This lovely cottage offers unparalleled sophistication in the vacation rental market. Its upper and lower 'main' concept makes this cottage perfect for family or friends as each level has its own great room, kitchen, bedroom, bath and screened porch. Time together, time alone, makes for the perfect mountain getaway!

The great room dressed in hues of gray, features a granite floor to ceiling fireplace, vaulted ceiling, and double French doors that open on to a spacious screened porch. The porch is ideal for entertaining with a private wooded ridge view, a table for six and sitting area. The open floor plan joins great room to kitchen and quaint eat-in nook. The kitchen's glory is her antique barn wood cabinets with oriental pearl granite and stainless appliances.

The king suite is a relaxing retreat with sitting area, ensuite bath with jetted claw foot tub and double pedestal sinks. Double French doors open to the porch letting in light and bringing in that fresh mountain air.

The terrace level footprint is a duplicate of the main with great room, kitchen, Queen bedroom, bath and screened porch.

We enjoyed our stay. We spent the month of August, unfortunately the weather was very rainy and cold but we enjoyed reading by the beautiful fireplace. The cottage was very well equipped and comfortable.

Mountain Get a way

Lovely home tucked in the forest! Was so looking forward to the screened in patio but the sofa was stained and soiled so I didn’t use it. My husband did though. It was a short trip to Main Street which we always enjoy! Great places to eat and shop.

The location, screened in deck and appliances were top notch. It rained almost every day but the gas logs made everything super cozy. Look forward to our next trip!

Excellent short stay!

This is just an adorable cottage/cabin very close to downtown Highlands. Owners were simply great, house is well stocked and ideal for two couples or small family. Staircase downstairs may not be suitable for all, but still a great place. Wish we could have stayed longer. Great shopping in Highlands!

Perfect cottage for our stay. It was clean & well maintained. Loved the screened in porch. The weather was so mild that we kept the doors to the porch open all night. It was wonderful! We enjoyed the fact that the cottage was 1 mi to town, so we were able to walk.

We had two couples and the house was situated perfectly! There was an upstairs and downstairs suite with kitchen and living room and each had their own fireplace! The home is updated and decorated beautifully. Loved the screened in porches. Beds and linens were comfortable and nice quality. The grill needed cleaning so we didn't use it. Also the pans in the lower over drawer were pretty bad so did not use them either. Overall - great place!

Perfect cabin for a week or weekend visit

Fresh updates to the property including tasteful decor, modern appliances and comfortable furniture. We loved the easy access to Highlands, the quiet street, and the cozy screen-in porches. Another great feature is having a kitchen on lower and upper leves. Families or friends can have an area on both levels with separate bed and bath for convenience/privacy. Stop by and see the owner at their shop in town! We had a great experience.

Beautiful Highlands Getaway

We had a lovely Thanksgiving and mini-Family Reunion at the Foxdale cottage. Foxdale is beautifully situated and decorated. We would surely stay at this property again. Our hosts were very responsive the one time we reached out to them and addressed the issue later that day. COOK’S NOTES: We cooked 6 breakfasts and 4 dinners, including Thanksgiving dinner. The appliances are new and work well. There's only one paring knife that's sharp, so bring a good chefs knife. They supply 2 or 3 pots, a stainless-steel skillet, and 3 non-stick skillets - 8", 10" and 12" and all three are very worn and should be replaced. The spices available are salt, pepper, Italian seasoning and chili powder - bring anything else you might need. Pros: 1. The Mattresses and linens are top-tier quality. 2. There were plenty of extra bath linens. 3. The kitchen has very nice, new appliances. 4. In warmer months, the screened porches practically double the living area. Cons: 1. The hot water in the upstairs bathroom will come on briefly, then go artic-cold. The owner/manager is aware. 2. The gas fireplace doesn't work. It worked briefly the first night, when it suddenly shut off, and we couldn’t get it back on during the remainder of our visit. 3. The television isn't connected to anything but the DVD player. The TV displayed an error message that no signal was found when switched to cable. 4. Those gorgeous claw-footed tubs. If you are in anyway mobility impaired the tubs will be a challenge.

Charming cabin..

It is a wonderful place. I gave it three stars for cleanliness because there were moldy coffee grounds in the coffeemaker and the downstairs was very dusty and full of spider webs. You should know that there claw foot tubs In the bathrooms and it is quite a climb to get in to shower. I am 70 so was especially apprehensive. Otherwise, we loved it!

It's Snow Time!

This property is designed with comfort in mind. The bedding is delightful! I loved the high count sheets! From the moment you walk in the door, you will be impressed. The furnishings are upscale.
