Maggie's Farm: Secluded Catskills mountain farmhouse close to skiing and hiking

Our 1920 farmhouse overflows with calm and relaxation. Surrounded by trees and forests, as well as a small pond at the base of the property, there is wildlife galore; you can enjoy birds visiting the porch feeders year-round and our "neighbors" - a group of about 6 deer that walk through the yard in the morning and evening almost every day.

This house is our pride and joy where we come to reset and recharge, and we're excited to share it with you.

Opportunities to relax are everywhere:
• Enjoy a cozy game night in front of the fireplace, or grab a book off the shelves and read in one of the comfy armchairs.
• Sit around the Solo Stove firepit on the back deck and enjoy some of the best stargazing (the Milky Way is clearly visible most of the year!) - and don't forget to make some s'mores!
• Settle in to the leather sofa to watch a movie and decompress (every streaming service you can imagine!)
• Pop a record on the turntable and fill the house with music - there's a Sonos soundbar in the living room and a portable Sonos Roam in the kitchen you can use anywhere around the house, including outside.
• Open one of the many, many, many jigsaw puzzles and take over the kitchen table.
• The deep clawfoot soaking tub off the primary bedroom is the perfect spot to unwind and recharge.

The house is modern and fully appointed with creature comforts, including:
• A geothermal central heating and central air conditioning system. It's cool in summer and comfy, cozy, and warm in snowy cold winters. It's a respite from busy city life; a peaceful retreat where you can restore your energy.
• Kitchen appliances for everything you need - Kitchen Aid mixer, Vitamix blender, stove, microwave, dishwasher, giant fridge, and every pot/pan/utensil you might need.
• Bedrooms are carpeted for soft, warm wakeups, and beds feature LL Bean percale sheets, down comforters, plus all the pillows and blankets you might desire.

We've filled the house with stylish and thoughtful details, so many plants and books, and great art. Enjoy the chance to relax and rejuvenate in the peace and quiet.

The house is on a private dirt road and set apart from other houses and roads, yet still close to everything in town you might need during your visit. We're 7 minutes from town, and 20 minutes from Belleayre & Plattekill skiing. After a chilly day outside, unwind in front of the cozy woodburning fire and sink deep into relaxation.
