An Oasis in the Woods

Relax to the sound of rustling leaves, songbirds and owls at this beautiful cottage nestled in the woods between Egg Harbor and Sturgeon Bay. Located close to all that makes Door County such a special place to visit, the home offers space for up to 8 guests, indoor and al fresco dining, and a fire pit to enjoy the outdoors under the stars. Starlink satellite internet will keep you connected to the outside world, if and when you want to be.

The space
Welcome to our cottage! Located an hour from Green Bay, it's the perfect home base for wherever your Door County adventures take you. Relax and enjoy over 2,000 sq. ft. of indoor space and over 1.6 acres of landscaped and wooded space outside.

The great room features a beautiful floor-to-ceiling wood burning fireplace, cozy seating area flooded with natural light, a wall of windows overlooking the woods, and reclaimed hardwood floors. Sip some coffee, curl up with a book from our library, watch your favorite tv shows on the Roku TV, and relax to the sounds of the great outdoors—or fill the room with streamed music on four wall-mounted Bose speakers.

The space includes a dining area and well-equipped kitchen with an island and two bar stools. Step outside and enjoy the spacious deck with a patio table, chairs, and Weber Baby Q gas grill. A comfortable master bedroom with a king memory foam mattress and en suite full bathroom with tub and shower completes the main floor.

The lower level offers a variety of entertainment options—from board games at the pub table, to books for kids and adults, to movies on a 65” smart TV with Klipsch surround sound. Use the Roku remote to access your YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, and other streaming apps or choose from a wide selection of DVD/BluRay movies.

Built into the limestone of the Niagara Escarpment, the lower level of the cottage is wonderfully cool on hot summer days. When you need to warm up, the family room and all three bedrooms come equipped with infrared wall heaters, comforters and blankets. Sleeping accommodations include a second king bedroom, a queen bedroom and a bedroom with two twin XL beds, all with memory foam mattresses. A second full bathroom with walk-in shower and a laundry room with washer and dryer are also found in the lower level.

Venture outside to scout birds and other wildlife, hunt for wild raspberries, blackberries and gooseberries, enjoy a fire in the fire pit, or stargaze from the deck.

We think you'll find our cottage has everything you need to enjoy Door County like you live here!

Guest access
Guests have the whole cottage to themselves. The only restricted areas are a locked storage closet under the stairs in the lower level and the garage (no parking).

Other things to note
* Parents of young children should be aware that three of the four bedrooms are located in the lower level of the home. There is no door or baby gates at either end of the hardwood staircase (15 steps).

* No parties.

* No additional guests (maximum 8), and no unregistered guests.

* No smoking/vaping/illegal drugs.

* No pets allowed.

Great Family Location in Southern Door County

Great location for a group needing 4x bedrooms. Plenty of room and a good layout. Beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. Location was very quiet and located just off the main road so it's easy to get anywhere in the county. We would stay here again.

Wonderful lodging for our vacay

My sister and I selected Oasis in the Woods for our family vacation. We were looking for a place that could accommodate three couples and possibly one or two if our college-aged sons. While the boys couldn’t join us, we parents & grandparents enjoyed the cottage and found it suited our needs perfectly. The kitchen had everything we needed, as did the rest of the house. There were plenty of towels, pillows, and more. The deck was a comfortable spot for sunny late afternoons. It was truly an excellent home and our first choice for a future return visit.

Amazing!

My friends and I had an amazing stay over the weekend! The house is in a peaceful wooded setting away from the crowds of Egg Harbor, yet is just a short drive to the shops and restaurants. The house is spacious, well decorated, fully stocked and incredibly clean! The owner, Beth, was very friendly and prompt in answering all of our questions. She went out of her way to make my 60th birthday celebration a memorable one! We will definitely stay here again! 💕

Sibling Trip

We haven't been had a trip since before COVID and we picked Door County again as there were still places we hadn't been yet. The house/cottage we stayed at fit our needs very well and was a GREAT place for the 5 of us. We are 4 sisters and 1 brother traveling together so the amount of bedrooms and bathrooms we need are not an easy find! Things worked out perfectly. We do cook at least one evening meal and always eat breakfast where we stay so that is one thing we always look for. Communication with our host was amazing.
