Never stay with this host
We came to Birmingham for a travel baseball tournament. I’m going to make this as brief as possible:
1. We get to the house and it looks NOTHING like the pictures. On line it looks really clean and updated. Pics are all clearly photoshopped. It is in a dirty part of town and trash was everywhere outside.
2. We called him and asked what our options were as we couldn’t stay in that place and worked out a deal to stay in another house he hosted. He also agreed he would refund us 2 nights of the trip that we had to stay at a hotel until his other house became available. All seemed fine Despite the bad start.
3. We stayed at the other house (which was fine) and he agreed again he would send me a statement and refund me the 2 nights we had to stay at a hotel.
4. I had to text him and call how for several weeks and finally got him to respond by text(he would answer phone calls) saying he would refund the 2 nights (over $900). Then he texted back saying he would get back with me and I never heard from him. I have texted and called now for a week or 2 and he just won’t respond.
5. We have stayed at many vrbo properties in the past and never had issues.
To summarize, This particular property he has is completely misrepresented in the photos in almost every way. And the host is perfectly fine not refunding money despite promising me several times to do so on text and on the phone.
Do NOT book this place. You will regret it.
