We booked this property to host a Cousins Weekend/Reunion. We loved that the house was big enough to accommodate all 9 of us and not feel like we were crowding each other. We loved the recreation area in the basement. The master was big enough for the girls to have a sleepover in one room, while the boys enjoed the basement. This was also a nice neighborhood and it wasnt far from lots of stores and restaurants at Camp Creek Marketplace.
I recently stayed at this house and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I feel compelled to share my feedback to alert potential renters about the numerous issues we encountered during our stay.
Washing Machine and Amenities:
Upon arrival, we discovered the washing machine half full of water, indicating a lack of attention to cleanliness.
Showers lacked basic amenities such as shampoo, and the kitchen was ill-equipped with essentials like a kettle, ladle, cutting board, and sufficient plates.
Unhygienic Conditions:
Stains on the couch in the upstairs suite were both unsightly and unsanitary, rendering the seating unusable.
The main floor bedroom was not properly vacuumed, and the living room couch was covered in a pile of hair which was disgusting.
Heating Problems:
Heating issues prevented us from using the basement, including amenities like the pool and cinema setup.
The homeowner's attempt to address the problem with portable heaters proved ineffective, and the timing of their visit, accompanied by a technician at 8:30 am, disrupted our vacation experience.
Despite an agreement for a 30% refund due to the inconvenience, the owner has been unresponsive to our messages, leaving the matter unresolved.
In summary, the overall condition of the house, coupled with the lack of responsiveness from the owner/property manager, made our stay unpleasant and disappointing. I strongly advise against renting this property for your vacation. ( Me and 9 friends )

It's very unfortunate that such a false review would be submitted given the nature of the actual events that took place are documented with text and photos. However, I will address the review point for point. 1.) The property is professionally cleaned before and after each guest visit. All rooms have multiple sets of linens to ensure fresh/clean linens are provided at each turn. Cleanliness- The guest complained of hair and spots on the master bedroom couch. This is quite unfortunate that they would stoop this low but Ill call it for what it is. This guest or one of their companions pleasured themselves on the couch them attempted to pass it off as if someone prior to the did it. I took a photo while I was there, of the area where someone was obviously sleeping (lotion and towel can be seen in the photo). Disgusting...!!! Yes I disgraded those items and had the couch steam cleaned after their visit. The washer is then turned to self clean which the guest disturbed upon arrival ( water in the washer). While I try to accommodate the needs of all guests (shampoo) is an item most guests have personal preferences for. Kitchen essentials the kitchen is equipped with brand new pot/pan sets, silverware, cups, plates, wine glasses, new keurig and other dishes for the number of AUTHORIZED GUESTS 10. This group despite their allegations of being uncomfortable exceeded the number of authorized guests on multiple days throughout their stay. They even had guests sleeping on blankets on the floor in rooms without beds. The booking party Talha did not even stay at the property which is a violation of platform policy. 80 percent of the communication was done via third party and by way of text despite my informing them communication needed to be through the application multiple times. During their stay a third party contacted me regarding the heat in the home. I responded within 15mins of the communication. The thermostats are Google Nest smart thermostats that notify of ANY issues with the system none were reported. There are three systems in the house one for each level. We were also experiencing an unprecedented cold snap in the area at the time with temperatures between 9° and 25°. The third party REQUESTED that I come to the property to address their concerns. In attempt to accommodate them I did so, bought portable heaters, firewood and scheduled a service tech to come out so that they had peace of mind a resolution was being sought. They were perfectly fine with this as I am not a heating and cooling expert. However, while there I measured the temperatures in every area of the home. The lowest temperature was 68° in the basement, 74° on the main level accounting for the 36 large glass windows on that floor and 78° of the top floor bedroom level. The guests had not idea as to how to read the thermostats or how they worked and kept placing them in eco mode. Adjusted them and was informed that the temperatures achieved a satisfactory level. I then received another third party communication that they were still unhappy with the temperatures I returned to the property as discussed with the service tech. We found the thermostats again had been placed in eco mode. That was again corrected. The tech informed myself and the guest there were no issues with the system. He also changed the filter to optimize functionality. The bottom line is the guest broke VRBO rules, fabricated a basis for dispute that cost me money, and then attempted to demand a refund after I still tried to accommodate them. They also have poor reviews before their stay at my home. Additionally, the third party that was doing the majority of the communication was combative my communication with Tahla though limited was fairly pleasant. Tahla obviously could not have written this review as he knows the level of documentation I have. They were also given an opportunity to vacate the home when they initially presented their concerns about the heat and chose not to.
