Looking for a cabin to stay with your family or need a central spot for your NH summer vacation or want a place for an Owls Nest wedding you’ve found it Our comfortable cabin is located in Thornton, NH between Exit 29 and Exit 30 on I-93 in a quiet town situated between Woodstock and Plymouth. We are just 3 1/2 miles from Exit 29 north and about the same from Exit 30 coming south. The cabin has 2 bedrooms and 2 lofts and comfortably sleeps 8-10. Master bath has a jetted tub, separate shower, and double vanity.

All beds are pillow top & very comfortable. All linens for beds provided as well as a fully stocked kitchen. Separate propane stove for added comfort in the large living room with seating for 8. Off street parking for up to 4 cars. There are many board games, dart board, shuffleboard, a large expandable kitchen table and an ample downstairs area for storage of hiking equipment.

Smart TV and free internet for operating your own subscriptions.

Hiking is close too. Welch Dickey, Smarts Brook, Peeked Hill are within 2-5 miles. You can also drive 10-15 minutes to Lincoln where Loon is and hike Lincoln Woods and more in Franconia Notch and do the Basin/Cascade Trail, Bald Mountain, Artists Bluff, Flume Gorge, Lonesome Lake, which is 20 minutes to get to several more hikes in Lincoln, North Woodstock and Rumney. We've done them all and can advise you the best ones for your family based on ages and what you are looking for. This is really great central location to many famous White Mountain hiking in the Franconia ridge area and 4000 footers if you want that level.

The rental was perfect! Close to the mountain and so clean. Gary and Lisa were super responsive, allowing a later checkout because of the snowstorm and had the driveway cleared in plenty of time. They even helped to clean of the cars. Would definitely stay again if going back to Loon!

Perfect spot for a couple or a family

This is our first time staying in this lovely cabin but it won't be our last!! We found this home through VRBO and would highly recommend you consider this sweet cabin. It is very clean, has a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, plenty of room to relax and stretch out after a full day of skiing or snowshoeing, snowmobiling, etc. Lots of great restaurants close by and the owner is very accessible if needed. You can't go wrong with this rental for a couple or a family. We will be heading back very soon.

Great cabin. beautifully decorated. Very clean and neat. In a very rural area. about 30 min. to skiing. The hosts are very thoughtful, leaving plenty of supplies and a book of instructions and info about shopping, and restaurants.

My wife and I are originally from Eastern CT. We fell in love with the charm of the White Mountains after visiting with dear friends. So much so, that we decided to make our stays more permanent by building our own NH cabin. After many friends and family visited the area and fell in love with the charm as quickly as we did, we knew we had to take the opportunity to share it with more. We truly believe that the White Mountains are all seasons friendly. We hope you enjoy your stay in our cozy cabin and decide to come back to experience the magic of all four seasons.

Why they chose this property

The neighborhood is quiet but so close to everything the White Mountains has to offer. Nice walking area on our gravel roads for miles to enjoy the peace and solitude. Yet, only 3 miles from I-93 providing easy access to popular hiking trails, ski mountains, rivers and lakes.

What makes this property unique

If you are looking for a short or long term stay in a real log cabin with appropriate furnishing, this is it. Tastefully decorated like it was our full-time place with everything you need to drop in and be immediately comfortable and need nothing. Great for a family or 2-3 couples to be here on vacation skiing, hiking or snowmobiling.
