A Romantic, Family And Pet Friendly Guest House.

Winding Ridge is a two bedroom early 1900‘s replica guest house located on 22 acres of country bliss.
The master bed room features a romantic wrought iron king-sized bed nestled in front of a wood burning fireplace. The second bedroom has a full sized bed with a twin pull out trundle. The master bath features a romantic double tub a large closet with robes and slippers for your use. The second bathroom has a lovely vintage tub and sink with a large shower. The living room hosts a leather couch with a queen sized pull out bed for extra guests who want to cozy up in front of the main fireplace. Winding Ridge beds are furnished with Restoration Hardware’s lovely stonewashed Belgian linen sheets and bedding to help make your stay a memorable one.
Our kitchen has all the utensils for your cooking and dining needs. We no longer provide breakfast items - We provide coffee, teas and condiments

The home has a large covered patio with grill, tables and living area with fire pit for outdoor enjoyment. Lovely rustic gardens surround the home including a massive old pecan tree to rest under. The wrap around porch with its rocking chairs is the perfect place to view the property or nap in our rough cedar swing bed.

Stargaze in our secluded hot tub near the large rock fire pit and the Sunset swing/ picnic table patio.

A new rock garden hosts a hammock and a small fire pit and chairs.

Enjoy playing indoor games or outdoor horseshoes, washers, and giant Jenga . We have Direct TV and a Amazon Fire stick or bring in movies for the DVD player. There’s Bluetooth boom box for indoor or outdoor pleasure.

Nature abounds on the outside t play with the miniature herd of horses, donkeys and goats... your own private petting zoo! ( bring a bag of carrots and make forever friends :)

Bring your own bicycles or use our two guest bikes to roam the winding countryside. Motorcyclists will love to stay here and ride the miles and miles of scenic county roads.

In summer months, enjoy our pool located at our adjoining property

Truly a hidden gem less than an hour outside of Dallas. My girlfriend and I, along with our 2 dogs, spent a relaxing Labor Day weekend here. It was so peaceful and rejuvenating! We will certainly be back and plan on bringing friends!

We had an exceptional time. We had my granddaughter's bridal tea party there and the property was spot on. Plenty of room, the girls loved the linen bed sheets and bathtubs! The outdoors, with the many different sitting areas, was a hit along with the bed swing. The friendly goats were a joy to watch. Couldn't have asked for a better location. Thank you Delinda !

We’ve have stayed here 3 times now and it’s always been so welcoming! Easy access, very clean, and the view just keeps getting better every time. The wrap around porch is amazing for sunrises, sunsets, star gazing and even watching a storm roll in. Great place to decompress!

We enjoyed a very picturesque and relaxing stay. It was a lovely place to decompress and spend quality time with family. The farm animals were sweet. Unfortunately the hot tub was out of order, but the host was quick to respond and offered to have someone come out to fix the hot tub, but we were content with the tubs.Delinda and Charles were great hosts. Delinda was happy to provide things to do, places to eat and even got us a private tour of a local ranch They are lovely people and I hope to stay there again.

Great location for a peaceful family stay

We stayed there to experience the ranch life and it truly was the experience we expected. My kids loved the farm animals, my dog loved the huge space to run around, we enjoyed it the patio and wood burning fire pit. We loved everything there! Will definitely book it again if need to stay in the area!

Amazing, peaceful and beautiful!

The Winding Ridge bed and breakfast is way more than just a bed and breakfast. The accommodations were clean, and inviting. The house was completely stocked with everything you need and want. The grounds are beautiful and so much fun to explore. Totally kid and family friendly. We can’t wait to go back!!

Perfect country getaway

My family had such a great stay at Winding Ridge! Everything about the property is inviting and relaxing, and the owners are so gracious and welcoming. One of our best vacations ever, none of us wanted to leave! My kids loved all the animals and spending so much time outdoors, the adults appreciated all the areas to sit back and relax, read a book or just enjoy the scenery. The home itself is very well appointed and comfortable. We can't wait to return!

A perfect VRBO experience!

This was one of the best vacation rentals I have had. The house was peaceful, very clean, and had every creature comfort we could ask for. There were so many little lovely touches that enhanced the experience. It was like staying at your grandma's country house - if your grandma were an art collector with a professional hospitality background. Delinda was a welcoming host, the animals were sweet, and our family can't wait to return.

Awesome secluded place

I was down for the races, my first impression was that it was an awesome place. Each day I got to look around i saw more and more. The sunsets and sunrises are awesome and the peace and quiet will slow down your heart rate! I loved it

2nd Time Here - Will Be Back!!!

My family and I can’t get enough of Delinda’s place. From the ranch feel when you walk in and all the other fun amenities on the property to getting the opportunity to play with all the animals, this place doesn’t disappoint! We had perfect weather while we were there, luckily. Peanut, our dog, loves it there too although the goats aren’t fans. Thank you Delinda for sharing your little slice of heaven with us again!

The best family meeting place ever!

This was the perfect meeting place for 2 families coming from different directions. The house was spacious, absolutely clean, and a welcoming combination of elegance and comfort. The beds were cozy, the bathroom tubs luxurious. There were lots of things to entertain young children, like a great big porch swing, a fire pit for s'mores, and the friendliest animals to pet. There was even a private reading cottage if being alone was your thing. We've met in lots of places but this home is by far the best.

Heaven on Earth

Delinda created a true haven here. Safe from worries, stress and full of relaxing, rejuvenating experience. From mind-blowing attention to detail and skillful placement, to the wholesome food and coffee provided, the whole experience sets the bar high for what good hosting truly embodies. Thank you so much for sharing your great taste and warmth, this is my second time and we will be back again soon. Kids truly loved it too, they adore the pool, roaming the grounds and petting all the animals. And we love the fact that they can go freely as the grounds are so vast.

A country escape

We have stayed in many VRBO rentals and this one is definately a favorite. The guest cottage is beautiful and very homey. Everything you could want to make your vacation relaxing is there. The kitchen is fully stocked and the beds are very comfortable. The decor is country and very charming. The photos do not do it justice. This guest house was extremely spacious for our family of four. The guest house is on a beautiful farm with horses,donkeys and goats. Petting the animals was a highlight for all. There is no better place to relax and unwind. We hope to return soon!

The DeLinda discovered and moved to this delightful area in the fall of 2005. She and her husband, Charles, live in a home on the adjoining 30 acres next to Winding Ridge Bed and Breakfast. Charles and DeLinda share their home with a menagerie of animals including 3 dogs, 3 cats, 1 mini horses, 1 mini donkey, 2 Zebu steers, a herd of hoeses , chickens and 18 dwarf Nigerian goats!!!! DeLinda lives working as property manager for their home and for Winding Ridge. She enjoys horseback riding, yoga, acting in the local theatre, animal husbandry and gardening.
