We were a group of 8 in for the game vs. University of Maryland. Perfect location to experience all DC has to offer and also close to UMD campus.House had all the necessary amenities. Check-in/out super easy and Kate checked in throughout to make sure we had everything we needed.
It was a fantastic place, lots of room for our extended family of 10. Excellent location, close to the Metro, though parking was a little bit of a bear....but that's what you get for the location. The house is old with beautiful woodwork and stairs that let everyone know that someone is coming down them! :-) Our host responded very quickly when we let them know about a small issue. My only suggestions would be a new couch, there is one spot where everyone sits and you can tell by the large divet in the cushion, and looking at repairing or replacing the fridge because the ice maker doesn't work so we had to buy a bag of ice
Our family decided to get together for a long weekend to celebrate our mother/grandmother's 70th birthday in D.C. The place was just the right size for 6 adults and 4 kids (though there were a few small futon beds that could have fit a few more smaller beings) and was in a nice neighborhood very near downtown D.C. The metro was about a ten minute walk and fifteen minute ride to all the major downtown D.C. attractions and also very close to the Smithsonian Zoo. The neighborhood also has a couple of close-by shops for coffee and an excellent Italian restaurant. The house itself was very clean and was exactly as expected. We had a few minor issues, but after contacting the hosts we were able to quickly remedy the situation. The hosts were extremely gracious and amenable and communicated expectations for check-in and check-out very clearly.
