Wonderful beach retreat close to great restaurants and cafes

We spent 10 wonderful days at Jan's place, within walking distance of Falesia beach and just minutes from a great range of really reasonably priced cafes and restaurants. Jan's communication was great throughout, very fast to respond and always helpful.

Great Holiday

We had a great time in the house. It is spacious, clean, well equipped, with a really nice swimming pool. The location is excellent - you can walk everywhere, with plenty of choice for food and drink. Thanks for a great holiday.

Great stay at Jan’s villa

Jan’s villa was an excellent base for our trip and is highly recommended. The locations was extremely convenient with easy access to the beach, a shop, multiple restaurants. It was also easy to visit Albufeira and was close to the airport. The pool was warm and air conditioning was very efficient. The house was well appointed and very clean.

Roomy and airy

This was a great villa for our stay in late winter. I imagine it would be absolutely amazing in summer. Lots of space to hang out in small groups or dine together with the family or friends. The location is very nice. Seems to be a reasonably quiet area that is not far from more active boating/beach areas.

Away from the hustle & bustle

We had a great stay away from the hustle in Albufiera but not in a remote place - all the amenities we needed were on the door step. we could have a meal and a drink with out having to drive - Beach was only minutes away and not overcrowded. Villa was really lovely though we lived mainly around the lovely pool area! Central for all the larger resorts too!

Property is big and has everything you would need. Pool is brilliant with all day sun and not too overlooked. Having stayed at a few different villas around the Algarve this has definitely been the best one to date. The location was Excellent, everything is close by, 2 min walk to a well stocked supermarket, various bars and restaurant the same distance, 10 mins walk to a beautiful beech (worth a mention was bit of a hill and quite a few steps down onto the beech). Ubers were never more than 5 mins away if we wanted a change of scenery,15 mins to Albufeira old town. Couldn't fault anything we will be coming back again, great holiday.

I stumbled on the resort of Falesia which I’m so pleased I did. The area is beautiful with a very local feel to it. The villa was spacious and the pool an absolute dream where many a day was had lounging by it. The kitchen was a bit tired and would benefit from a refresh. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would definitely return to Falesia.

Overall wonderful time at Villa Doura 2. Beautiful outdoors area. Really enjoyed grilling outdoors and swimming in the pool. Short walk to the beach. Excellent convenience supermarket next door food options and tours agency all within 5 minutes walk or less. Jan was super responsive. The housekeeper only speaks Portuguese but we were able to communicate fine.

We stayed at Jan's house in the off-season. So, a bit of rain and ever changing weather. Wifi did not work during our stay - but Jan is seeing to that for future guests.

Great pool in Albufeira

The property does not look like the photos except for the pool. Location is quiet with good restaurants within short walking distance. However, property is tired and in need of a facelift at least by our standards. We noticed mold on some walls, blistered paint, dryer did not work very well and AC system worked in most rooms but not all.

Fantastic property

The property is spacious and stunning. Outside areas including pool amazing. Located close to beach and very close to supermarket, restaurants and bars. A charming area. Plenty to keep you occupied on a relaxing break but if you want bright lights and nightlife maybe go to Albufeira which is a short shuttle drive away easily booked at the tourist information office across the road. I hope to come back in the future.

Portuguese excellence

Sadly my husband and I were unable to fly to Portugal due to injury in the UK. The rest of the party thought that the villa was superb from the swimming pool, airy living area to the well appointed bed rooms.
