We had a great time at the lodge! The lodge had everything we needed for a large group reunion in a beautiful setting. We appreciated the host’s great communication and how well equipped the cabin was. Truly is a one of a kind experience! Close to downtown Northport, the beach, and other activities, this was a great place to stay.
An amazing log cabin with lots of care taken over the years to make this place what it is today! The setup offers plenty of room to spread out or come together as a family, making memories for a lifetime. Would definitely recommend and stay ourselves again when in the area.
We had a wonderful stay, and the lodge was the perfect setting to celebrate a milestone birthday with a small group of close friends. The interior decor was simply perfect. It was cozy, carefully decorated and spacious. Everyone slept so well and enjoyed being together under one roof. I highly recommend the lodge and the various spaces/rooms that bring togetherness and comfort.
We enjoyed a beautiful weekend celebrating my mom’s 70th birthday. The place is gorgeous and they have thought of all of the details to ensure you have a wonderful stay. A very special place that exceeded our expectations!
I would absolutely recommend this property! It blew our expectations out of the water. The house is even more magical than the pictures show. The decor and style of the house is so well done. Daniel was a very responsive host who has thought of everything. I will definitely be booking this property again next summer!
Awesome place. Served our large family group very well. Great lodge, with a great professional kitchen. Great bathrooms with Japanese fixtures. One had a steam bath. Well equipped, nice furnishings, comfy. Pizza oven and gas grill outside. Woodsy setting with lots of outdoor play space.Closest beach access to east-facing Traverse Bay not as awesome as west-facing Cat Head Bay beaches accessible by short drive and15-20 minute walk. Roughly 1hour to TVC.
We were in town with family and friends for a family winter wedding and wanted a space where we could gather together. The lodge estate was perfect-- it's very spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable and located in a gorgeous wooded setting. The kitchen is very large and well-equipped. We also loved the many card and board games that were available for use. At one point, we had some folks in the large living area, watching football, another group gathered around a table for card games, other sitting my the roaring fireplace, and a few more chatting in the kitchen! It was just what we had envisioned for our gathering. There's so much room-- no one ever felt crowded. We came in the very snowy winter-- we'd love to come in the summer some time and enjoy the lovely outdoor areas! Great stay! The photos posted on the website are very accurate. The owner was so helpful and flexible in all the time leading up to and during our stay.
Overall the place was perfect for our group, plenty of space for all 12 of us without feeling like we were on top of each other. The backyard and firepit was great. Few small things came up like backyard lights not working, light switches being confusing - but nothing that interfered with the enjoyment of our stay. Any questions we had were quickly answered by the host. Place was clean upon arrival and not having to really do anything upon leaving the place at the end of our stay was very nice. Not always the case with some rentals!
This is an outstanding property! Check-in was a breeze and we had a welcome letter telling us of the history of the lodge. The lodge has everything you would expect of a log cabin in the woods - huge comfortable furniture, beautiful fireplaces, very comfortable beds --- PLUS this is sprawling. There was more than enough for our family group. On several nights, with windows open (yes they are screened) several in our group heard owls hooting and attests to the remoteness of the place. The kitchen was huge and very well stocked to the point we didn't have to unpack the things we brought..however we replaced what we could from our own supplies. We had one small issue that the owner was very quick to reply, ensuring our stay would be enjoyable. For large groups, this is the place to visit!
My husband and I were searching for a place to do our little wedding with a small group of friends and family and this place was perfect. It’s so serene and secluded and a gorgeous setting for what we wanted.
We had 10 friends stay the first night and help us set up and prep everything for our dinner, we ended up doing all the food ourselves and the kitchen was gorgeous and had everything we needed, and the living room was spacious enough to comfortably seat all of our guests for our dinner.
This house was gorgeous and we wish we could have booked it for longer. It was perfect for what we wanted. Daniel was super helpful and had quick answers to any questions we had. I highly reccomend this Vrbo.
This is much more than a log cabin. The house has fully updated amenities and has been well cared for / or wonderfully renovated. It is in great condition.
Similar to other reviews, the photos underrepresent how modern and classic the space is. The interior has a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook for 10 people (inclusive of 2 dishwashers - aiding in the speed of cleaning). The yard and house has plenty of space and is also fully stocked with books, records, and games.
We thoroughly enjoyed our week north of Northport. Quick access to Northport and the 4th of July festivities. Also a scenic drive from Sutton’s Bay, Sleeping Bear Dunes and several wineries.
Host was very responsive. Everything has been thought of. We would stay again!
