2026 late spring and summer calendar will be available to reserve mid September

Summer 2025 will bring the small sandy beach back to the Stone Terrace Beach Cottage. The little ones will love to get their toes in the sand, build castles and enjoy evening wood burning bonfires ideal for s'mores. The cottage has a dock (May-late September) with sunning platform and access to the blue water. A fire pit is located on the sandy lawn overlooking the water as well as a firepit on the beach provided the water continues to recede.

Set on the beautiful eastern shore of Suttons Bay, allow Stone Terrace Beach Cottage to be your 'up north' home. Feel the sand and water of Suttons Bay right outside your door or enjoy a crackling fire in the wood burning fireplace. Stone Terrace Beach Cottage is available from Saturday to Saturday during the summer, and on a flexible schedule during the remainder of the year. Off season weekend rates are available (see rates below)...please call/email for details.

Situated on a quiet rural road, two and a half miles from the village of Suttons Bay, Stone Terrace Beach Cottage is the ideal vacation destination with casual beachy elegance in mind. The Stone Terrace Beach Cottage has 4 bedrooms with 2 1/2 baths (non are ensuite) , living room, dining room, and fully-equipped modern kitchen with upgraded stainless appliances and window AIR CONDITIONING on the main level and A/C splits for the upper 2 bedrooms!

The cottage accommodates a total of 8 guests utilizing the 4 queen bedrooms - A main level deck located off of the living room, provides a great place to take your morning coffee, and stone steps lead to the lower deck where one can sun bathe or catch up with a good read.

Out the back door is nature’s opportunity to walk, jog, bike, or weather permitting, cross country ski!! Nature abounds everywhere!! The quaint village of Suttons Bay, which plays host to great restaurants, boutique shopping, and art galleries, is just a short drive.

Nearby attractions include Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Leelanau Sands Casino, and the Interlochen Center for the Arts. Sprinkled throughout Leelanau County you will discover charming villages, wineries, antique dealers, and outdoor recreational opportunities, including access to Lake Michigan. Traverse City is just 20 minutes away, offering 'city style' entertainment for those so inclined.

Features include four bedrooms: two queen bedrooms are located on the lower level with a full bath between & two upper level bedrooms with the front sleeping room having a 1/2 bath: the third 3/4 bath (shower only) is off the kitchen and at the bottom of the stairs.

The Stone Terrace Beach Cottage boasts of 1800 square feet of nicely appointed living space with 2.5 bathrooms and 100 feet private sandy beach with a sunset view over the shallow swimming bay. Indoor fireplace and fire pit on the beach. Stainless appliances with granite kitchen, washer and dryer and starter paper products provided (but not replenished during guest visit).

Beautiful landscaping and furnished outdoor deck areas. Weber gas grill. Air conditioning, Wireless High Speed Internet and pets are accepted for a fee. Great walking, jogging, hiking out the back door. Village of Suttons Bay is two and a half miles away. All the amenities of home!

NOTE: The water level is receding and the beach area is unknown at press time - I have no idea the size of the beach, if any, after the winter thaw. The fire pit will be moved to the front lawn if the water level does not permit this to be on the beach.

We had a fantastic stay at the Stone Terrace Beach Cottage! The location is truly unbeatable, close to wineries and Sutton's Bay and the house itself is wonderful. Communication with the host, Tom, was seamless and easy from start to finish, which always makes a trip smoother.The layout is perfect for a group. We loved how spacious and comfortable the living and dining areas were. It was the ideal spot for everyone to gather, relax, and hang out. You can tell how much thought went into the home's design, which made us feel welcome and at home.We were able to watch a beautiful sunset from the dock, which was the perfect end to our day (after wine tasting!). We would absolutely recommend this property and hope to return!

The outdoor space is amazing. Having the terraces with different areas to sit and relax makes this unique among most rentals. The view is stunning, as are the sunsets. We were thrilled to be treated to the aurora borealis our first night there! My husband and I loved the peace and quiet. Our dog loved running back and forth in the backyard with her toy and even learned to like playing in the water. None of us wanted to leave. The house is nicely laid out and comfortable. Tom was helpful with any questions we had. We'll be back again for sure.
