Located just 3 miles from downtown Athens, our home is perfect for a quiet, romantic getaway, couples retreat, or fun with a small group of people looking for relaxation, nature, and adventure. The space
Our little bungalow is conveniently located and easily accessible from the 2nd neighborhood entrance off Oglethorpe Ave closest to the loop, giving you fast access to all of Athens!
Your stay will include the following:
*Fully stocked kitchen perfect for cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner
*Cozy front porch with designated smoking area (no smoking in the house)
*Spacious screened-in back porch with gas grill, sitting area, and designated smoking area
*Side-by-side washer and dryer
*Master Bedroom with queen bed and Armoire closet
*Guest Bedroom with full bed and walk-in closet
*2 twin comfy cots with bedding included (located in guest bedroom)
*1 full bathroom (second floor)
*1 half bathroom (first floor)
*Hi-speed internet
*2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom
*1 roll of paper towels
*Breakfast items: coffee and granola bars
*Toiletry items: hairdryers, shampoo/conditioner, body wash
*Youtube Tv: only available during football season. Otherwise, feel free to use our Roku tv to access your own preferred streaming account such as Netflix, Hulu, etc.
Guest access
You (and no one else) will have full access to the house while you’re staying here! This is a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath house. Both bedrooms are located on the second floor and require two small flights of stairs. We also have two twin comfy cots with bedding included, perfect for bringing the kids along! Home away from home

Our 2nd stay in this cozy little spot was just as wonderful as the first! As usual the deer and other beautiful wildlife did not disappoint! Definitely one of our favorite places to stay.

Very quiet spot tucked in a nice neighborhood. Easy to access anything and anywhere around Athens. We stayed here while visiting family. It was a great place to have to ourselves. Home away from home. Beds were so comfy we may buy our own just like the ones there!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Chris was fantastic at checking in on us, and the check-in process was seamless. The house was ideally located! It was near town yet far enough away to avoid heavy traffic when getting around. I would highly recommend!

Great location, lots of amenities

This place is uncluttered, clean, and it had surprise amenities for things you may forget to pack. Very generous with products, laundry items, towels, blankets, breakfast coffees/cookies, toilet paper, etc. And they offer quality paper towels/toilet paper. Super responsive. Lots of local dives- we liked Farm Cart best.

Great property on a wooded lot. Comfortable and clean. When hitting the “Get Directions” button in the VRBO app, it sent us to the wrong house on same street. Chris was responsive when messaged in the app to give the correct location. So you may want to get the actual address from him after booking.

This cute little home away from home was just perfect! There was plenty of space and everything we needed. Upon arrival, we were greeted by deer in the back. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck eating breakfast. While visiting Athens, we enjoyed a farmers market, cool antique shops, a botanical garden, hiking, art museum, and plenty of good eats.

This home was as advertised. Comfortable, well equipped, very close to UGA and downtown Athens. The only real negative is it’s close to the highway so noise can be an issue but it also makes it easy to get around. On UGA Football weekends it’s very expensive but so is everything. The host is very friendly and attentive. He makes it easy on you.

Chris enjoys operating our short-term rental management company (CAS Hospitality Group), day-trading, and working at a local restaurant. Steph is a UGA grad and we are both huge dawg fans!

Why they chose this property

Located in the heart of Athens, you are just a hop, skip, and jump away from all the fun Athens has to offer! Drive or walk 2 miles down the road and grab some breakfast at the Flying Biscuit. Their creamy, dreamy white cheddar cheese grits will make you cheat on any diet! Continue your stroll down Prince Avenue for lunch at Marti's at Midday, a local favorite featuring the best chicken salad sandwich and homemade pita chips you've ever tasted!! (Don't forget to ask for a scoop of their amazing pimento cheese on the side!)
For dinner, we highly recommend Last Resort Grill on Clayton Street just 3 miles from our house (the Praline Chicken and the Roasted Pork Tenderloin are to die for!)
After dinner, stroll around downtown and take in all the nightlife Athens has to offer - there are plenty of local pubs, shopping, and dancing if you're feeling frisky ;) On your way home, stop by the Oglethorpe Garage for a local beer, wine, or spirits. There is also a CVS pharmacy just a mile up the road for quick shopping trips!
