About the host
Hosted by Madelyn Bourland
I live in Charleston, SC with my husband Alex and two pups (Flossie & Hamlin). We love living on the coast, but have a competing love for the Blue Ridge Mountains. We love hosting dinners & events, so hosting you in our cottage is another chance to scratch this itch. We hope you can feel the love and attention we put into the space. We hope that our cottage is a place where wonderful memories are made, we are so excited to have you stay!
Why they chose this property
We love that the cottage provides the perfect blend of seclusion and convenience. It is so quiet and peaceful, especially enjoying coffee or wine on the balcony off of the bedroom. This combined with the fact that the cottage is only 15 minutes from Downtown Asheville and within an hour of some of the best hiking in Western NC makes it the perfect place to us.
What makes this property unique
The Collins Mountain Cottage is a true example of a rustic wooden cabin. Properties like these are typically found off the beaten path, but in this case it is located so close to all that Asheville has to offer.
