The Sea Eagle - Luxury 5 BR Waterfront Home in Boothbay Harbor with Dock & Sauna
A completely renovated waterfront home in the heart of Boothbay Harbor, The Sea Eagle is steps from the ocean with a private dock and balconies overlooking the sparkling harbor. Drink morning coffee on the porch while listening to church bells and distant fog horns. Walk to art galleries, shops, restaurants, Mama Di’s bakery and the iconic Footbridge. Swim and kayak from your dock. Adventurous guests may sleep in the unique cove-side bungalow perched on the rocks at the top of the tide. Relax in a newly installed 3 person teakwood dry heat or steam sauna. The space This home was in major disrepair when we bought it in 2020. Extensive renovations from the foundation up were required. My wife and our team of talented craftsman curated every detail, adding in old home charm with antique newel posts, period corbels and restored windows. No part of the home went untouched. The waters-edge shack was ramshackle when we bought the house. This too has been fully restored with a main floor and a loft that can accommodate 3 or 4 adventurous guests who want to sleep inches from the water. Check out our Insta postings at SugarHollowProperties to see before and after pictures. Guest access The whole home is available to you. This includes a garage for one car with room for additional cars bedside the house or on the nearby side street. Other things to note Our home has a tidal dock out back. Great for using the kayaks provided, swimming, or just enjoying a glass of wine in the Adirondack chairs while the tide rolls in. There is a first floor full bath with a pull out sofa in a den nearby, making one floor access an option for disabled guests. Please note, the house is very close to a busy street out front and has no fence at the shoreline. These may be a safety issues for toddlers or small children.

We had a great stay for our early family Christmas! The house is beautiful and great location just a short walk to town. We would definitely stay there again!
The Sea Eagle was a great place to stay. Perfect view, close to town & a seafood market you can walk to. The house had everything you could want. We'll be back!
Loved our stay. Walking distance to everything. Kids loved the kayaks & dock. We loved having coffee on the harbor every morning. Plenty of room for multiple families.
We felt so happy in this home. With a view of the whole harbor and the tide cycles, this house is full of wonderful restorative touches. Park your car and walk everywhere to enjoy the quiet beauty of this harbor. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Thank you for the great review Erick. We are thrilled you had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. If you haven’t seen them out already, please check out the before, and after pictures of the renovation on our Instagram Sugarhollow properties.
Six of us stayed at Sea Eagle and enjoyed every minute of this well appointed and thoughtfully decorated house. If you are considering Boothbay, I highly recommend. The location can’t be beat, the house has everything you need to include comfy beds and nice linens, plenty of places to enjoy the company of others or enjoy some solitude. It really is a gem. We look forward to returning.
This is a beautiful house - almost everything is newly decorated and pristine. Our family gathering of 13 people- 6 couples and 7 kids age 8-15–loved our time there. From watching the tidal changes to fishing for crabs to sitting on the lovely deck to enjoying the great town of Boothbay Harbor, we had a wonderful vacation. We highly recommend the house!! Owners are very responsive, too.

About the host
Hosted by Scott Buchanan
Kirsten and Scott have always had a love of old homes. We began renovating these gems about 10 years ago. Each project has been more challenging than the one before. We have 4 kids who have helped out, pulling old carpet and sweeping up messy job sites....all part of their college funds!
Why they chose this property
Boothbay Harbor is a classic Maine coastal destination. So many old beautiful homes. The town is walkable with many restaurants, art galleries, and picturesque coves.
What makes this property unique
Our home is one of the only waterfront properties large enough to sleep 15 or even 18 guests. It has a wonderful dock for water access. It also sports a charming, fully renovated "bungalow on the rocks". We call this the "Eagles Nest". A 10 x 8 foot two level shack with a double futon and a loft with 2 single beds. Perfect for adventurous guests!
