About this property

Spacious 1450 sf 2 BR Private Suite w/Dog Fe

This Apartment style basement suite is perfect for any group with 1450 sf of space. Dogs are welcome and we will also share our back fenced dog park!

The basement is private, Sleeps 9.

Newly renovated in 2022 our home is comfortable with
Modern & vintage decor. Each bedroom has a closet, dresser, nightstand & desk.

We are not a wheelchair friendly home. We are a dog paradise!

Our third sleeping area is a non-enclosed area you walk through to bedrooms.
We welcome your questions.

The space
A super fun and clean, newly remodeled basement 2 (Airbnb calls it a 3 BR) BR apartment / suite area with full kitchen, bath and two family room areas, one with two beds that we consider an open third bedroom, is quite comfy.
Our basement Sleeps 9 on one king bed, one queen, one full, daybed for 2 and a couch.
We allows pets and have an outdoor small 10x10 dog pen also available.

Enjoy our entire living areas of basement 1450 sf approx, 2 televisions, outdoor dining table with seating/gas grill/firepit on your private patio at the basement north side / lower entry. Free spacious parking for 3 vehicles on our upper level entry area. Also feel free to walk and explore our back pond and big yard. Two fire pit areas, one is out back and overlooks pond.
Other things to note
We are 6 blocks walking distance to day shopping and evening drinking spots on 4th St. 15-20 min drive to Holiday World.

We are a non-smoking home, if you smoke in our home it is a $500 cleaning fee.
Smoking outside is permitted.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please gather the towels to lower steps to upstairs.
Wash any dishes.
Remove sheets from beds slept on, and take to bottom of steps to upstairs.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Remove trash at exit of stay to upper garage pad.
Early check in requests may be honored with a $40/hour fee.
Smoking inside the home incurs a $500 cleaning fee add on.

Our host, Vicki was wonderful! She answered questions quickly and offered suggestions on local restaurants. Everything was just perfect for hosting a Christmas gathering! The home was decorated beautifully, the kitchen was well equipped, and we had plenty of seating room for everyone.Believe this is the place to host our annual Christmas gathering!

Secret Paradise

This property is fully stocked, beautiful, and clean. The accommodations are top notch. Close to everything and has great places to walk. The hosts were great, easy to communicate with and checked on us during the stay. Everthing about this property was welcoming! Would recommend this property and the host to all! Exactly what we needed!

It's often hard to find a dog friendly place to stay. My service dog in training Jack and I spent two nights there. We loved it! It is clean, well furnished, and has a great cozy seating spot by the living room TV that was perfect for my needs. While it was just the two of us, there is plenty of space for a large family. We didn't use the kitchen much, but had I known how nice it would be, I'd have brought more food. It appears I will soon have more things to do in Huntingburg. I will book this place again, for sure!

Vicki & Philip were “great” host! Too often when you rent a place like this you never see or meet the owners. Like I said, they were fantastic and actually added to pleasure of our over all stay. The place was perfect for the 6 of us. The only negative was not being able to get regular TV to watch the College World Series baseball games and the US Open Golf Tournament. But this could have been the lack of our knowledge of the tv system. But that would not stop us from going back.

Spacious, inviting, and beautiful outdoor area

The space was very clean and inviting. We will stay here again if we are in the area. The rock path to get down to the basement area may be difficult for some people, but the host did say they are working on replacing that. We did meet the host as we were leaving and they were very kind and easy to hold a conversation with. When we arrived, the fireplace in the livingroom was going and there were lamps on throughout the space to make the home inviting and easy to navigate. This vrbo was comparable to a VRBO we rented near the beach in North Carolina. They even decorated the space with tiny items for Easter. The refrigerator, stove, and appliances were prestine and worked very well. Within moments of walking into the VRBO, we were sad to only stay one night.

Great family time

We came as a family of 11 for a weekend of fun at Holiday World. The home accommodated all of us very comfortably. It was well stocked with everything we needed. There is plenty of space for the kids with areas to play along with toys and games and also provides sitting areas for the adults. The property is beautiful with the pond and the landscaping. The only negative for my family was that the walkway to the unit is uneven and one of my daughters has cerebral palsy so it was hard for her to walk down it, but we simply walked her around the edge on the grass. (I should also say that when I was looking for a unit I failed to think of this so it's totally on me) We enjoyed our stay so much we gifted our host our blankets.
