This newly-built mini-cottage is located on the banks of the Jacques-Cartier River. With a capacity of 6 travelers, you'll be comfortable here. The calm surroundings are ideal for sharing, gathering and unforgettable moments. Every visitor will have the feeling that time has stopped right there, for the duration of their stay.
Just 30 minutes from the city, and just minutes from many resort attractions, you can easily discover the city and enjoy the great outdoors, all in the same day! Whether it's a visit to Village Vacances Valcartier, a rafting trip or a stroll through Old Quebec, your days will be filled!
There's everything you need for a comfortable stay on a site surrounded by nature:
- 🛏️ Sleeping accommodation: sleeps 6; there are 2 queen beds and 2 single beds. Bedding is provided.
- 🍴Kitchenette: to prepare a small meal, you can use a hotplate as well as a microwave. You have access to cooking equipment; utensils, plates, cauldrons, etc. A small refrigerator is also at your disposal.
- 🚰 Running water, toilets and showers: in the sanitary block which is located opposite to the cottage and only a few steps away, you have access to running and drinking water; sinks, toilets and payable shower cabinets. To use the latter, it costs $1 for 3 minutes of use (make sure you have only $1 coins). Please bring your own towels.
We also recommend a flashlight for evening strolls.

The village of St-Gabriel-de-Valcartier offers all the essential markets where you can be provided with your daily necessities and Quebec City is within easy reach, just a 30-minute drive away, for your more festive outings!
Accessible by car, you can easily drive to Old Quebec in less than 40 minutes. In addition, you'll be just a few minutes away from the legendary Village Vacances Valcartier, a tourist attraction offering indoor (Bora Parc) and outdoor waterslides in summer, and snow tubing in winter. Also, within a few minutes' drive, you can take advantage of numerous resort experiences, such as a day at Le Castor golf course, a visit to the Hôtel de Glace, a rafting experience, or a day at the magnificent Aroma Spa. The Valcartier military base is also accessible to visitors, via the Le Castor center.
Public transport isn't served in this area, but the city's Taxi services get you there easily.
🤝 The mini-cottage is located on the Vallée Jeunesse site; a non-profit organization dedicated to helping young people with academic and/or social adjustment difficulties. When you rent a dome, a cottage or a house, you help this organization finance its mission: to give hope to young people in difficulty, confidence in their skills, in their future! Like a resort, the La Vallée site features several other houses and cottages, gathering places and access to the Jacques-Cartier River.

La fiche d’information mentionne une salle de bain alors que c’est complètement faux. Il s’agit de petites cabines toute neuves bien propre car elles sont neufs mais il n’y a pas d’eau ni d’installation solitaire à l’intérieur. Il y a un bloc sanitaire communautaire pour tous les petites cabines comme un peu dans un camping. Donc en hiver, vous devez sortir de votre chalet et marcher dans la neige ou sur la glace pour aller à la toilette. Par ailleurs, une des deux toilettes pour les hommes étaient complètement démantibuler hors de service, et l’autre était condamné à notre arrivée, si bien que les hommes devaient aller à la toilette des femmes. Le Wiifi fonctionne, mais minimalement la bande passante, ne semble pas suffisante pour toutes les unités. Le signal cellulaire 5G est très faible, pratiquement non fonctionnel.
