House was exactly as stated. Andy was great at communicating and let us know he was available if we had any issues. Location was great and in the middle of everything we wanted to see. Would definitely stay here again!
My husband and I stayed at this cottage for a couple days for a family funeral. It was perfect for the two of us and was so well thought out and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

Glad you loved it, Allison. And I truly hope you and your family were able to have some meaningful time together despite the sad circumstances.
Super cute and very well stocked kitchen with all plates and utensils we would need. Was just a short walk from the beach! We only had a small issue getting into the property but the Host was super helpful as well as the VRBO representative we talked to. We love Galveston and loved the location of this property!

Disliked: Listing accuracy
Overall, this property has some positives, but there were a few notable drawbacks that impacted the experience. The booking guide did indicate where parking was—on the right-side entrance in front of the unit. However, unless you have a 4x4 vehicle, there was no practical way to access the drive. I attempted to back in and hit the 14" curb. Additionally, other tenants had parked on the street and taken up most of the available space, which made parking even more challenging. The entry porch was more worn than pictured. I had looked forward to enjoying some time outside with afternoon tea and a book, but ultimately found the space unappealing and a bit cramped.Inside, the living room and kitchen were as shown—very cute and comfortable—and the bed was also quite comfortable. That said, I specifically booked the home for the “cowboy pool,” and this was a major disappointment. The actual pool felt more like a cow trough with a single jet, no ledge for setting a drink, and a neighbor’s window directly above, which limited any sense of privacy. If you’re looking to get a feel for what close-quarters living in Galveston is like—zero lot lines, views into neighboring backyards, and minimal private outdoor space—this property does offer that perspective. Just be aware of the trade-offs depending on what kind of experience you’re hoping for.

Charlene, as a host who values the guest experience more than anything else, I am hurt by your 1-star review. Regarding parking, the check-in details clearly state that the driveway is slightly steep, with an option to park on the street. You did that and you even sent me a photo. 95% of guests park in the driveway, so it’s inaccurate to say you need a 4x4. Your vehicle is just lower to the ground.
Second, I invite you to read the listing description before booking a home. You complained about the Cowboy Pool, but in the listing it clearly states: “This is not a traditional hot tub with powerful jets. It does have jets that circulate the water, but this is more of a soaking pool.”
Lastly, you didn’t mention a single complaint to me during your stay, even though I asked you to contact me if you experienced any issues. Out of courtesy to your hosts in the future, I ask that you please address your concerns when they occur and don’t wait to first note them in a review.
It was short but very accommodating and relaxing. Property manager was very understanding of our situation. Thank you so much. We really appreciate it.
