Bright And Spacious Haven - direct beach access and spectacular shoreline views

This 2nd floor beach front property has a large balcony offering beautiful vistas of the entire coast line. If you are looking for a haven from the city - this is ideally suited to you and your children 6years or older. Two adult beach passes are included for daily beach activity.

The apartment is fully furnished with 2 bedrooms with a queen and single bed in each as well as a sofa bed. It has one full bathroom as well as an outdoor shower room. The property is complete with fully fitted eat-in kitchen, 4 burner stove and oven, refrigerator and freezer, microwave and coffee maker. There is a bright open plan living and dining area that opens to a large upper level balcony with views of the entire coastline! The views are spectacular from the living area and adjacent balcony, and watching nightime fireworks is a special treat on holiday weekends!

In Bradley Beach there is always boardwalk activity: Swimming, Beach volleyball, biking, rollerblading, beach combing, kite flying, salt water surf fishing, and you can sign up for surfing lessons right across the street on the boardwalk!. The mini golf and play ground are directly across the street, and there are outdoor concerts at the gazebo, with bocci ball courts only a couple of blocks away. In addition, Bradley Beach has an excellent 24 hour fitness center, as well as ice cream shop and excellent restaurants

There are many wonderful restaurants along the Asbury Park boardwalk, which is a 5-10 minute walk north, starting from the Bradley Beach boardwalk. The pinball museum on Asbury Park boardwalk is great fun for all ages! While Bradley Beach is primarily for families, Asbury Park offers adult night life, and of course its well known music scene.
Movie theaters and restaurants are also plentiful in the area, and Point Pleasant Amusement Park & rides is a 20 minute drive or train ride.

The train station is less than a mile away, and NJ transit (from New York City) will take you to Point Pleasant Amusement Park also in about 20minutes and drops you off about 3 blocks from the entrance to the boardwalk! Of course, you can train into NY City in about an hour and a half.
For an automobile outing, Six Flags Great Adventure (rated number 2 theme park in the country after Disney) is about a 30 minute drive, in Jackson, NJ. It has a water park and an African Safari as well as rides and carnival games.

Great family vacation

Our family stayed here and it was perfect. The view from the balcony is beautiful. The beach/boardwalk is right across the street! It was the cleanest beach we have ever been to. There is a playground and putt-putt golf that is on the boardwalk right across from the house. The house itself is darling and the landlord was so accommodating. She helped us with planning our visit to NYC and informed us of other attractions to visit while we were there. We will definitely be vacationing here again.

Great location but house was very old and needs many upgrades

Window ac units were very loud. Took 2 days for refrigerator to get cold, then was not cold enough to feel comfortable that food was safe. Doors did not close properly. Deck had missing and loose rails. Definately feel this place was way overpriced for the condition of the rental. I usually go to a condo in ocean city Maryland that is much nicer, has a pool, a nice large kitchen, a washer and dryer and is only a block from the beach. That place is just a little more than half the price I paid for this one. The walk to the beach is only half what I have in OC. Pictures and description is very deceiving. It is ocean front but not on the beach. You have to pay to get on the beach if there are more than 2 adults over 12. There are no closets to speak of. It was fairly clean and not terrible, just overall not what I expected or am use to.

II’m so sorry my Jersey shore beach house did not compare to your Maryland rental. Northern New Jersey housing is more expensive because it is close to NYC, to the airports, and with a direct train line from NYC down to the shore. New Jersey beach goers do have to pay for access to the beaches, but the badges you needed came with the house so you would be prepared to just walk across the street and onto the beach. There are no houses built on the beach, so this ocean front house is as close to the ocean as you can get in Bradley Beach, as in nearly all New Jersey shore towns. Condo development like that in Maryland is just not common along the Jersey shore, so our typical Jersey beach house appeals to those who want the unique charms of these older homes (which does mean smaller closets!) I’m truly sorry you did not find those charms so appealing, but you still have every right to expect all the amenities to work properly. The contractors who were putting on the new siding (and just leaving as you arrived) did damage the rails on the deck but my handyman repaired them immediately. The air conditioner in the kitchen was indeed noisy, and if you had let me know while you were there, I could have replaced it right then, instead of after the next guests arrived (who did notify me so we could replace it then). I’m not sure why you had trouble with the refrigerator, as it continues to work perfectly. Perhaps the initial loading, or frequent door opening, was what caused it to take longer to reach your desired temperature. I’m sorry you felt that the cooling was somehow unreliable, as that is not the case.. This traditional Jersey shore beach house was obviously not what you were expecting, and I’m very concerned that you could not see from the pictures that this is an obviously older home, not a condo unit. We show a street view of the whole house, not just the interior rooms, as we absolutely want people to know what to expect and to be happy with their Jersey shore experience I am truly sorry our little beach house did not meet your expectations.

Spectacular View!

We enjoy this house so much that we will be renting for the third straight year! Comfortably sleeps my group of 5, with all the comforts you need and more. However, the true charm is the location & view! The deck (where we spend most of our time) affords an amazing view of the ocean, perfect for sunrises, fireworks, or people watching. House is directly across from a lovely beach. Can`t wait till July! BTW just a 15 minute walk to Asbury Park!

The house is old. But, it is the perfect location and the deck and the view is second to none. Mary Ann is hands on and is incredibly helpful. We are already planning our stay for next year we Loved it.

Nothing Fancy....The View and the Price Make It

The View from the deck is second to none. It's absolutely breathtaking. The apartment itself leaves much to be desired. The decor is pitiful and the furniture is old and uncomfortable. In fact, the accessories...bedding, pillows, etc. that are shown in the pictures, are not currently in the home. What they had was faded and stained. I am amazed that the owners put absolutely ZERO time, money or effort into making the place resemble a beach house. The few cooking utensils that they had were incredibly cheap and not all were working. The TV is small, old, and has a terrible picture. The strange thing is, the owner could spend a few hundred dollars on accessories and cute bedding, throw up a coat of paint, and replace the broken chairs on the porch, and make it a cute little place. As it is, the furnishings and decor are dumpy and depressing...... like leftovers from a garage sale....the things no one would buy. That being said, if you value location and view and can get past the interior, it's a good value. I would probably stay there again, but would bring memory foam for the mattresses, and my own pots, pans and utensils.

Wonderful beach house with a great ocean view

Overall we had a good time. The bathroom was slow in flushing and it could have used a more thorough cleaning, but the view from the balcony was great. The landlord was very accessible and helpful.
