sure to stop and see the Angel Oak Tree on Johns Island. A very comfortable and enjoyable place!

Good Location and Some Surprises

Good proximity to Kiawah beaches - the property is not 'modern' and the ceiling is in disrepair/unpainted in a section of living room (this should have been disclosed IMO), old washer and dryer. old cooktop. Mismatched furniture. Bed linens need replacing. Lagoon view obstructed by overgrow shrubs. Inside decor is set back in the 1980s. However, great communication, clean place, and solid location.

Wonderful week

Had a great stay. Accommodation perfect. All you could need. Location on resort was a perfect choice. Beach 5 min walk and is out of this world. You can cycle on beach for miles. We sat for hours watching wildlife in pond. We saw aligators in the pond and on the cougar golf course. The cougar golf course par and grill was a 2 mins walk away. We walked to the shop at security gate (20 mins) one evening and saw aligators on the way. We surfed at Folly beach with Isla's surf school. We had a hire car which allowed us to see about. Difficult to use uber in Kiawah. We were at a family wedding at Mingo point which is beautiful. Freshfields easy to access for supermarket, shop and restaurants by car although we did see people cycle this and walk this on cycle path. Loved our stay and if returning would choose this accommodation. A little gem. True to name, we had fun watching all the flying squirrels at our window.

Good week at Kiawah Island

We booked the property at 1212 Flying Squirrel Court for a conference/family vacation at Kiawah Island for mid June 2023. The property is well appointed with appliances, comfortable furniture, including the beds, and cookware and glassware. The location was incredibly convenient on the West Beach end of Kiawah. The conference center was only 500 yards from the property. There was easy access to the beach and the other amenities available at Kiawah. We attended the Monday night Mingo Point shr The conference center was only 500 yards from the property. There was easy access to the beach and the other amenities available at Kiawah. We attended the Monday night Mingo Point shrimp boil which was less than five minutes from our location. In addition, as is mentioned in the description, it is a literal one minute walk to the first tee at Cougar Point golf course, which, for our group, was a tremendous convenience. The only issue was that the unit is part of a duplex. The adjoining unit was being demolished and rehabbed during our stay. The property owner certainly has no responsibility for the construction going on at the unit beside his property however, if he did not know, it was incumbent upon him to know this information and relay it to us. We should have had the opportunity to make changes without financial penalty as this construction was definitely unexpected and was, truly, the only blemish on an otherwise good week. We would definitely stay here again.

Wicked Awesome Property on Kiawah!

The owners were very responsive and were great communicators! The property is modern and in a perfect location on the island - steps from the beach and Cougar Point. There is a sun room overlooking a lagoon and we saw lots of flying fish and 2 alligators! Needless to say we will be staying at this property again!

I currently live in New York City (when I'm not lucky enough to be in Kiawah!) and work in the natural gas business. I love scuba diving, fishing, cooking, and bumming around on the beach. Fortunately, I can do all of those things here!

My family has been vacationing on Kiawah Island for about 25 years. We loved it so much that we wanted a place to call our own. Of all the places we've been, no other soothes the body and soul like Kiawah. With quiet, award winning beaches, scenic bike paths, and beautiful golf courses, Kiawah is the perfect place to unwind.

What makes this property unique

This property and location have been designed for families or couples to relax. If you are looking for big box retail, chain restaurants, and loud bars across the street, this is not the place for you. If you want to spend your afternoons on the beach, ride your bikes over miles of quiet trails, and watch dolphins feeding at the shore, this is definitely the place for you.
