The host communicated well, the beds were very comfy, the walkway to the river and dock(s) were a blast to play on, and the home felt inviting. We will try to stay here again.
The house was beautiful and so was the scenery. It being right next to a river was the highlight of it all. It was well furnished, supplied us with basic necessities and everything was overall clean. I loved that they provided us with fire wood for the fire pit and games to play together. 10/10!!!
The house was wonderful. Plenty of spots for sleeping. The game table and downstairs space was wonderful for the kids to entertain themselves. Loved the fire pit and there was plenty of wood on site. We brought our own paddle boards and kayaks, but there was plenty there. And lots of tubes/floats if you desired that. House was very clean and smelled nice. We will stay again.
House was very comfortable and roomy for family. Loved the screened in porches and extra refrigerator and bathroom downstairs. Would definitely stay again!
We loved staying at the Tipsy Turtle. The Ichetucknee river is one of our favorite places to visit. We did multiple float, snorkel, & kayak/SUP trips all from the Tipsy Turtle dock or the TREPO parks. We'll definitely be coming back.
Great place right on the River. Plenty of kayaks and even a see thru canoe. Spacious upstairs and open air downstairs play area for the kids.

Thank you so much for the perfect 10/10 rating last year! We’re thrilled you enjoyed your stay at the Tipsy Turtle. We’d love to welcome you back anytime!
Great!! Home was clean neat organized and perfect place to enjoy the river. Access was great, had kayaks, tubes and all the essentials. Highly recommend.
Wonderful stay at this home on a spring fed river. Three comfortable Bedrooms with a gorgeous wraparound, screened in porch. We Paddled down from the headspring right to house. Plenty of kayaks and floats to use. Nature all around with manatees, turtles, deer -Great place to unwind.
This house/cabin is PERFECTLY situated on the Ichetucknee River. Clean, comfortable… huge screened in porches. It took our family about 2 and a half hours to paddle on the (available) kayaks upriver into the State Park and to the midpoint launch, and an hour to float/paddle back. The river access is… such a treat, and the deck out at the edge was much enjoyed. We saw a couple manatees swim by, even in April, which was a surprise.

Thank you so much for the perfect 10/10 rating! We’re thrilled you enjoyed your stay at the Tipsy Turtle. We’d love to welcome you back anytime!
Cabin inside was very clean! Kitchen was stocked with necessary items. I completely understand the decks are open to the elements, but it would be nice to hose it down every so often. Wear your shoes outside. The boardwalk to the water is a good length, but that’s expected for the area. The house had all the fun water rafts/kayaks, the only bummer was you’re not provided the key for neighborhood park. So you have to use the State Park across the street and no instructions. It would have been nice to utilize the rafts from the house.

Thanks for the 10/10! We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you back at the Tipsy Turtle soon.
Just as pictured. We loved launching our kayaks and SUP at the Ichetucknee Springs State Park and taking out at the property. (You will need at least 2 vehicles for this.) The screened in porches are very nice. We recommend and would consider staying here again.
The home was great and accommodated the party comfortably. The only issue we had was with river access. Due to locals not wanting short term rentals, the areas where you can launch and exit the river have been privatized and have large no trespassing signs posted. These launch and exit points from the river are kept locked and only residents have this key. Being that the river is the main entertainment and attraction it makes it very difficult to enjoy it unless you have a party big enough and two vehicles to shuttle people to the state park to launch from and then you are able to exit behind the home.

Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad the home comfortably accommodated your party. We understand the river access can be challenging without multiple vehicles, many guests bring two vehicles for this very reason.
We’ve identified a few local independent paid providers who can offer shuttle services when scheduled, which should make enjoying the river much easier in the future. We appreciate your suggestion and the opportunity to improve our guests' experiences. We hope to welcome you back to the Tipsy Turtle soon!
House sits on beautiful Ichetucknee River in Three River Estates but owner does not give renter their key to use Hodor Park for access to the river. Owners answer to this problem is "use the State Park access" which charges an additional fee. The reason for renting is to be on the river with multiple floating each day. We have rented on this river many years and have always provided a key by the owner. No linens available for two of the beds. I had to buy linens so could use them. Mattresses need replacing, one particularly very lumpy. Shower leaks like a sieve.

Thank you for your 10/10 rating! We’re glad you enjoyed the beautiful Ichetucknee River and the home overall.
We do apologize you felt it was not what it seems. We work very hard and are very transparent with our guests on our website and with multiple emails prior to check-in. This is to prevent any issues for our guests so they can enjoy their stay.
Ichetucknee State Park offers two put-in locations for $6 per car, allowing guests to choose a float length time that works best for their group, with a scenic route directly back to the house. We have also identified an independent paid transporter for people who may not have planned for 2 vehicles for a ride up to the parks if needed.
We addressed the shower leak immediately once made aware and spoke with cleaning staff regarding extra sheets and blankets, We are always glad to correct any issues immediately when we are notified.
We appreciate your feedback and are always trying to improve for our guests to have a great stay on the river!
Pros: The house, grounds, and location were fantastic. Super clean place with comfortable beds, spacious kitchen, and a comfy living room area. Upstairs and downstairs screened in porches with tons of fans were also a delight. Tons of tubes, floats, and kayaks available to use. Cons: There was a miscommunication with the hosts, which they eventually corrected but it was an awkward experience. Host didn’t provide many things a vacation rental typically does such as beach towels, coffee, charcoal, laundry sheets, and laundry soap. There was no shower caddy for the upstairs so our soap had to sit on the floor. Would have been nice to have some chairs available to bring down to the lower part of the dock and a table for the upper part. We were told we had access to the parks but it is not available to renters unless you are willing to paddle against the strong current. Other option is to have two vehicles so you can launch from the state park which cost money to enter and is very restrictive on what vessels can be used. Nice place, great location, but the hosts could do more to make the place feel more like a home and less like a no frills hotel.

This is such a disappointing review as we have never received a review like this and do not feel it accurately represents your stay. We work very hard to accommodate and communicate effectively with our guests. We will certainly try and improve based on the comments however the communication was appropriate had you read any of the information/instructions sent which you clearly didn’t.
The communication mishap was awkward and was solely because you communicated thru airbnb and then booked thru vrbo, a completely different platform. It is not difficult to understand that we had no record of your previous communications since they were on a completely different site. Hopefully all of the 5 stars that we have will be reviewed by future guests for a better indication of our usual guests stay.
