Your family will enjoy a peaceful and cozy stay while being close to restaurants, parks, hiking, family activities, breweries, and wineries. 2.2 miles to Mcgalliard Falls, 0.6 miles to Old Rock School Railroad Museum. Just minutes from Hickory and Morganton.

You will be just steps away from Beautiful Downtown Valdese where they host many events all year round.
Valdese recreation center is a 2 minute walk and they have year round swimming pool. Right cross from there is the Valdese Splash pad which is prefect for the kids in the summer...and its free!

We loved staying in Donna's home in Valdese, NC. It was clean, comfortable, and close to Lenoir Rhyne University where we went to a football game. The neighborhood was quiet and safe too. There was a playground right down the street which our granddaughter loved. We ate at JD's Barbeque and had ice cream and milkshakes at Myra's. There were a lot of good restaurants close by. Donna went the extra mile leaving us snacks and a special Lenoir Rhyne treat which was so thoughtful. We will be back to stay when we come back to the area to visit.

Loved it!

We were extremely happy with everything about our stay here. Cozy and peaceful describe it perfectly. Close to so much but still private and my sister, niece and I felt very safe as well. The host was very nice and easy to communicate with. The extra little touches throughout the house were much appreciated. We will definitely be coming back!

This VRBO was the most wonderful place to stay for one night. It was super clean, super comfy and so beautifully decorated. It is a beautiful home and the host is very nice and provided everything i could possibly need. Highly recommend.

Perfect house

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This house is just a block from the Main Street which was very convenient. My kids enjoyed the park that was just a few yards away. The host was very helpful with all of our needs and we very much appreciated it. We will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful stay in Valdese!

This is a fantastic property in a great location. It is very well appointed and very comfortable. The decor is lovely, making it feel like home. Donna is a wonderful host going the extra mile with nice touches such as the coffee bar, snacks, water, toiletries, and board games to play. We really enjoyed having coffee on the front porch in the mornings listening to the birds. This property is in a quaint, quiet neighborhood and is walking distance to downtown Valdese. Highly recommend! We will be back!

Great place

Came to town for a quick overnight and wanted to stay in the community vs a hotel. House was very clean and comfortable. All questions answered quickly. I look forward to seeing more of the area and will definitely look at using the property again!

Very cute and thoughtful.

I really enjoyed staying at Donna's place. She was so thoughtful when asking if it would be okay to decorate for Christmas, and me and my friends both loved all of the decor. Donna wet out of her way to get me a gift and to provide fun NYE decs too. Highly recommend booking with Donna.

Most immaculate, well equipped and appointed vacation stays ever!

The small town of Valdese is cute and has some great things to see and do but this little bungalow is amazing! All the furnishings and appointments were clean, attractive and uncluttered. Everything felt brand new! Great snacks and water provided as well as thoughtful toiletrie additions in the bathroom. An easy 5star rating for sure!!

This property was exactly as advertised. Everything about it was great. Cleanliness is important to us. This house was very clean. Not only did Donna supply water and snacks, she had back up toothbrushes and toothpaste. So wonderful! Don’t hesitate to book this house.

Just right!

We needed somewhere to stay convenient to Comma in Morganton. My cousin was the lead in the show and we wanted to be there to cheer him on. I struggle to get a good night's sleep in most hotels, especially on weekends. Looking through VRBO this seemed too good to be true. Cheaper than a night in the Hampton Inn? But the listing is exactly what you get. Newly renovated, clean and everything you need. Comfortable beds and plenty of space. Quiet neighborhood setting but a quick drive to lots of thrift stores, parks and restaurants. It was cold but we could have walked to dinner. Morganton is convenient and adds to all the choices. Host quick to respond and has obviously put a lot of thought into everything provided.

Hi! My name is Donna and I am from the Hickory area. I lived several years and currently work in Valdese and fell in love with its hometown warmth and people. My work has always been in the hospitality field so hosting short terms rentals is Definity a love of mine.

Why they chose this property

As I mentioned in my bio, I've lived in and work here and it's hard to find the small town warmth and welcome like there is in Valdese. Valdese holds many annual festivals and activities where you an just walk downtown and enjoy it with no safety concerns.

Valdese is a quiet town and the home just has that home feel to it...like a home away from home. You can step out the front door and walk to many restaurants, the shops on Main Street, the year round pool across the street at the Rec Center and also the free Splash pad right by it.
