About this property

Snuggle up in this cozy one level, 4 bedroom home on 2 acres, near Sunriver

This one level home is ideal for a long vacation, or quick weekend getaway with family or close friends. The house sits on a two-acre forested lot and is situated at the back of the property, away from the road and noise. The home is located at the edge of the Deschutes National Forest and is very close to the Deschutes, Little Deschutes and Fall rivers, and the area is known as “Three Rivers”. The house has a covered hot tub and two decks for your enjoyment. There are several different sitting areas setup around the property for viewing the plentiful wildlife, or quiet time reading a book. Sunriver Village is only a ten-minute drive away, with shopping, restaurants, and a small grocery store. There is a local elk herd that visits the property often with about 30 to 40 in the group. There are also plenty of deer, rabbits, squirrels, racoons, chipmunks, foxes and birds to keep you company, depending on the season.

The large master bedroom has its own full bathroom and a separate entrance on the south side of the property. The second bedroom has a queen bed that sleeps two and the third bedroom has a trundle bed that can easily be converted to a king. The bunk room has two full size bunk beds (full size beds, top and bottom bunks) with single trundle beds on the bottom that can be pulled out, sleeping up to six people comfortably. The bunk room has a pool table, a 55-inch television, a small couch, and is a perfect place for kids or adults. The living room has a queen couch hide-a-bed that sleeps two. All bedrooms, the living room, and the bunk room have televisions, 5 televisions in all. There is an 85-inch television in the living room for family viewing. There is a see-through propane fireplace in the living room that is see through to the entrance nook, along with electric wall heaters in every room. There is a propane fireplace in the living room and propane Weber grill on the deck to enhance your stay. Wi-Fi is available and is on satellite service. The service is good, but it does have bandwidth limitations if too many items are logged on at the same time. There are standing window air conditioners that we use in the summer months to keep the house cool. We have a new patio set on the north deck that was recently purchased, along with a propane fireplace table. We also recently installed all new top of the line Whirlpool appliances in the kitchen.

We purchased this house while looking for a vacation home for our family in the Sunriver area. We have been visiting the area for many years with our family and hope to retire here. We love that the house is on a two-acre lot and that it is set at the back of the property. Our neighbors’ houses directly at the back of the property are set toward the road on their side, so there is a lot of space between the houses. There is an empty forested lot on one side of the property and a neighbor on the other side. It is very quiet and peaceful most of the time. There are two ponds, one on each side of the property and they fill with water in the spring. They make good sledding hills in the winter and usually dry out by mid-summer. The wildlife uses them for drinking in the spring and the water eventually ends up in our well reservoir below. and the well water is primarily used for showering and doing dishes. The water from the well contains a lot of minerals and we have a water treatment system that removes it with salt, so the water tastes a little salty. We have a service that provides 5 gallon bottles of drinking water along with a cooling dispenser. The water from the well is safe to drink but we just don’t like the salty taste.. There is a small pond close to the hot tub that contains runoff from the water treatment system. This water is safe and clean. The house has a newer sand filtered septic system that was installed in 2021.

This house is perfect for people who like wildlife and getting away from other vacationers. There is so much to do in the area while here on on vacation that we can't possibly cover it all. . Depending on the season, you can site see, enjoy Sunriver resort, boat, visit the volcanic caldera, fish, kayak, hike, hunt, ski, snowboard, snowmobile, watch wildlife, relax, hot tub, dine out, barbeque, star gaze, play pool, go the shooting range, golf, etc. This house is the perfect “homebase” for a terrific family vacation. We hope that you will enjoy it as much as we do and treat it as if it was your own home. We will do our best to make sure your vacation is the best it can be and you can reach out to us anytime during your vacation.

We live in Beaverton, Oregon and have always loved to vacation in the Bend / Sunriver area. We like to kayak the Deschutes in the summer and watch wildlife from the deck at all times of the year. We have a big family and try to get them over to the Sunriver area a few times per year. Our five grandkids like to spend time at our vacation house and exploring the large property. They also like to visit the Sunriver village and the toy shop. We are excited to share our vacation home with people who enjoy the same interests that we do.

Why they chose this property

We chose the Three Rivers area because of the 2 plus acre home lots and the plentiful wildlife. We like to kayak with our family and the Deschutes river is 5 minutes away. The house is also close enough to Sunriver and Bend to enjoy the benefits, but you aren't as close to your neighbors. We made the right decision.

What makes this property unique

The property sits on 2 acres and you can barely see the neighbor's homes. Our house sits at the back of the property, and away from the road. You can still see the road and hear some traffic, but it is really quiet most of the time. The house is also one level, so it's great for older people who can't navigate a lot of stairs. The neighborhood elk herd is pretty special too. There is plentiful wildlife traveling through the property because the house sits near the edge of the Deschutes National Forest.
