Our three-night stay was as promised with comfortable relaxing spaces for our family and guests. We enjoyed conversations in the living room and dining on the back patio while many family members, including two young grandchildren, enjoyed the hot tub, pool and slide! Our time there included sunsets nearby, rides in the golf cart and a day on Nokomis Beach, just 15 minutes from the home. The home worked out very well for our three generation stay

You are most welcome. It was our pleasure to host you and your family. Thank you for taking the time to review.
Our stay was great! We had a small issue with the golf cart but was taken care of within hours with a follow up the following day. Great communication and house is laid out perfect and the neighborhood is perfect for walking every morning and watching the sunsets.

Thank you so much Kathryn, for anyone viewing this we did end up purchasing a new golf cart and it was delivered same day!
Booked for my best friends Bachelorette, the home itself is exactly as listed. Spacious, extremely comfortable beds, and incredible amenities. The hosts were incredibly responsive, amicable, and had wonderful recommendations for the area. All in all, a wonderful stay made better by wonderful hosts. I would recommend booking this with absolutely no reservations!

Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re thrilled you and your friends had such a wonderful time celebrating the bachelorette weekend. It was a pleasure hosting you all, and we’d love to welcome you back anytime!
The home was spacious, comfortable, and well stocked. The screened in deck above the pool was especially nice— nice dining table and chairs;also comfortable seating over near the bbq grill. Our friends enjoyed the bikes and the availability of the golf cart. 15 minutes drive to lovely Nokomis Beach.

Happy you were able to make the best of it! Hurricane season is an unpredictable time.
This property was awesome! We love the space and room provided. The pool was clean and fun. The only issue we had were the big palmetto roaches everywhere mostly dead ones and alive ones in the kitchen cabinets. But that's Florida I guess. It also had a funny, pee smell and I live in Florida so the roaches do have a stench and Pest Control could help with that issue. Other than that it was an amazing week!

We have quarterly spays and in summer keep up with sprays in-between guests but I suppose the Florida roaches get by once in a while. I believe the smell you tough was pee was a musty smell coming from the disposal in the kitchen. Wee have since replaced it with a new and much bigger disposal. Happy you were still able to enjoy the home. It was a pleasure hosting you!

Disliked: Cleanliness
We had a good time but not without flaws
We had a good time but beware of a few things before booking. First, when entering the property, there is a drop down that is not clearly visible and has no warning signs—both my Aunt and Dad fell within the first ten minutes with my Dad seriously injuring his ankle. Second, the pool was green upon arrival. Third, the stench from the kitchen is unbearable at times. Fourth, during July 4, while grilling, the grill ran out of gas.
There is also no working pool light in the pool, either. While some of these issues are fixable, these types of issues were certainly not what I’d expect to occur considering how much we were paying per night.

Thank you for your feedback Lauren. We have moved the couch to boarded up to the dip, and placed a chair so it is visible of the step down, as well as, not an option to step down at all but in one place to enter the living room area. The pool is clean, we have outside lighting all around the pool area to lite it up at night. Since your stay we have been making improvements to the kitchen area to remove all the musty smell that was coming from the old garbage disposal and sine purchased a new and bigger one.

Liked: Check-in, location
We arrived to a clean interior, but many issues that should have been fixed prior to renting. Broken toilet on the bottom floor, outlets not working, door handles missing to the pool deck, cob webs covering the entire pool deck, and a green pool full of algae. The host requests that you don’t communicate through the app, however their property manager took hours to respond and at first claimed we were lying because she was there the day prior. A handyman and pool company came out on day 2 of our stay, but we couldn’t swim until after 7pm due to chemicals and they fixed “most” of the other issues. When we shared our frustration, the host eventually said our only option was to leave the property and go somewhere else. Which truthfully, was a frustrating response because we were there to celebrate my mom’s 50th birthday. We spent 2 of our 3 days facilitating getting these issues resolved. It just wasn’t ideal. The house itself was great and the stay ended up being fine, but the condition of the property was disappointing. I do also want to point out that there is no drinking water or ice on the property. It’s not a huge deal, but important to know if you’re traveling from out of town! Publix is right down the road but easier when you can plan for it. The listing also shows 2 bikes, there was only 1 & had 2 flat tires & no bike pump. Lots of kids toys & the golf cart was our highlight!Again, not the end of the world but I do think this property was unfortunately overpriced.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re truly glad to hear that you found the home itself beautiful and that your family enjoyed the golf cart and amenities during your stay.
We do want to clarify a few things for future guests reading this. The home was fully inspected the day before your arrival, including the pool and interior, and no issues were present at that time. Once concerns were brought to our attention, we immediately sent both a licensed pool company and a handyman to address everything as quickly as possible. Pool chemicals do require a short wait time for safety, which is standard and outside of anyone’s control, but the pool was restored and usable the same day.
Regarding communication, we are always available through the platform and by phone for urgent matters. At no time was anyone accused of dishonesty — we simply relayed the condition of the property based on our inspection the day prior while working to resolve the concerns.
While we do our best to keep everything in great condition sometimes amenities can be affected by prior guests, weather, or use and can be overlooked. We will always immediately resolve the issue!
As for drinking water and ice, the home is on an island and Florida water is “hard water” so we do recommend getting bottled water and ice for your stay.
We regret that your experience included maintenance disruptions, especially during a special family celebration, but we’re pleased that everything was resolved and that you were ultimately able to enjoy the home. We take all feedback seriously and continually work to keep our properties at the high standard our guests expect.
We had an overall amazing time during our stay, as we always do when visiting Casey Key. The house is huge and spacious, and the pool was wonderful, although less enjoyable at night due to insufficient lighting.
That said, there were a few areas that could use improvement. The floors were quite dusty, making it uncomfortable to walk barefoot. Some amenities, such as one of the bike handles and the golf cart, were not well-maintained. The golf cart occasionally got stuck in reverse and, at one point, wouldn’t switch to forward. Additionally, there was an issue with a condenser unit leaking through a light from the second floor into the first floor, but someone was able to come in and fix it the next day.
Our host was very accessible and kind, which we greatly appreciated. We didn’t bring up these issues during our stay because we were only there for four days, and we didn't feel there was much that could be done in that time frame.
I do recommend this property, but keep these points in mind when booking to determine if it’s worth the price for you.

Daniela thank you for reviewing, we have switched out the golf cart with an electric one that runs smoothly. Bike is fixed, and as you know we fixed the issue with the condenser, sometimes when its running to low there is condensation and it just needs to be adjusted. The pool has lighting all around to illuminate the pool. I'll look into something we can add inside to light the inside. Thank you again for staying with us.
Large, spacious, comfortable, well equipped. Good for large groups. Interior immaculately cleaned. Check in/out easy. Owners promptly responsive. Comfy furniture. Mattresses decent except 2 were too hard. Plenty of good towels, pillows, sheets, no xtra blankets. Kitchen fully equipped, typical rental quality cookware/dishes. Water/ice dispenser not hooked up. Need to purchase all drinking water. Basics like paper towels & dish soap provided. Photos make it look perfect & high end but there is normal wear and tear and quirkiness to be expected in any house. Slightly sunken area in the living room is a tripping hazard, guests should be warned. We knew the pool wouldn't be heated, but it was ice cold. Pool heater is either broken or not used. Pool & slide will be a blast when warm. Screened deck/pool area is beautifully appointed but rodents, etc. come in through open pass way from the crawl space under the house into the pool area, which should be properly blocked and sealed. Instead, they ask guests keep the sliding doors to the deck closed at all times. Bathrooms/showers nice, but upstairs bathtub taps didn't function, no hot water in any sink faucets. Toys but no games or puzzles. All beach supplies provided. Closest usable beach is 10 min car ride, 20 min golf cart ride. Golf cart fun but loud. No Gulf view from the house, short walk/ride to beautiful views. Street is busy & loud at times. Gorgeous multi-million dollar houses around & Key is convenient to shopping/dining.

Thank you Laura for your review. I see that the home had somethings that you were not impressed with, so I just wanted to note a few things here for you and any future guests that plan on staying with us. Since your stay, the entire home has been reevaluated and has hot/cold water throughout, all tubs are working. The hot/cold water was always working, sometimes with many people showering back to back, the water will lose some temp. So it is recommended spacing out your guests showers/baths with this in mind. Additionally the home has brand new blankets, board games, a puzzle, and new sheets, . As for rodents, living on the key its common to have a few. We mainly want the doors kept closed for lizards and palmetto bugs to stay out of the home. We are currently renting the home without a pool heater, however this coming Winter we plan to install one. Apologizes for any busy road interruptions, however, the key is the place to be and with some local tiki bars and restaurants walking distance from the home, there can be people coming and going at busy height hours. All and all, we hope you had a nice visit and come back to see the new improvements next time you're in the area.
My name is Olivia. I live in beautiful Sarasota, Florida, which offers abundant recreational activities and delicious seafood. This vibrant coastal city allows visitors to kayak, paddleboard, fish, boat, golf, play pickleball and tennis year-round. As your host, I aim to provide a comfortable home-away-from-home with everything needed for an enjoyable extended stay. I make myself readily available to answer any questions about the property or area attractions. It is my top priority to quickly accommodate all guest requests with thoughtful hospitality. I love hosting and strive to make each stay efficient and welcoming.
Why they chose this property
This neighborhood is surrounded by water, and nature. I love the birds in the morning, and the sunsets that light up the sky in the evening. We are walking distance from the Casey Key Tiki Bar, great place to catch the sunset or sunrise, and grab a drink. Deep Lagoon Resturant is also a quick few min walk away from the home. Best part is, its Island living... golf carts are how most the community gets around and the beach is only a short distance ride and there you have restaurants, tiki bars and a great ice cream spot all the locals go to, Sweet Melissa's.
What makes this property unique
It's a cozy beach home, stocked with everything you need for a short of extended stay. You'll feel at home the minute you enter. Our living room has a huge couch with extra blankets, great for hosting the whole family for movie time, and of course our patio with ample sitting for the whole family to dine, play in the pool, go down the slide, and even start up the fire pit to make s'mores, or cozy up to with a glass of your favorite beverage are the most favorable perks this home has to offer.
