About this property

In Town Vacation Home - Jim's Adirondack Home

No matter what the season, Old Forge, New York has something for everyone! This home is located on Main Street. Relax on the front porch or cookout in the backyard.

Rent is $550 per weekend and $1500 per week.

The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, pans, etc. The dining room has a large table that can seat 10 comfortably. The living room is warm and inviting. If it is a rainy day, not to worry there are plenty of games and there is wifi and satellite tv. There are three bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has two double beds, bedroom 2 has one double bed and bedroom 3 has one double bed and a set of bunk beds. There are two bathrooms. Upstairs bathroom has a large old fashion tub with shower. The other bathroom is in the basement which is new and features a shower. The basement also has two beds that may be used for overflow guests.

Old Forge has been the Adirondack Mountains destination of choice for generations of visitors looking for everything from excitement, peace and quiet and especially romance. This home is close to everything. Just under a mile to the beach and Water Park. The grocery store is just across the street and if you want to eat out, Keyes, The Old Mill, pizza and chinese food is just a short walk away. Also, there is an ice cream stand and mini golf next door. Kayakers can enter the river just a short distance behind the house. Old Forge is a snowmobilers paradise. Hit the trails right from the house. Skiing is close by at McCauley

Great Place to Stay

Main Street Stay

The house was clean and centrally located. We walked whenever we went to eat, shop, etc.Could not get the upstairs TV to work, which was very frustrating and disappointing.

Comfy Cozy

My daughter, niece, myself and our dogs stayed here for a long weekend and it was so comfortable and cozy. Everything was very clean, appliances worked well and the beds were very comfortable. Roku Tv worked great to watch movies on rainy days and the location was super convenient. I would definitely recommend and can say we would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location

This property is in a great location. You can walk to all of the stores and restaurants with ease. Quaint Adirondack home with plenty of room for a family! We would definitely rent again.

Wonderful Adirondack feel cozy home

We all had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay at the house, it was just right for us, close to everything (ice cream, groceries, miniature golf, and breakfast are right next door), clean and comfy. The front porch was a plus for people watching, Thank you !😁

Convenient location

Just stayed for a couple nights with a family of five, fit comfortably with one extra bed. The second bathroom is in the basement so we all shared the upstairs bathroom. Nice size (seats 8) dining room table. Right next to a nice ice cream shop and mini golf course, both of which we recommend. Thank you Carolyn!

In Town Location

We had a great two night stay at Carolyn’s place in Old Forge. The location is right in town and within walking distance to all that Old Forge has to offer. The house is impeccably clean and well equipped. Definitely recommend!

Lovely house and a lovely location. The house was very clean and very well stocked with towels, Linens and every sort of kitchen Implement you could ever want. The house is located on the Main Road next to an ice cream parlor and mini golf. The front porch is excellent for relaxing and the backyard is spacious enough to have a game of soccer or frisbee! We were able to walk to town. The house was roomy and Light. The bathrooms are up to date with a beautiful claw tub in the upstairs bathroom. Would definitely stay here again.

SUCH a great place to stay--especially with kids!

We had a great time in Old Forge. This property was so conveniently located to everything you'd need... grocery store, gas station, ice cream shop, candy store, restaurants, etc. And only a little over a mile to Water Safari. The place itself was the perfect size. Great for plenty of kids. And a nice little backyard for playing outdoor games. It was clean and well stocked with dishes, towels, linens, etc.

Very nice old style Adirondack camp with Adk decor.

We felt like we were back in the fifties when camp was a camp, not a mansion! Well kept with everything you need. Fire pit in the back yard with deer walking through daily was pretty cool. Within walking distance to village of Old Forge. Clean with two bathrooms and three bedrooms. The landlords were very prompt in responding. The only thing I didn’t care for was the bathroom locations. One upstairs which was very handy and the other in the basement. Our family had a great time!

Weekend getaway

Our trip was absolutely perfect. We were able to easily explore old forge as we could walk to all shops and restaurants. We had a lovely breakfast at Keyes and shopped the Farmers Market. We loved being able to cook and relax in our beautiful little house. Coffee on the front porch was lovely. We were able to hike two mountains with our dog (bald and black bear) both fun hikes and an easy drive. The house is so pretty and comfortable. We cannot wait to go back!!

Amazing!

Our hosts were amazing from our first contact; they quickly answered our questions, as well as reached out prior to our visit to see if we needed anything. They were so kind. The home was beautiful and clean and comfortable and in an ideal location. I cooked meals for my kids and grands, and we enjoyed every minute we spent together. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable ADK experience!

Great Location

This house has beds for 10-12 people. The house is old but nice. The location is great. You can walk most anywhere in town. The bed was comfortable and there is plenty of drawer/closer space. The only drawback to us was having to take your trash to a transfer station. It’s a distance outside town and the hours are 8 am to noon.

My brother Jim and his son purchased this property because they loved the Adirondacks and everything it had to offer in all seasons. He loved having people come to the home to visit and stay. He decorated the house with an eye towards the Adirondack look and to make it homey and comfortable.

Why they chose this property

They loved snowmobiling in the winter. Relaxing, hiking and kayaking in the summer. Jim and Casey like the convenience of the grocery store, restaurants, ice cream and mini golf all within an easy walk.

What makes this property unique

Snowmobile directly from the property. Mini golf and ice cream next door. River practically in backyard. Sitting on the porch and relaxing. Having a fire in the backyard.
