The Gooding University Inn, the old Gooding College building, is full of history and makes an excellent getaway for 1 person to large reunions. This is not a "cookie cutter" stay, the facility is unique and is full of charm. It was abandoned and neglected for many years and is now being remodeled and updated. There is a lot of work done, but it is "a work in progress", if you are looking for a Marriott like facility this is not it. The environment is open and rustic, with large hallways and rooms and some parts of the building needing finishing touches. We know you will enjoy making treasured memories with us.
This beautiful historic building was the Gooding College, built in 1920. It has been restored/modernized and makes a wonderful getaway for family get-togethers and other events.
West Wing: The west has 15 bedrooms (each sleeps 2-8 people), 9 bathrooms, and a fully remodeled/modernized kitchen, dining room, game room and more . Currently we have beds for over 60 people, plus cribs and portable playpens. Gooding City of Rocks Gooding City of Rocks is an area of unusual and highly scenic rock formations. Erosion has carved fascinating spires and hoodoos from the underlying deposits of solidified volcanic ash. Excellent hiking, sightseeing and solitude. About 15 miles north of Gooding on Highway 46, turn west at the BLM sign for Little City of Rocks. Follow the signs and travel about 7.5 miles on a generally well-maintained dirt road, which is suitable for passenger vehicles if conditions are dry. For more about the geology of Gooding City of the Rocks
Malad Gorge The Malad River Canyon is 250 feet deep and 2.5 miles long. At Malad Gorge State Park, located right off Interstate 84, you can view the canyon and walk along the rim. The highway crosses over Malad Gorge, but the angle of view hides the deep gorge where the river cascades into Devil's Washbowl. Views of the gorge are best from the slender-but sturdy-bridge that arcs across the canyon.
Niagra Springs & Thousand Springs State Park The churning, icy blue glacial water is a National Natural Landmark and part of the world-famous Thousand Springs complex along the Snake River. The park provides a great opportunity to drive into the 350-foot-deep Snake River Canyon. Once inside the canyon, you'll find year-round fishing in Crystal Springs Lake, including a handicap accessible site. Waterfowl and other wildlife are abundant.

Loved everything about our stay! We had 40 women join us for our annual retreat and they all had an amazing time. We love the homey feel that we find here. We’ll be back next year!
We had our family reunion here and loved it! We loved that we all got to stay in a central location and spend lots of time together! They had lots to do for everyone of all ages! We would love to stay there again.
We had a great time at the Inn. There was plenty of space for our reunion. The owners were wonderful and very responsive to any questions or needs we had.
We had a great stay. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space, but still be together. We found lots of things to keep us entertained and the owners were easy to work with.
We had a wedding in Gooding and this location allowed all the family, friends and wedding party to all stay in one location. The owners were extremely responsive and accommodated our needs!
Check-in was quite easy, and the facilities were incredibly spacious. It really was the perfect size for our 50 family member reunion. Definitely not luxurious, definitely not fancy. But the dining space and the kitchen space were excellent, the game room and play area is downstairs were perfect for us, and we had all the rooms we needed. In that sense, it was a perfect pick for us.
This is the second time we have hosted our family reunion here. Lots to do in the area and the house has everything needed to accommodate a large group. The owners are super sweet and easy to work with.
Utterly Amazing!
Hosts were incredilby acomadating!
Check in was a Breeze!
Worked with us to make the trip magical!
Site was absolulety PERFECT for our needs!
We had a great time! All of the toys throughout the building were awesome, our kids really enjoyed it. The kitchen was very useful -- making waffles for everyone was simplified by having four waffle makers and a kitchenaid mixer.
This place is excellent for large groups!

Reunion
Large facilities for big gathering. Plenty of room for everyone. Cleanliness/upkeep of property could be improved but everyone enjoyed their stay and we were able to cook and visit for 3 days in a central location.
We rented the Inn for my daughter’s 16th birthday because she loves all things haunted. It’s a charming place with all the comforts of home. Rooms are comfortable, beautifully decorated, and everything was super clean. We’re already thinking of events that would give us a reason to go back!
We had a family gathering over Thanksgiving. It was perfect for our large family with lots of little guys. So much room to spread out. Lana is great to work with! Definitely a place we would go back to.
We enjoyed our stay especially for the fact that there were bedrooms for everyone. The host responded immediately to questions and was helpful & considerate. No encounters with ghosts but we will be back to try again. A unique experience!
We had 49 people ranging from babies to great grandparents. This was a great space. We loved that the bedrooms were on the second floor so the teenagers could be loud in the basement and not wake the babies and young kids 2 floors up. The kitchen was well stocked.
There was so much to do!! We really loved that we could all be in the same location, have a dining area that sat all of us. The property accommodations made it possible for us to spend ample time together. We had 27 at one time during the 5-6 days we were there. We were missing 18 who couldn't make it. Even if everyone has come we would still have had plenty of room. It was old, bathroom upstairs didn't have venting so it smelled a little musty, and the floors were loud and creaky, but it was an awesome time had by all! Air conditioning in every room, and the hosts were amazing!
We had a GREAT time!! The space was perfect for our family get together of 32 ranging from ages 2-84yrs young. With lots of room to spare.
The owners were prompt with their communication when we had questions. We would recommend this place to everyone. Memories were made and lots of fun was had. We will be returning.
We had a family reunion with 75 people. We rented both wings and had more than enough room. Super well equipped: bedding and towels for everyone, toys for the kids, roasting skewers at the fire pit, every kitchen item imaginable for cooking for a big crew, multiple high chairs. Seriously, very well thought out for a big family group. Lots of big areas to play indoors and out. They even rent some bounce houses for an extra fee. Very good option for a big family reunion.
Lots of family-friendly space. Not fancy, but homey and comfortable. Plenty of lounging areas, play areas and gathering places. From the game and theater rooms downstairs, to the kitchen/living areas, there was something for everyone. Kitchen has 3 refrigerators and two ovens, so cooking for a crowd is not a problem. And with all the bedrooms and bathrooms, everyone had their own space as well. Our adult kids kept saying we need to come back. Definitely recommend.
