No property to rent.

1st VRBO stay. The host cancelled reservation without any notice until the morning of stay. Had issues because it took VRBO 4 days to respond to priority escalation. No rebooking assistance at all. Finally got VRBO response but it was after my trip was nearly ruined. Helpful but late.

House was nice in an OK neighborhood. I was disappointed about no garage available, as I was told. Dishwasher and garbage disposal not working.

Not what we expected

We have stayed at many properties over the years and we had never experienced some of the things we encountered here. - Host should provide contact number ahead of time for easier check-in. - Clean entrance and living room, very nice big smart TV - They should disclose that they live there when not renting the space, we did not have access to the entire house and some.areas were very cluttered. First morning someone came and opened the garage door w/o advance warning. - Only 2 towels in the upstairs bathroom, no hand towels - Could not access thermostat for upstairs zone, and it was uncomfortably warm a couple of nights (though floor flan helped some)- No closet space (mudroom bench with hooks), almost all drawers locked- Bathroom could use a deep cleaning- overall disappointed because we stayed 6 nights, could be OK for a couple of days.

Shared house/housemate situation

Homeowners have lovely style, but aren't fully versed in housekeeping and maintenance. Floors were not clean(I wore socks indoors (100%). Water faucets had hard water buildup (likely no salt). Dishwasher looked dirty with a lost utensil in the bottom. No hand towels, only paper towels. Clothes dryer lint trap had 3/4" of buildup before my load and looked as if it was rarely if ever, cleaned. Lower toilet was tough to flush. Cabinets were chock full of random items, but missing any size of pot. Homeowners medicines and opened food items were everywhere in the refrigerator and cabinets. No pot holders or hot pads. The topper was that while listing says "entire house ", the owner had the upstairs master bedroom suite full to the brim with their belongings. Same for basement stairwell and garage. Homeowners came by twice - first to take trash (then stayed more than 2 hours!).; then unexpectedly when I was at the property. She's a lovely lady, but I was not anticipating a hostel or roommate situation. So while the neighborhood was quiet enough, decor was lovely, and two bedrooms were available, it was not as advertised. Photos available for VRBO if desired 1/0
