About this property

'Spanish Peak' Cabin | Mountain Views | sauna/gym | 3 Miles To MSU/Downtown

Upon arrival our one-of-a-kind cozy guest cabins hearken back to their prior life as 8x20 hi-top shipping containers. We left many of the original details inside and out, not only for the hip factor but to pay homage to their once seaworthy roots. We strategically placed the two guest house containers [Bridger Peak Cabin & Spanish Peak Cabin] in one of the best locations on our 1-acre property. Nestled next to an Aspen grove while facing the Gallatin mountain range and an open preserve field where you can view wildlife year-round keeps you mesmerized with the beauty of Montana that abounds!

The interior of the guest cabin was created to be a workable space with flexible areas to store luggage under the bed and in the surrounding cabinetry. The stained flooring is original to the container creating a durable surface for the sometimes-unpredictable seasons Montana is known for. A queen-sized memory foam bed is flanked by large windows giving you front seat views of the mountains and wildlife that occasionally walk through the property. The bathroom is equipped with complimentary Shampoo/Conditioner, bodywash, and blow dryer along with bath towels, wash clothes, hand towels, and toilet paper. In the kitchenette there is everything you need to cook a small meal. Provided inside the unit is a convection hotplate, microwave, small refrigerator, dishes, cast iron pan, silverware/serving utensils, Coffee press, electric water kettle, spices, and other assorted items. Outside each unit has an outdoor camp kitchen outfitted with a 3-burner “Camp Chef” cooktop and small fire pit with chairs to enjoy the epic Montana nights.

[Side Note: If you are traveling with another couple and would like to inquire about the other cabin’s availability, please message us. If your party is 3-4 couples then drop us a message about the availability of renting both cabins and the main house together.]

Spartan Race weekend
My wife and I stayed here for a weekend we competed in a Spartan Race in Bozeman. The place was everything we expected. We used the gym, sauna, and cold plunge, which were all amazing! One note was that when we showed up the grass was very long due to the wet spring Bozeman was having. However, I texted the property owners and they sent someone out to cut it immediately. They were very accommodating and responsive to any questions we had during our stay. I would recommend this place every single time!

"The property was such a great home base for our Montana adventures for the week..."
The Granary was the perfect place for my wife and I's Bozeman getaway! We rented one of the "tiny home" guest houses on the property and were so happy with the experience. It was the perfect blend of minimalist living in a beautiful setting while still meeting every one of our needs. The property was such a great home base for our Montana adventures for the week (skiing Big Sky & Bridger Bowl, hot springs, exploring downtown Bozeman). The sauna / dojo was an awesome touch as well. Definitely stay here if you have the chance!

Hello! We are so thankful you found us and look forward to being your hosts! A little history about us and the "why" behind The Granary property... We met at 19 years old and married at 21 and have been blessed with two kids and grandkids. Much of what we do surrounds a common thread God has strategically woven into every aspect of our life—love the unlovely, embolden to be fearless, and challenge people to live courageously. We come from humble beginnings and have worked together for over two decades building a dog training and behavioral facility keeping us entertained on most days. In our spare time you can find us zipping around two up on two wheels, hunting, riding horses, swing dancing to a country song, exercising, traveling, spending time with friends or discipling people & marriages. We found our greatest calling to be with couples whose relationships have deteriorated over time causing a lack of intimacy whether it be from the busyness of kids and life or other stressors; our mission has been to press into those areas, awaken a new invigorating desire for one another, and rekindle connection. Our hope for you is that you relax and enjoy your time away whether it be with a loved one or in solitude as you recharge while taking in the beauty of all that Montana has to offer.-- Ryan + Meegan

Why they chose this property

Our Montana journey began with a bit of divine serendipity in 2013 for our 20-year anniversary when we were supposed to be in Mexico and the hurricanes hit causing us to pivot and land in Bozeman instead. The beginning of “The Granary” property, unbeknownst to us, started over two decades ago when we found ourselves discipling other marriages through their trials and realized the common denominator was lack of connection. Five years later In October of 2018 we found this property and a year later began the journey of building a couples retreat for marriages to reconnect, restore, refocus, and relax. For us Montana was love at first sight and salve to our souls with the jaw dropping mountain ranges, plains for miles, majestic wildlife, vibrant sunsets and rises, and the grandest Big Sky starry night shows that captured our hearts and continues to call us back year after year.

Our cornerstone for designing The Granary property main house and two shipping container cabins was to nurture relationship through togetherness whether it be connecting with the captivating views of nature out every window surrounding you, fellowshipping around the large kitchen island in the main house, cozying up in the small shipping container cabin, or sitting outside listening to the chatter of Aspen leaves whisper in a gentle breeze. There is an unspoken healing peace here yet invigorating raw adventure that lures you deeper into all this slice of heaven has to offer and if you happen to be there on a snowy day as the flakes drop delicately to the ground and all of creation seems to be at a standstill, listen carefully, you just might hear the roar of Aslan in the distance as Narnia comes to life.

We are so excited to be sharing this magical experience with you!

What makes this property unique

On vacation we are always seeking a place to work out and hot sauna. So, we decided it was a necessary luxury for The Granary property and our guests too. We reconstructed the only standing structure, a loaving shed, that stood on the property creating what we have termed “The Dojo.” Keeping with the theme of The Granary we have created an outside in feeling with glass doors and a window in the sauna to view the outdoors as you get your sweat on.

The gym and Sauna [The Dojo] are shared spaces with other guests. It is a compact space so please be respectful and keep your area clean and the equipment organized.
