Comfortable home for two families of four with a convenient location to mountain. Well equipped kitchen. Owner was very responsive and took quick corrective actions to an issue we discovered at check in. Would stay again.

Private, quiet, clean

The cottage at Jewel Brook was perfectly located for our purposes, close to town but not too close, near our favorite haunts in southern Vermont. Kitchen is well stocked and open in concept to allow for two cooks at once. The house is nestled at the top of a rise above Jewel Brook, which was bubbling happily after two profound afternoon thunderstorms. We enjoyed our stay.

Great location for Okemo ski trip

This is beautifully appointed, well kept and very clean . Four adults, three teens and one younger child all enjoyed our stay. Lots of room to relax and play games together. Kidenjoyed

Cozy and convenient

House was close to Okemo and town. House itself was clean and comfortable. Kids enjoyed having their own space downstairs and plenty of room for all 8 of us. Would love to come back next season.

Best Stay at Okemo!

The house is adorably decorated and so cozy! The beds are super comfortable, and everything was tidy and clean. The stream running behind the house is also a lovely addition to the quaint vibe. Although the house is on the small side, it’s super cute and exactly what our family of five needed for an enjoyable ski weekend at Okemo. Also, so close to the ski slopes and restaurants in town. The owner was quick to communicate when I had questions, and the whole family had a blast! We’ll definitely book the same place again next winter.

Great home close to Okemo

We had three generations (7yrs-67yrs; total of 7 people plus a dog) stay in Jeff’s place. It was just right with plenty of space for all - 2 full baths and 4 BR plus 2 “living room” areas [note that two of the bedrooms are on a different floor without a bath on that level]. Very comfortable and tasteful decor/furnishing; All new. Very close to Okemo (7min) where we skied each day. It snowed 16inches one night while we there and the road was plowed by 7am! Very good, timely communication with Jeff up to and throughout our stay. Stocked with toiletries, TP, paper towels and dish soap. Definitely would stay again!

Beautiful House with a Great Owner

My friends and I rented out this house for a getaway weekend during the summer and it became one of our greatest memories. The house was beautiful and remained perfectly cool for the summer. The owner, Jeff, was very kind and accommodating; he always answered in a timely manner if we had any questions or concerns. For example, we had an issue late in the evening and a handy man was over and resolved the problem within 10 minutes! There was so much to do in the town and area: Buttermilk falls, Echo lake, Okemo Resort, and even Bromley Mountain about 30 mins away; as well as many shops and restaurants right down the road. We felt very safe and welcomed on our girls trip, all due to the owner and kind people from the town!

Do not judge a book by it's cover!

Making the arrangements with Jeff was a breeze. We drive down the street in Ludlow and the house looked like it was smaller than we had expected. Couldn't be further from the truth. When we walked in our jaws dropped!. It was perfectly appointed with everything you could want. Updated kitchen with coffee maker (and all sorts of coffees), a fantastic living room 2 huge bedrooms and 2 more bedrooms with twins downstairs with a TV and foosball for the kids. If I could rent it for the winter, I would. We had one small issue, I called Jeff and the issue was remedied immediately. The owners of this property could give lessons to other VRBO renters on "how it's done".

Great Place Just Outside Of Ludlow VT

Review A delightful little house in the woods just a short drive outside of downtown Ludlow & Okemo ski mountain. Easy to find and access, this home includes a unique floorplan with 3 levels that is enjoyable for both families with children and multiple adults, able to spend time together and also secluded time apart. There is a front porch and a back deck. The Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for cooking or takeout. This place is clean and comfortable (especially the beds that have pillow tops). Modern amenities like HDTV, 3 way coffee pot and good internet. Most enjoyable is the back deck which overlooks Branch Brook, a tree shaded stream with the constant bubbling of water running over rocks. We were here in the summer and used it as a base for exploring the area and neighboring towns and villages. If you’re exploring, try Buttermilk Falls (only 10 minutes away), or if you’re looking for a swim in a fresh cool lake, try Plymouth State Park (only 15 minutes away). Jeff was easy to reach and very responsive when we had questions. We would definitely come back for another stay in the area.
