About the host
Hosted by Mike and Terri Simmons
We live in Beaverton, Oregon and have always loved to vacation in the Bend / Sunriver area. We like to kayak the Deschutes in the summer and watch wildlife from the deck at all times of the year. We have a big family and try to get them over to the Sunriver area a few times per year. Our five grandkids like to spend time at our vacation house and exploring the large property. They also like to visit the Sunriver village and the toy shop. We are excited to share our vacation home with people who enjoy the same interests that we do.
Why they chose this property
We chose the Three Rivers area because of the 2 plus acre home lots and the plentiful wildlife. We like to kayak with our family and the Deschutes river is 5 minutes away. The house is also close enough to Sunriver and Bend to enjoy the benefits, but you aren't as close to your neighbors. We made the right decision.
What makes this property unique
The property sits on 2 acres and you can barely see the neighbor's homes. Our house sits at the back of the property, and away from the road. You can still see the road and hear some traffic, but it is really quiet most of the time. The house is also one level, so it's great for older people who can't navigate a lot of stairs. The neighborhood elk herd is pretty special too. There is plentiful wildlife traveling through the property because the house sits near the edge of the Deschutes National Forest.
