About this property
Shenandoah Mountain House - Guest Suite
Smells of the forest. Sights of the mountain. Conveniences of home. Welcome to our little secret in Shenandoah!
Our chalet is situated on the hills surrounding Shenandoah Valley. Walk 25 minutes to the river. Drive 10 minutes to the national park entrance and Skyline Drive. Our property owners association keeps the roads in excellent condition year-round.
Your guest suite is on the ground floor, recently finished, with its private entrance (separated from main floor), with all amenities you'll need. You'll have the deck upstairs and the outdoor spaces (hammock, swings, fire pit, charcoal grill, etc) all to yourself!
There are two bedrooms each with its bathroom inside. There is also a comfy couch in the living room.
There's an outdoor space with a hammock and two swings. The stairs go up to the main deck which is a shared space (although we prefer not to be at home while we have guests). This is where the patio furniture, grill, and tabletop fire pit are.
Please note that the kitchen has an electric stovetop and a microwave but no oven (due to county restrictions). There is also a fridge, dishwasher, toaster, and Nespresso coffee maker in the kitchen area.

We enjoyed the place to stay and it was perfect for what respite as well as getting to the national park! The backyard was very relaxing with the firepit and enjoyed the wildlife each evening!
This mountain chalet suite was absolutely perfect for four adults looking to unplug for a weekend. The house stayed cool the entire time we were there and we made use of the charcoal grill and other amenities. We had five deer friends in the yard on the regular. Elif and Ferhan were very informative, communicative and their property is clean and beautiful!
We had a lovely stay! If the weather had been better, I know we would have taken advantage of all the outdoor amenities -- big porch and fire pit. Ferhan was very responisve to any questions we had.
This Rental has everything you'd want with regards to the views, area & community. We hiked a lot on the Appalachian Trails nearby and the home was wonderfully located to those trails. The home is nice, but several issues kept this from being rated 4 or 5 stars. As advertised, this is the LOWER level of a 2-story home. Access into the lower level was terrible. You have to lug all your items up some stairs, around the back balcony, down more stairs and go in via sliding glass doors. Not for anyone with any physical challenges. A couple of maintenance issues took place but were resolved in a timely manner. The area is gorgeous, so our stay was a good one with many memories.
We had a truly wonderful stay at the Shenandoah Mountain House Guest Suite! From start to finish, the communication was top-notch—clear, responsive, and genuinely thoughtful, which made everything feel seamless and welcoming. The location itself is unbeatable: nestled in the mountains with serene surroundings but still incredibly convenient to go into town for whatever you need (including a few hidden gem restaurants that were great!) It was the perfect balance of peaceful retreat and accessibility. The property is absolutely beautiful and clearly maintained with a lot of care and intention. The furnishings strike the perfect note between comfort and charm, and there are so many lovely, well-chosen details that made the space feel special, such as the beautiful plates and quirky kitchen utensils that added an extra layer of charm. It’s obvious that a lot of love went into designing and equipping the space, not just for aesthetics, but for real guest comfort and appreciation. One thing to note is that our check-in ended up being delayed by a couple hours due to someone checking out the morning of. If you need a strict check-in time, would recommend checking with the host about that closer to your reservation.Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely return. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful, well-appointed mountain escape. We will certainly be staying here again!
