C’était magnifique

Les propriétaires sont charmants, il nous répondait même tard le soir à cause du décalage horaire pour nous conseiller sur une plage ou des lieux à visiter. Et même lui dire ce que normalement les touristes n’ont pas eu l’occasion de voir , La maison est magnifique très bien équipée, très propre, rien à dire merci encore infiniment.

Villa African Queen is filled with charm, serenity and soul. The garden is especially spacious and beautiful and the pool is heavenly. Isabelle and Stephane couldn't have been more delightful and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and are looking forward to the next!

A truly outstanding, original, luxurious Caribbean retreat. I will stay nowhere else on the island!

I love St Barth, I really do. I love stepping off the plane and getting hit in the face with that warm tropical breeze, the smell of the sea a breath away. You immediately feel in a tropical paradise, a bubble far from reality. The only problem I ever had with the island is the fact that all the villas are identical, made in the same mould, and in my opinion, too surgical for such a wild and organic paradise island. ENTER VILLA AFRICAN QUEEN. A friend recommended me this villa, and I must say that from the minute I drove my car through the gate, I was taken aback by the lush charm of this one-of-a-kind retreat. How can any other operating room glass case villa compare with this secret haven located a stone throw from 5 (FIVE!) of the best hotels on the island, AND a private lagoon?! Yes, I said lagoon... This is apparently one of the biggest private pools around, and I have no problems believing it! Clearly, I am a fan! Everything was taken care of for my arrival thanks to the super professional management team, the best water sport centre is a 2 mn walk on a stunning beach (kite surf, paddle board, windsurfing, kayak, and scuba) and I can only strongly recommend this place, even though I am afraid once the secret is out, it may get harder for me to rent!

We were hoping to keep it for ourselves

But sharing is caring so here I go. Villa African Queen is the only place we will stay in St Barths. Location, layout, generous proportions, biggest private pool on the island and I could go on for a while. Someone said because VAQ is not one of the glass, mirror and stainless steel hill villas it is not rented as often. What a waste and such bad judgement. I agree with the other 5 star reviews and after 2 vacations at VAQ I would and will go back next trip. I cannot recommend it highly enough I only hope there will always be a couple of weeks available per year. It would be traumatic for us to have to stay elsewhere.

Paradise found!

Staying in the African Queen was like stepping into a brochure that you've always read what a Caribbean vacation is supposed to be!! The Beautiful Villa , gorgeous grounds, and the 88ft.pool that makes you feel that you are swimming in private lagoon is just too much! The Villa is located in the best location in St.Barts next to major five star hotels and restaurants and a minutes drive from the Airport, town of Gustavia, and the fabulous beaches of St. Jean, Orient, Shell Beach and Flammand. I will definitely make plans to return plus the African Queen comes with a gracious host , That makes all your problems disappear while discretely living nearby but always making sure everything is in working order!!!! Yes Paradise found......

A piece of paradise in paradise

This Villa met all of our expectations and more! We had 3 couples heading to the Caribbean that had never been before. We decided on St. Barth's based on this magnificent villa. Nick, the manager was so accommodating! The Villa was as if you were in an exclusive resort with only 3 suites. We each loved the Villa, especially the outdoor living space, beautiful gardens, and overall warmth of the surroundings. Walking distance to Grand Cul de Sac with it's fabulous intimate restaurants was icing on the cake. We enjoyed making meals at the Villa as the kitchen was well equipped with a large refrigerator and an outdoor BBQ. We would recommend this Villa to couples as well as families. It has something for everyone.

Beyond our expectations!

I decided to write this review as this villa was beyond our expectations and we had a magical 10 days of exotic Luxury. We really felt like Gods on earth and could not get over the size of the pool and the atmosphere of the place especially at night. Also, we would like to thank Nick, the discreet and helpful manager for making everything possible and showing us round. We highly recommend and will of course be back with friends. Thanks!
