Cedar River Home-Pet Friendly!

Nestled along the tranquil banks of West Branch Cedar River, this charming riverside home offers the perfect escape. Recently updated with modern amenities, it boasts a cozy atmosphere combined with the comforts of home. Located 15 minutes from the town of Harrison and 33 minutes from Houghton Lake. While the house is perfect for those seeking peace and solitude, its also just a short drive to the popular northern destinations.

The primary bedroom is on the main floor which has a king bed and private bath. Two twin beds are in the upstairs loft, and a futon is in the basement. Our loft stairs are a little steep so please keep that in mind for those in your group. There is a full kitchen, we provide snacks and coffee! The river is known to have trout. If you plan to bring fishing equipment you`re more than welcome to try your luck! With this being a remote area we do have a neighbor that has a dog that likes to roam sometimes, they have always been friendly. Stay toasty on cool nights with our fire table on the back deck or at the fire pit out front. Whether you`re seeking a peaceful retreat or an adventure filled weekend, our cedar river home will provide you the perfect mix of comfort and nature.

The house was so well decorated, clean, and so cozy! We loved the wood bringing fireplace and our time to get away and relax. The kitchen is perfect if you want to cook a meal and we will definitely be staying again in the future!

We absolutely adored this place that provides all the comforts of home with the up north feel of having bonfires and sitting by the river. We so enjoyed our stay and had such a wonderful time! We will most certainly be back to visit family and hope to stay here again! Thank you!

Cedar River is a peaceful escape to relax and unwind. The home has spacious rooms with plenty of windows and doors to allow beautiful Michigan breezes to flow through. The river can be enjoyed from the deck or the bank.

Our stay was great! This location is a beautiful getaway with a nice deck that overlooks a peaceful creek in the back yard. The area is spacious and cozy. Very accommodating for pets. We were very happy with our decision to stay here and would gladly do so again!

This is an adorable and immaculate place to stay. We enjoyed the fully updated space. The kitchen is a dream kitchen. The upstairs loft is a child's dream. The view from the deck was peaceful and serene. I would definitely stay here again.

We arrived on a Friday afternoon...first impression was the cleanliness and beauty of the decor. The creek with the sound of the water gracefully flowing through the rocks and branches was so relaxing. We had a fun time exploring the area, long walks and the late night fires. Even though the internet/wifi were not working, we had the best time with our friends. (A tree fell on the dish, a technician came Saturday morning and fixed). A few things to know, there is no ice maker in Freezer, bring ice for drinks, and the stairs going to loft are very steep. We will recommend this to everyone!
