An overall poor experience. It's interesting that my concerns mirror lots of other past reviews/comments from people who have stayed here. However, after reading the responses from the owner I have a feeling the owners will be dismissive of my comments instead of taking them to heart. 1) Arrival - we shared the same concerns as a previous review. We drove around in circles trying to find the location. We did arrive around 9pm and it's impossible to read the building numbers which are not lite up and don't pop against the building. VRBO communication states we will receive detailed instructions but I didn't see any thing that showed which building.

To clarify what actually occurred: you docked us for something we were not made aware of regarding needing assistance with check-in. We are confused as to why this resulted in a 4/10 rating, especially since we responded promptly to every message you did send. We would have gladly assisted with check-in had you reached out.
Our welcome guide with step-by-step photos is provided 72 hours before check-in via email and is also available through the app. We are aware guests arrive at all hours, and given the close proximity of the unit to the main gate and the clarity of the directions, there is no need to search for a building number in the dark. The instructions are designed to prevent this exact issue.
Lastly, your claim that multiple reviews mention this is inaccurate, as most guests highlight our communication and again, we cannot resolve anything if we are not informed. A low rating based on something that was never communicated and not related to the actual property does not reflect an accurate review.

We enjoyed our stay, The Apartment is in a perfect location for what we needed. We would definitely stay here in the future!
Its a nice little spot if youre tryna see a cards game. Had cousins from L.A. to see the rams vs cards. And the walk was a breeeze. Even when they block off roads it was still easy to get in and out of the area. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and had everything we needed. Thank you again
Very clean and comfortable.. property was kept in good condition.. pool and workout room a plus.If I ever return to the area I would stay again..you won’t be disappointed…also the location was perfect.
Property is clean and as described in the listing. It is in a great location for any events at the stadium or arena. Host is vey communicative and responsive when I had any questions. We did not use any of the amenities while we were visiting, but the host provided all the necessary information to access the condo amenities should we have wanted to use them.
This place is amazing and pretty quiet, definitely recommend it for anyone who goes to gym too, there’s definitely a decent size gym there and the pool is pretty good, definitely need it a clean up there too
Very nicely decorated and clean. Great location near shopping and restaurants. Host was quick to help with any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again.
Bedding was a joke. We stayed during the winter season, and all the blankets were light-weight summer coverings. No top sheets were provided either. The host did bring extra warm blankets the next day after I nNecessities were all bare minimum. Minimum amount of towels (two bath towels, one hand/face towel, and a few small wash cloths per bathroom), minimum amount of hangers in each closet, they provide you exactly ONE extra toilet paper roll per bathroom. The thermostat is locked, so you have to contact the host to adjust the temperature in the unit, and you will be charged extra if you want to go lower than 75 degrees.

We’d like to clarify a few points for future guests. Our listing clearly discloses that top sheets are not provided and explains our thermostat policy. During your stay, we discussed the temperature, and you confirmed you did not want it adjusted as you don’t like heaters but rather blankets. This contradicts your comment.
When you requested additional blankets and supplies, we promptly delivered them, and you again confirmed everything was sufficient. You had a total of 5 queen blankets, 1 king, 8 rolls, and 16 towels. Yet all additional items we brought ultimately went unused.
All concerns raised during your stay were addressed in real time. Despite our efforts and your confirmations, it appears you were somehow still unsatisfied.
We were only in town for the weekend. Nice and convenient to the 101. Relaxing time.

Extremely poor communication when time was of the essence. I contacted the host for three days by message and phone, but received no response. Just before my stay I received a generic welcome message regarding my stay, but still no response to my original question. I responded with my original question. After that the host responded that it was too near my stay to consider a cancellation. I feel that if the host had responded in a timely matter we may have been able to resolve the situation. After letting them know I would not be able to make the reservation I continued to receive generic messages that didn't apply to my situation.
This property was so central to everything we were doing this week. Communication with property manager was amazing.

Hi Barbara, we’re disheartened by your very inaccurate and misleading review. Our unit is fully stocked for up to four guests, and your reservation was for only two. There are two extra blankets in the closet — we always provide extras, even during the summer months. It seems you may have overlooked them. The Wi-Fi was fully functional (we’re notified of any outages through our system), and the fob lockbox code was verified to be correct before and after your stay, so this was due to user error.
We’ve perfected our check-in guide — especially for our late arrivals — with clear, step-by-step instructions and photos to make the process simple. We’re unsure how you spent “15 minutes” driving around, and again, you never contacted us for assistance at any point during your stay. We always encourage guests to reach out if they need anything rather than posting inaccurate complaints after checkout.
Our goal is always to provide a smooth and comfortable experience for every guest — as reflected in our many positive reviews — and we stand by the accuracy and quality of our listing.

We have been in the hospitality business for 5 years, our beds are always prepared with sheets and blankets, with extras readily available. You did not request anything during your stay.
The water heater was found to be in working order. Had we been informed of any issues, we would have resolved them immediately.
The Condo is in a great location to Camelback Ranch, State Farm Stadium, and Desert Diamond Arena. Westgate Entertainment is easily walkable and offers several restaurants and bars. The gourmet kitchen had a small set of pots and pans with lids and a tea pot. Pictured on the counter tops is a blender, coffee maker, and a toaster in the cupboard. There is a mix set of dishes for 7 people. There are no mixing bowls, serving dishes, or bakeware of any kind. It was difficult to fix much for our family. The king bed had a very light weight blanket, luckily there was a slightly heavier one in the closet. The queen bed had a single light weight comforter. There was a throw on the couch that we used. The furniture is not high class, the couch is slightly matted and dingy. The dining area chairs are flimsy and loose, and the king bed frame was very wobbly and squeaked.Bring ear plugs for sleeping, the people above us were up most of the night and very loud. There were also people out in the courtyard till 1 am.

Although to clarify, our listing is accurately described and fits the needs for the number of guests we can host. Nowhere do we advertise a “gourmet” kitchen, yet we still offer many essentials that most hotels don’t at a fair price.
Arizona’s climate plays a role in our bedding choices, and additional blankets were available in the closet for your comfort. We have inspected our furniture after your check-out and have found everything to be in proper working order.
Regarding noise, we enforce quiet hours, but we can’t fix a problem we aren’t made aware of. Instead of leaving a review filled with complaints after the fact, we encourage guests to communicate with us in real time so we can happily assist.

2 stars for being clean, spacious, and a good location but that’s it. This is advertised as “luxury and upscale” and neither of these are an accurate description. Cheap furniture, foam padding on bed (same kind we have on our travel trailer bed), nicks and dings everywhere, a broken kitchen faucet, scratched tv, fiberglass overlay in tub has gaping holes (peeling off from original tub) does not meet my definition of luxury or upscale. It was very disappointing as the rental company sent very clear instructions on how they would charge us for any damage and that we needed to keep care of the unit, yet they have failed to provide a nice unit for their renters. I understand that previous renters may have caused damaged, but it is then the rental company’s responsibility to fix these items for the future renters and/or communicate to a renter that something is damaged and a repair has been requested, so that we are not surprised by this when we enter the unit and we don’t have to worry about them thinking we caused the damage. Oh, and we did not get the door code to get into the unit until after check-in time. When these items were addressed, we received no apologizes and was told everything was still useable and the place was as advertised. We will have to agree to disagree on that. Needless to say, we will not stay here again when they are so many options in the same area.

We’re disappointed by the exaggerated and misleading review you left.
To clarify: the tub does not contain fiberglass, nor is there any “gaping hole.” There’s a minor peel on the edge — strictly cosmetic, with no impact on use. If it were as severe as claimed, we wouldn’t have had multiple guests, including yourself, use it without issue.
The mattress is a standard one with a common foam topper to enhance comfort — not a replacement. The faucet was fully functional, you insisted drinking from the sink even though we never advertised a filtration system.
As for the “damages,” a light scratch on the TV does not affect its performance and doesn’t warrant full replacement. If we swapped every item with wear and tear from guests, costs would be unnecessarily high.
You received your check-in code at the scheduled time. Declining to pay for early access was your choice — not a service failure.
We pride ourselves on providing a clean, spacious, and well-located home — all of which you acknowledged. Creating a dramatic narrative based on personal preferences only undermines honest and helpful feedback.
