Rural Gem! Recently Remodeled and Redecorated 3/2/2 Farmhouse on 24 Acres

This newly remodeled open concept farmhouse has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, 2 living areas, office & a full kitchen! Can accommodate 9 guests in the bedrooms & 2 in the living room.

Amenities include a coffee/tea bar, fireplace, coy pond, fenced in backyard, swing set, above ground swimming pool, tornado shelter & more! With 23 acres, there is space to stretch your legs, explore, hike, fish & camp. Your hosts live on the far end of the property & are often home so can be available, if needed.

Also available is our 4000 square foot special event and private party facility, with prep kitchen, bathrooms, and plenty of parking. Perfect for big family get-togethers! Ask us about it!

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please DO NOT not remove bedding. Pile all used towels and washcloths in the laundry room floor.
Reset thermostat to 65 if heating, 80 if cooling. Log out of TV apps and turn off. Rinse coffee/tea pots, make sure all appliances are off.
If you used the gas grill, scrape it down and turn off the gas at the bottle.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

This is an excellent property for a family reunion. The house is just as described. It has a lot of space indoors for visiting, playing games, etc. There is also a large yard and the kids really enjoyed the playground equipment. The older kids enjoyed fishing in the pond. I knocked off one star because we were disappointed about the pool; it wasn’t usable during our stay, otherwise would give it a 5/5. But the owner did call twice to apologize and did everything he could to try to get it fixed while we were there.

A beautiful, RELAXING property. Kids had a great time swimming every day and exploring the property. The adults were very comfortable and meal prep was very easy.

Wonderful retreat with everything needed.

This is a great place to relax and unwind. Very secluded yet close to town. House had everything we needed and property grounds were gorgeous. Thank you for hosting us again.

The property itself was absolutely beautiful, and any time I needed to communicate with our host, he responded quickly. Unfortunately, the listing was a bit misleading, as we were under the impression that the price included the venue. (The host was gracious and gave us a good deal to rent the venue, so that was nice.) The grass was also not mowed all the way to the pond, so that limited activities mentioned in the listing. Another thing not mentioned, is that the pool would not be open until the following weekend, so we were super bummed about that since it was quite hot outside and had rented the house with swimming in mind. The propane tank for the grill was empty, and the chairs outside were caked with dirt. The house itself was lovely and accommodated our group well! Overall, we had a wonderful time, it's just the things we were really looking forward to, were not available and that was quite disappointing. I think with a few additional details added to the listing to avoid confusion and add clarity; this property would be highly recommended.

Quick Trip

We took a group of our college ministry to a conference in Shawnee, Oklahoma for a weekend. We stayed at the Blue door home since it was only a few minutes from the OBU campus. The stay was amazing and the house was great!

Pre-Wedding stay

The home was clean with great floor plan. We would stay again. Issues: 1) Had difficulty with the new door lock.2) The pool needed serving, too murky with some debris.

First time renting

Louie the property manager was on site trying to clear the pool up. He was not aware of my rental of the property. He contacted the owner and they worked out whatever was going on. From that point on Louie went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. He gave me his number in case I needed anything. I did reach out to him twice and he promptly took care of my issues. Louie was a rock star.

The house is an older farmhouse on a lot of land. It is very charming with beautiful decorations inside and so many amenities. This truly is a gem. My granddaughter enjoyed the playground and the pool and long walks on the property.!
